Pros trade only when they are comfortable with the risk. It takes time to come up with a working trading system, but it is even more challenging following it.

eurusd formed a bearish pinbar yesterday on 4hours chart rejecting a major resistance. watchout because eurusd is likely to touch 1.3150 if price closes below the pinbar low.

I meant 1000+pips. The mystery is that as I am typing this, the tail has disappeard. I still wonder what could have gone wrong/happened; I trade with fxpro.

I am seeing a 1000pip tail overnight in my GBPAUD chat. Is anybody else seeing this? What could have happened as I cant find a clue from other pairs?

Was it GBP or AUD?

Caution on AU buys now. Is it douple top I am seeing so? Caution on USD sell just yet please. I am better off closing the month with zero profit than giving back to the market - hard learnt lesson!

It is the bane of forex traders. I picked a loss today too, but the joy is that I followed my strategy. It is more painful when you know the loss was your fault. You can/will always get it back anyways.

But in all you do, please don't try getting back at the market. For me, I will only trade again tomorrow; done for today with that single 45pip loss!

Wont be bad to buy USDCAD at 1.0350.

Not a good way to trade IMO. Trading like that could keep you tensed up. Trade as if you don't need the money, and see how relaxed you will be with your trading.

@Swiftz, as Odiaero has pointed out, fxpro is a good choice, but I want to add that if you are going to be settling with price action as your core trading method, then I will advise that you go with FXDD; that is what I've been using and no complains till now. The choice is totally yours!

You cannot trade with $100 with fxpro - $500 is the minimum. Try fxopen.

kashif, i hope you are watching the DOW? It made Naijababe very happy this week, I opened my position on the DOW on Monday evening at 10850 with a 50 pips risk, it closed at 11320 earlier this afternoon; currently at 11400 but i aint complaining  . I took a sell on gold at 1820 yesterday too and banked 400 outta that one and my EJ is still running. I'll close on Friday evening if it does not get to my preferred target of 109.00. Shop closed for the week

@Blog icon and Aguiyi, what swiftz is complaining about Alpari is not a matter of spread IMO. I have posted about that issue on this thread when somebody was looking for assistance on choosing a broker.  Alpari ignores TPs and pending orders even when it is clear that price moved more than 15pips past that point. It has happened to me many times, and that is one of the things I have against Alpari.

@swiftz, if you are trading live, consider leaving Alpari.

So you saw that too? As huge targets are tough this period, (none hit this week so far) I decided to take it in 50s. Today, I waited to sell AU at .0290 for 50pip profit. When I checked to see how far, it was 5pips to target so I waited to watch it happen. It did, and about 30 seconds later, the thing just flew back like UFO!

What a narrow escape today!!

1.45XX? Haba! Take a look at the subtle downward trend line in H1 TF (attached). As a matter of fact, this trade had a perfect entry for me - price just touching my pending order without going a single pip further.

If you don't know why you keep losing or making money in fx trading, then you need to re-engineer your process.

EU getting set for another sell

If you are an avid EU and GU trader, then EURGBP is your friend. I don't trade EG, but I always have it around to enable me decide on which of EU or GU has a better trade potential.

Of all the aspects of technicals, supports and resistances are arguably the most reliable. What am I saying? If you have your eyes on EU and GU, and they are both at levels you are comfortable entering short, it wont be a bad idea to look at EG. If EG is at say, H4 resistance (first test) then,  one of these would happen -  GBP gets stronger, or EUR weakens.

In the case above, if you are looking at selling either of EU or GU, EU is a better option. This is because either way, EU will move more.

I guess you know what to look out for if the trade positions are in reverse.

Hello all,stumbled on this thread a couple of days ago and i must say i am quite impressed with the level of contributions.I delved into forex sometime ago but was dealt harshly by wicked brokers & I left it.I am abt getting back into the business and i need broker suggestions pls.I need a broker who doesn't do the following:stop loss hunting,freeze platforms during mild and volatile news or during very profitable trades,do requotes,do slippages,do crazy widening of spreads during large movements and don't have withdrawal issues.
Suggested brokers based on your experience would be appreciated.

Just like meteorxtra mentioned, try and stay away from Alpari.

I am with fxpro, and there has been no issues, only that you must have quality internet connection to enjoy them. (Have a DNS issue and get disconnected) If this is not the case, you will see a lot of requotes (common with most fifth-digit quoting brokers). Worthy of note however is that fxpro does not offer mini account trading.

I forgot to add that they have one of the lowest spreads I have seen so far. Another to consider is fxopen if you want to trade micro/mini accounts, just that I don't know how far with their licensing. Very reliable price streaming, quick execution, quick deposit and withdrawal, but high spread.
