Those ones just siddon for local govt Hqs dey collect salary, they can't even operate the rifles they're carrying deploy them to go quell protest and they will be accidentally shooting themselves till non of them is left. The only good thing about them is that them they try wash their uniform once in a while and appear cleaner than their senior brothers (NPF).
Very sad ehnn

We should also be asking where is NSCDC ?
Wasn't that agency created to compliment the police in internal security?
Worse of all they were given weapons to be docile!

Doesn't change the point i was making, chain of command, if those cops are there, in better countries, those cops will have commanders on scene, without soldiers getting involved, or deployed. So the issue isn't even about the poor cops, it's the fact that they don't have senior police officers there to lead those cops. Still, soldiers can't charge cops, i doubt that even happen in Nigeria, he doesn't have the power

The police officer is an ACP (Assistant commissioner of police) who was clearly leading the cops there while the Airforce officer is an Air Commodore.

Thank you.
You'll document with Army HQ and collect your personnel number, ID card, parchment of commission (offer), pay office and IPPIS. You might also know your corp during documentation.
Ok thanks

I saw a video of a Major dialoguing with protesters in Osun, the guy was very professional and sensible and he carefully de-escalated a very fragile situation within minutes same for another Officer in another video in Lagos. The NA as an institution isn't the problem the individuals are, and it is up to individuals(personnel) to uphold the tenets of their oaths which is rooted in the constitution so as not to tarnish the image of the institution. We can all see the uproar and the attendant negative press the actions of the Lekki butchers brought upon the NA as an institution, I believe another officer would have acted differently. Nigerian army is not the problem, some few personnels are.
For those still in doubt about disregarding unlawful order, please watch this video of DSSC 25 oath taking. Goto 6:48mins. They clearly swore to obey lawful orders.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdkWmX0bpJw
That major was a shining example for all officers to see.
Does he have two heads ?

Worse of all the lekki CO was a useless senior to the major and disgrace.

I condemn the killings but

Which soldiers will come on uniform for such operation? Those tags aren't for camo. Moreover it's very rare for them to drop such exhibits easily.

Moreover them no dey send commisoned officers for this kind dirty job. Even if they will, they won't be more than 1 and he'll just be there to supervise and give orders.
Bar all the shameful shooting I think this particular case is a set up.

I also know an officer of that rank with the same initials from the closest barracks to that vicinity.

What's your problem self?

Can't you just type words complete rather than typing like one illiterate WhatsApp user?

Please modify your comments for easy read, just for future reference sake. And also try to punctuate your sentences. You're making it for someone to understand what you're trying to express. Peace!!

FYI, I don't have time to respond to you incase you come back fighting. I don't want to believe you're a dog to bark back.
Bros leave her abeg, she seem to have difficulty expressing herself in words.
Regardless we all should accomodate and see the good in her, so koes sorry for the hash words and misunderstandings.

Can we all move forward now?

That might not be the only thing they were doing since then, pension will take 2days from that, collection of posting letters to corps also, so it might not be only documentation, and considering their number again
well non of us knows for sure, used to work as an HR some years ago and these are things I do in time.

Documentation as it entails, is like just giving your details now to Nigerian army as your are now a full property of the army after graduating from NDA, you will give details like, Bank information (current account, as most cadets use savings), Pensions, NOk, signing of oath of secrecy and allegiance, for married officers you give name of your spouse and 4 children (if u have up to) plus 1 dependent for free medical purpose, and any other personal details and documents for army records
Just that! That shouldnt take time since Monday na

It should be similar to the Final year clearance everyone did after uni graduation. just that this time it would be academy clearance. I feel you will account for all weapons, training uniforms and some academy effects given to you during the training.

Afternoon gentlemen. We just finished documentation and clearance, then collected our passes. To God be the glory, thank you to the veterans who assisted us with tips and answered our questions. I've found your inputs very useful during screening and the training. Special thanks to Ugo4u, God bless you man.

For those with questions, mention me on this thread and I'll do my best to respond to all of them. Please no PM, let it be public so others can benefit too.
Congratulations, just curious what documentation post training entails ?

Can you share with us if isn't classified ?

I've been thinking...
Most religions condemn suicide and see it as a sin; punishable by ever-lasting torment.. Now if a soldier, in the heat of battle, shoots himself im the head? Is that suicide? Would the said soldier go to hell? If yes?.. Now what if, a soldier pulls the pin on a grenade and kills both himself and enemies surrounding him, is that also suicide??
I no know how to phrase the question. I just hope someone gets what I'm trying to ask..
Bleep religion, you do what has to be done man.
