That's odd, I used to be hooked on Colos for a while, but after prayers I kicked the habit, but I've never heard anyone dying from it, not defending it, but it's bad anyway. It brings an intense feeling of doom
I want to believe the body respond to these drugs differently.

It's like how some people would almost die if they drink milk or sugar.

I know 2 people that will never be normal again because of Indian hemp.

I have actually pimped ladies to men. I just didn't take it seriously as I was managing my parents' hotels. The potential earnings would not be more than what I managed. Also, I was not in Lagos or Abuja, where there were wealthier men who wanted privacy while seeking hookers.

But pimping is something I have done.

I wish OP success, but I don't know the market size of melon and how much profits one can generate from such a venture.

The difference now is that people want quick money. Do you know what it takes for a graduate to serve food and wash plates in a restaurant? And learn how to braid and sew? Only months before then I was sitting in the front seat of a handsome dude’s car forming “babe”huh Do you think it was easy to walk away from that kind of luxury to face hardship? How many young girls of nowadays can do that? But even in the relationship I face oppression that I knew would only get worse in marriage!!!

The advantage they have now is even more than what we had back then. Now everyone makes money through tik Tok and YouTube. Lots of IT and STEM opportunities that we never had then. Now people work in Nigeria and earn in foreign currencies from providing services online. There are now very organized importation and exportation businesses. The girl I buy foodstuffs from to ship abroad is only 24. You think she will marry an old man out of desperation?

I have nephews and nieces who are recent graduates and already working, some are into businesses. The way we were raised, no offspring of ours will ever see hook up as a means of income.

My boss made her daughter learn make up, nails, hair, sewing, all while she was in the university. Even though she knew she was sending the girl abroad after graduation.

My point is that, you are what you make of yourself. Rich people stay rich because they plan their future. Poor people plan based on other people’s benevolence!

My daughter braids at 13 and she does it for fun now, but this is a skill that can earn her money in the future.

I pray I don’t teach them that things are hard now and it’s okay to follow men for money. What kind of mother would I be?
God bless you ma!

You have stated many points on this thread that I really love.

Outside of subsaharan Africa, what metric do you have that proves that there are more good-looking people therein?

What is the metric of beauty being used and how do you distinguish this from someone being plain average or ugly?

Explain to us how you came about these conclusions of yours.

Link:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7384173/
The research work got nothing on what I said.

Open your eyes and compare, on average, not subsaharan people are better looking.

It's not uncommon that an average Nigerian will go off point to make a discussion endless like you are doing right now.

My point still stands, physical features which include beauty, are very important in choosing a spouse.

Tenks! smiley

Geovanni412:
The people with the most desirable features for survival are the ones who procreate

Think on this,

If ugly people were undesirable, why have they been more successful in procreating?
grin

Your think piece is a fallacy, so I won't engage it.

Ugliness is never a desirable feature for procreation.

When the majority are ugly tho, potential mates will have no choice than to pick from the available.

Outside of subharan Africa, a lot of people are very good-looking.

Geovanni412:
Most of these criteria are irrelevant

All a man needs is a smart (not opinionated), loyal and kind woman

Physical features fade away with old age.
Ugly man don drop quote.

Sometimes typing can be very boring and stressful, especially when you have a lot to say at once.

Imagine a situation where as a 9-5er working in Lagos, you just returned from work (after beating that Lagos traffic)...and someone important gives you a lengthy chat that can't wait..Omo! Me na VN go solve am o!
Talking is more stressful than typing.

You probably don't know this because you all are talkatives.
Romance › Re: Why I Can't Marry Below My Economic Class. by Karleb(m): 12:44pm On Apr 21, 2024
Gerrard59:
That is true. But I think for women, they come after financial stability. Sure, a lady who seeks marriage would choose a younger dude over an older man all things being equal. What I am curious about is how modern-day women are yet to understand that there are fewer men who are financially stable, and those who are yet single have many women at their beck and call YET want monogamy. Na wetin, I tell a female doctor friend who is based in Abuja: there are few men you describe, and if they are single, they have many women in their lives. She even wants the one with less body count. shocked
She should wait a bit. Jesus is coming.

Even tho it's important for a man to be up and doing but not all women are actually after money. It's a shame the ones after money have louder voices that those who care little about such.

My pastor recently shared a story of how his wife was feeding him when he lost his job and his new job wasn't paying enough. It went on for years o until he was back to his feet. This man I'm talking about is in the top ten earners in his local government in Lagos as of today.

Gerrard59:
Well, at the end of the day, you would still marry a woman who earns less than you. That is the truth, especially for Nigerian men who are antsy about their wives out-earning them. It is hypergamy women always aspire to men higher than they (women). It is evolutionary and
biologically. Heck, it is even economical, if not for gender equality which has reduced the number of jobs available to men.

However, where you come top is when you get women interested in you as you earn well. You would be accused of cheating by your wife or serious girlfriend, but to me, you are merely exercising your options. As long as you provide for the family and don't carry diseases to madam, I say go ahead. You are enjoying your prime, just as she had hers. Life na turn by turn.

P.S. My sister has told me the same and I laughed it off. Women are the same everywhere. In fact, Nigerian women's hypergamy is small. Swiss and Chinese Singaporean women's hypergamy are off the roof.
This hypergamy thing doesn't end with money.

There's good look.
Popularity.
Competency.
Youth.

I believe there should be others too.

Let's talk about these too.

Congratulations to Bayern Leverkusen.

They should do their best to keep Alonso and there players too to preserve that system.

I hope they can clinch a treble this season.

Xabi Alonso is another Zidane in the making.
