I ask u to tell me how many MW that buhari and his boys (ABACHA,IBB) added to the national grid in their 22yrs in power
PoliticsRe: Goodluck Bows In Defeat To Power Crisis. No Solution Within Sight by karlmax2: 11:38am On May 22, 2011
. Nigeria now generates 4,000Megawatts. Though this is only 10% the 40,000MW produced by South Africa, it is the greatest quantum of power ever generated in our history. In other words, Nigeria has, under Jonathan’s leadership, generated an additional 1,000MW in just one year. This is impressive by every account.

GEJ achieved dis in less than 1yr haters how many mega watt did BUHARI add to the national grid in his tenure as military head of state? Provide an answer if u can't shame on u people blind fools

NJC probe: Call logs are genuine •NSA tells panel probing Salami, others

Written by Lanre Adewole, Abuja

Friday, 20 May 2011

THE controversies over the call logs presented as exhibits at the ongoing National Judicial Council’s (NJC’s) probe panel

were laid to rest on Thursday with the testimony of the National Security Adviser (NSA) authenticating their genuineness.

Nigerian Tribune had exclusively reported on Thursday that the NSA would be testifying before the Justice Umaru Abdullahi panel investigating alleged rot in the judiciary.

The National Security Adviser (NSA), General Owoye Azazi, was represented by the Director, Lawful Intercept, Ndubuisi Onyia, who signed the cover letter that accompanied the call logs recovered by the security agencies from four mobile telecommunications companies in the country and made available to the probe panel on request.

Onyia, who was grilled for about two hours, reportedly told the panel that he was obeying the order of his boss to appear before the panel when the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Isa Salami, queried the authority on which he was testifying.

Former Governors Segun Oni of Ekiti State and Olagunsoye Oyinlola of Osun State and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Osun State chapter, had accused Salami and some justices of his court of being financially-induced to award victory to the Action Congress of Nigeria in the state governorship appeals.

Call logs allegedly detailing conversation between the jurists and the politicians were produced alongside their petitions while the security agencies recovered more call logs from the telecommunications firms.

Salami had kicked against the call logs from the security agencies being tendered as exhibit by the petitioners on Wednesday, insisting that only the NSA that recovered the call logs could tender them as exhibits.

He was said to have challenged the authority that sent Onyia to testify at the panel.

In his evidence-in-chief, Onyia reportedly confirmed the genuineness of the call logs, adding that they were from the telecommunications companies in relation to the ongoing probe.

He reportedly added that the call logs were forwarded to the NJC as a body in a memory disc (flash drive).

He was also said to have been asked to identify the flash drive as the one from the NSA office and he reportedly did.

Under cross-examination by Salami’s counsel, Ricky Tarfa SAN, Onyia was said to have been queried on how he simply identified the flash drive without knowing whether the content had been altered, with the panel registry being reportedly asked to provide a laptop.

The flash drive, Nigerian Tribune gathered, was eventually opened before those who were present and the content was reportedly confirmed to be the call logs.

Chairman of the PDP in Osun State, Mr Ojo Williams, another petitioner also testified for about four hours while the communications expert brought by the petitioners had spent about an hour with the panel as of press time (7:13 p.m.).

Tarfa, while reportedly cross-examining Williams demanded to know how he got the call logs he submitted with the petition in January containing phone calls spanning five months because MTN claimed in its letter to the NJC in April that it could only produce logs from February to April, as all others had disappeared from its system. Williams was said to have replied that it was plain mischief on the part of the MTN to have claimed that it could not produce all the months demanded from it, pointing out that MTN gave itself out when in May, 2011, it released December 2010 and January 2011 call logs to the NSA in which it was shown that Justice Salami and Alhaji Lai Mohammed exchanged text messages on December 12, 2010 at 2.50 p.m.

Former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who gave evidence on Wednesday, told the panel that Justice Salami was not telling the truth when he claimed that the votes in the 10 local governments were not entirely cancelled.

Meanwhile, a human rights organisation, Access to Justice, on Thursday condemned the appointment of Salami as chairman of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, where the Congress of Progressive Change (CPC) is challenging the election of President Goodluck Jonathan in the April 16 presidential poll.

The group said its objection was based on the petition against him before the NJC and the fact that there was a probe panel investigating him on the allegation of graft.

It said the appellate court president should exercise patience until after being cleared by a probe panel.

A statement by the executive director of the group, Mr Joseph Chu’ma Otteh, said “we think his participation in this tribunal is a mistake and that the learned Justice should not, at this time, be sitting over any election tribunal until he has been cleared by the NJC of allegations of judicial misconduct currently pending against him.

“Justice Salami has been accused by ex-governors of Ekiti and Osun states of gross misconduct in the course of adjudicating earlier electoral disputes where those governors lost.

“They have alleged that Honourable Justice Salami was holding illicit, ex parte communication with attorneys representing political parties in the election appeal tribunals, over which he (Justice Salami) presided and that he corruptly awarded judgment to the parties.”

The group said it was safer and more honourable for Justice Salami, who had, up till now, not been indicted for any offence or misconduct, not to sit on any election tribunal until when the NJC cleared him of any wrongdoing.

This only shows how very naïve u are u want GEJ to solve nigerias 50yr old problem that your mentor buhari and his partners in coup in one year of his tenure.GEJ is not a magician or has a magic wand that he would waive and everything would be ok in a nigeria that her resources was raped by BUHARI and his GANG of thieves yea I got my initial message frome a site so save ur aguement and google his name and u would see more of his achievements as a brief tenure as governor

“The superior man is distressed by the limitations of his ability; he is not distressed by the fact that men do not recognize the

ability that he has”.

As at the time Dr. Goodluck Jonathan was picked to be a running mate of Late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, the state of finances in Bayelsa was at its nadir. The Governor had set up the Capital City Development Authority to implement the Yenagoa Master Plan so all that u see in bayelsa today. For those of us that has been there and not morons that don't knw noting was conceived and started by GEJ . He had also initiated the 4-Star and International conference centre;improved tourism. And entertainment in bayelsa , the Millennium Park and many heavy infrastructural projects with huge capital outlay. These are some of the lofty projects the Sylva administration has completed!!!! Even sylva himself acknowledges this!!!! haters u can google and find out.

he took the burden of rebuilding Odi, Odioama and other communities sacked by the Military?I knw u short sighted fools may have forgotten like u forget how ur mentor BUHARI nearly turned NIgeria to his private property!!!
This is just some of his achievements
In less than 2 years as governor for those morons who do not know

I will end with this line According to Lao-Tsu “To lead people, walk beside them … As for the best leaders, the people do not notice their existence. The next best, the people honor and praise. The next, the people fear; and the next, the people hate … When the best leader’s work is done the people say, ‘We did it ourselves!. President GEJ is a leader who does not seek glory for his achievements; he would rather say we have succeeded.

When obama came to power like GEJ people said he has not achieved noting and he is weak!!!

It is on the basis of this, that we make a minimum demand of the arrest and trial of Generals Muhammadu Buhari, Ibrahim Babangida and Aliyu Gusau. This should also include, Mallam Adamu Ciroma and Alhaji Abubakar Atiku. Failing which, we shall mobilize our people to visit vengance and anger on all Hausa and Fulani people we can find inside and outside our region. We deliberately waited for the end of elections to make this well-thought-out declaration as we did not want to be dragged into the murky water of Nigeria politics.

Niger Delta Militants Demand the arrest & Trial of Buhari, Babangida, Gusau, Others

Press Release By The Joint Revolutionary Council (Jrc) Of Niger Delta - NOW THAT ELECTIONS ARE OVER

We suspended our armed campaign for the independence of the Niger Delta when we discovered that General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and his co-travellers in the Northern Political Leaders Forum (NPLF) were attempting to fund hoodlums in our region to engage in terrorist activities aimed at painting a picture that the Niger Delta freedom fighters are against the Presidential ambition of President Goodluck Jonathan

. We saw that the activities of criminal groups funded by the NPLF to oppose the Nigerian President would taint our genuine struggle for the independence of Niger Delta. However, we do not have anything against the Presidential ambition of President Goodluck Jonathan who happens to be from our region that has been politically marginalized under the heavy burden of internal colonialism.

Nevertheless, elections have come and gone. It is unfortunate that those who submitted themselves to the process refused to adhere to the layed down laws, rules and regulation enshrined in the Nigerian Electoral Act. Instead they resorted to violence in Northern Nigeria. The violence has led to the indescribable massacre of 10,000 innocent civillians of Southern Nigerian origin by miscreats and supporters of General Muhammadu Buhari and his Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) which lost in the April 16, 2011 Presidential Election. Also, thousands of homes, shops and places of religious worship of people from the south of Nigeria living in the north were burnt and bombed. It is sad that nothing concrete has been done to bring the masterminds and perpetrators of these dastardly acts to justice. We all know that the northern quartet of Mallam Adamu Ciroma, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, General Aliyu Gusau and General Ibrahim Babangida promised that hell will let loose if ruling party (PDP) refused to zone the presidency of Nigeria to the north, thereby setting the tone for a return to a north/south political rivalry. As part of their plans to achieve that, they sponsored terrorist bomb attacks in different part of Nigeria, including an attempt on the life of President Goodluck Jonathan on October 1, 2010. Their attempt to intimidate him out of the Presidential Primaries of PDP failed and he won.

Furthermore, the northern quartet rallied round and joined forces with General Muhammadu Buhari and his northern-based CPC in a bid to promote their Northern Regional bias. General Muhammadu Buhari tried to absolve himself of the massacre and mayhem in the north, but there are evidence to proove that he and the northern quartet were the mastermind. Before the beginning of the electoral process he said severally that Nigeria would become another Somalia. He also promised an uprising if the PDP prevents him from winning. The biggest of them all was when he alleged that the ruling party flew millions of ballot papers to several parts of the country in the previous night before the election day. In that reckless remark, he rejected the possible outcome of the election and vowed that he would never challenge the result of election in court neither will he contest in any election after 2011. With this comment, he set the tone for the sporadic violence and massacre of the lives of 10,000 innocent civillians of southern extraction in the north.

It is sad that when statesmen were patriotically calling for the arrest and trial of General Muhammadu Buhari, he and his supporters dared the Nigerian government to arrest him and see the consequence. This act of arrogance and impunity should not be encouraged. Post election violence in Kenya that took this form of tribal violence and massacre led to the investigation of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and today, people are being tried for 'crimes against humanity'. Unless this is done in Nigeria, this matter will not be put to rest. This has been a recurring decimal in our checkered political history and the Nigerian Civil War was a fallout of the first ethnic cleansing in Nigeria in 1966 orchestrated by elements from the same Northern Nigeria who believe that they were born to rule. They are not even considering the repercussion that would befall Nigeria if we choose to react violently.

Ignore this declaration at your own peril!

The Niger Delta Struggle Continues!!

Long Live the Niger Delta!!!

@abagworo and other sore losers!!! Here is an eye withness report of a corpper that conducted election in the north

*Jones was invited by Aik to his own lodge so they spent their friday together. On the day of the election, they all went to their polling booths. *Jones said the people coming for acreditation in his own booth were children between the ages 10-14yrs. He wanted to object, but he was threatened. When it the time for voting came, another set of children came.this time, they were as little as 6yrs. He allowed them to vote also and then gave them the remaining ballot paper. When it was time to write the results on the sheets, they told him the figure they wanted him to write. They even told him to write the figure on the other sheets he was supposed to write on only when he got to the local govt. They followed him to the local govt to submit the result so he doesnt report or do anything. On his way back,he met Aik going to submit his & he was followd by multitude of people. He asked Aik why he was been followed & Aik said he didnt agree to do all they wanted.
