It has been an indeed busy time for me since we got our last consignment of drip kits and spray tubes reason I have been off this thread for a while now. Was at my oga :omotinugbonkace farm site earlier today and put the plumbers through on how they will install the drip tapes and spray tubes.

SenseiAri:The best irrigation system for tomatoes is the drip irrigation system...You are welcomed anytime! |
biggal:Replied! |
obstead200:Tomatoes will do well anywhere in the world, you just need to condition your soil and buy breeds that will do well in your environment. With good agric management practices it might even do better than expected! |

pat077:Then don't be ready to harvest anything meaningful! #simpleandshort |
omotinugbonkace:Thanks for the vote of confidence sir! The next time you pick up your package with us, I will make sure you sign the 'original copy collected by me' document because you have downloaded the items when they were in China. Lol. Nice doing business with you! |
Please dont grow anything without irrigation, especially maize! They will all die off with the scorching sun and lack of water and even if they manage to survive they will have stunted growth and poor/unmarketable yield! Ondedot47: |
The candid and direct answer is this...nobody knows for certain! Successful Ugu farming is based on proper watering and shading during the fist few weeks, effective pruning and subsequent routine maintenance, manuring weeding and effective watering. michodemic: |
darknface:Yes they will... plantains will survive the harshest of weathers with proper irrigation! |
biggal:I want to by this post encourage you on this laudable project, don't mind if people laugh at you o. Look for sacks and start now! All you need do now is propagate as many stems as you can and instead of harvesting them to sell you keep replanting until you have replanted over 2000 sacks then introduce irrigation from next month ending. Don't allow the soil to discourage you, look for soils under plantains trees, look for composted manure(those ones with saw dust) or anyother growing media. I will gladly mentor you for FREE just to make sure you succeed on this and to shock anyone who thinks you can't make money from it. #Contactme |
sodiquisty:Maize is good but planting indigenous vegetables (Ugu, water leaf, green and red amaranth, chochorus-ewedu.) using effective irrigation systems is the real deal this dry season. All you need do is start as much as your money can manage successfully and smile every week! |
