Romance › Re: Should I Marry A Woman Who Is Not From My Tribe? - Diary Of A Jobless Nigerian by kakaG: 12:16pm On Apr 29, 2016 |
Blackberrybabes: I travelled home to see my parents over the weekend and I must say it was nice seeing them after close to 2 months. I saw them last on Jan 1st after the New Year’s celebration. I am just this kind of guy that loves staying far from my childhood area. I believe you are much more appreciated if people see less of you. Even in my University days, I might go home for just once in a year and anytime I go home, I am always hailed like a king on the street. I love this so much, makes me feel like the King of the Street.
Dad and mum were so delighted to see me and trust our mums, she saw with her x-ray eyes that I was getting so lean, when I have always thought I am living large and changing to the man with the big stature I always dreamt of becoming. Dad also confirmed this and trust African parents, they began to prescribe all sorts of drugs from Vitamin supplements to blood tonic, to Epo Eja which is Cod Liver oil and so on. I told them I would get all that.
After a moment, my mum left us and went to see her friend in the next building. Then the man-to-man talk between me and my dad started. You know dads now. They are more concerned about your goals and achievements. He began by asking how work is faring and my plans for the New year. He talked about advancing my studies to the Phd level. That this would give me an edge over my colleagues and even my superiors. I didn’t bother to mention to him that I was not going further beyond this Masters degree that I posses.
Then he popped the question. “How is your girlfriend doing?” I initially pretended as if I didn’t hear that and he repeated himself. I made him understand I have non that I have been so much busy with work and plans to move my career to the next level. Then he asked the master question. “From which tribe will you like to marry from?” I told him I can marry from any tribe as long she is human.
He said no, that some tribes are better left alone due to their culture and so on, blah blah blah. I tried to orientate him that we are all one. That one cannot judge the attitude or behavior of an individual from the general perception of her tribe. He tried to prove his point. I didn’t bother to argue with him, because if I did, the conversation would last for hours which I was not ready to engage in.
But why are our parents always particular about tribes when we are all one Nigeria. There was this time this Tanzanian lady came to our office and it wasn’t until when she mentioned that she was from that country before we realized she wasn’t a Nigerian. She looked so much like a Nigerian. This is just to tell that we are all one and we should not be judged by our tribes, but by the contents of our hearts, individually.
....Diary of a Jobless Nigerian Youth
http://www.blackberrybabes.com/2016/04/should-i-marry-woman-who-is-not-from-my.html My only advice is for you to properly equip yourself with the patience, understanding and be ready to integrate or come to compromise when the need arises. Experience has taught me that not being prepared as advised above means living in he'll the first 2-5 years of your marriage. And like I said, without understanding nd patience unnecessary arguments are bound to ensue now and then especially when different cultures and upbringing come to play. Get prepared and go ahead. |

Jarus: 12. IWOBI: Tried to bring bite to our attack when he came in. Tried through passes, but the recipients couldn't convert. He should be a little more daring himself. 5/10
13. ECHIEJILE: Came in early, but largely quiet. Looked rusty. Came in at a time we were attacking, and little defending to do. The Egyptians also stopped using the flanks and were using the central midfield to penetrate and banking on counter attack, so he wasn't call to test that much. 4/10
SIASIA: Not sure he has much blame, but we expected victory. I'm beginning to agree he's our best local coach. The players are letting us down, but it hardly has much to do with the coach. One thing: Siasia's team's trademark attack was seen in this game. I think he should be retained and given more time. 5/10 Nice rating. However, I rather feel the boys did well except for the fact that the squad lacked technical backing. For God's sake didn't the technical crew study the Egyptians? How do you play Arial balls into the 18 yard box when they are taller than your stickers? How do you also play more of passes when the long legged opponents are sure to intercept your move? The technical crew should know better that our best chances of scoring would have been by shots at goal, that's all. Let them just keep the present young, energetic and determined players together by playing more friendlies as they are sure to deliver some day. Finally, in as it hurts us to hear this, we need a foreign experienced technical adviser. |

Career › Re: Sleep With Me Or I Fire You - My Female Boss. by kakaG: 1:22pm On Nov 20, 2015 |
[My dear brother, what you are experiencing isn't new at all and it requires the grace of God to overcome.
I had a similar experience which started the first day I resumed a new job. She was then a marketing executive just like me, but had worked with the coy two years before I joined. She was the first person that came to me that first day saying she was pleased to meet me and hoped we will work together as a team. Having been trained to work as a team in marketing, I had no objection and accepted.
We started working together under the then GM marketing and actually did well and I of course used my experience on the job to make a lot happen for my department. We also drove to work and back home together since we lived in thesame area and I felt I was just being human, at least a nice person. Note here that I also dropped off her hubby most times on our way to work, so he was also aware I dropped her at work and after work.
We soon started biking home when my car developed a fault and we would both take same bike as she would insist she would not take a bike with someone she didn't know. I didn't know that at this point she had developed feeling for me and had something up her sleeves.
One day, while we were in the office there was an issue down stairs and everyone ran outside to have a glimpse of what was going on while I remained on my seat working on an important document. Suddenly she came straight at me and sat on my laps rubbing her backside on my manhood. I pushed her away immediately and as she left she didn't utter a word. Later while everyone were back to work she said in Yoruba that she wasn't sure my manhood worked and everyone laughed not knowing what had happened. I also warned her on that. I didn't know I had become her enemy at this point but decided to cut off the closeness we had so as to avoid temptations. This unknown to me angered her more.
Suddenly I started having issues with my MD who she was very close to. I was accused of things I didn't know about and in the twinkle of an eye things I did became of low standard according to management. She lobbied for the GM to be asked to resign and assumed head of marketing. At this point my problems didn't double but tripled. I was given an official car as assistant head of marketing and she made sure it was retrieved in less than Week because we had an argument at work.
I managed to do my work professionally and soon enough clients were talking highly of me in the industry. My MD and I started working closely again and won new accounts which boosted the company revenue and clientele base. Then it started again.
This time it went atomic (by that I mean daibolic). I would be sick off and on, would have terrible dreams of being chased here and there, escaped accidents a few time and I had to discuss with my pastor who reveled to me that a certain woman who made advances at me was responsible. We prayed and prayed for a solution, but she didn't relent. At some point God used people I didn't know to ask me to resign as its the only way I can save my head from calamities. I did as I was told by several servants of God and friends. I resigned.
Job or not, I am glad I didn't cheat on my wife with a married woman and above all I didn't sin against God.
Bottom line is that there are two solutions to your problem. Do it, do it well and continue to live in regret as it will surely end someday or reject it and by that not sinning against God. Your choice.
I have moved on now and doing better than ever.
quote author=collinspro post=40212086]I am messed up right now and I need your advice. I work in a company where I report directly to a lady. My woe started when I went to her office one day to pick up a file. As I entered her office, my phone rang so I decided to take the call. The call was a bit long so she decided to get the file for me from one of the file cabinets. As she bent for the bottom drawer her skirt tore terribly exposing her panties. The phone almost dropped from my hand. I tried to hurry out of the office but she called me back to help her go across the street to stitch it. I was almost frozen. Ever since then she has been disturbing me to sleep with her.
She said she gave me the job because she love me. I just got married and don't want to cheat. Yesterday, she called me and and dropped the bombshell " if you don't sleep with me I will fire you". What do I do? I don't want to lose that job. I am considering reporting her to my general manager but I am afraid of the consequence.[/quote] |

This your die hard patriotism makes you sound dumb. In am very sure after four years this administration will still be blaming PDP for their failure. See, the truth be told Mr President needs to work out something now and suspend this his unnecessary journeying. After all wasn't that the reason they took power in 1983? If he didn't believe in it at that time he shouldn't be doing so now. The mark of a man is taking up responsibilities, making things happen and not blaming others for his flaws. mazeltov: No offence, Mr Bruce Lee- I don't know where you belong but analysing the way you do come on social media and wail, I need no prophet to tell me that you are from Pdp. I don't know whether a curse has been laid on that party. It's easier to destroy something than to repair it. It only takes less than 15 minutes for an explosion of atomic bomb to completely destroy a place and it will take more than 5 years to develop the place again. Pdp is the main reason behind the woes of this country. Had it been that Pdp led administration effectively manage the affairs of this nation- sail the ship of our nation to a promising shore, there wouldn't have been any reason to mount pressure on Apc government to act fast. This country was handed over to Apc in a complete broken state, they masturbated with the glory of this country and wine-and-dine with the fate of many youths for a good 16 years yet, they are expecting Apc lead government to clean up the mess within four years. see, we don't want magic in fact there is no magic wand to wave, we just want a new and solid foundation for the future of this country. Honestly, I am no expecting much from the present administration because this isn't different from previous ones. In fact, this is worse than past administrations because they hid under the guise of change to hypnotize Nigerians into voting hoodlums and old hands back into power.
Let's be sincere here, change is suppose to mean overhauling a system and by that introducing newer or young vibrancy into same system. This also means an introduction of new ideas. What we are beginning to witness is a continuity of same politicians who will stop at nothing to remain in power. There is no hope for younger generations to bring in anything new into governance.
We wiill continue to witness international trips that will yeild nothing positive. We will also remian in this sad state until we realize these old dudes have nothing to offer anymore.
