@honeric, when paulo said "the trend is your friend", I think he was referring to the common saying in trading, not specifically referring to UJ. His thoughts were spot on. UJ has been in a sustained downtrend from 92.80 so, you are not currently sure (though this is most likely) that it would reverse. For me, this pair is not attractive now even though it could be seen shedding more two hundred pips before looking up. Since it failed to reverse when I expected, I would wait for a pullback and then sell, if that is the best opportunity I find. Remember - the more it heads down, the more the likelihood of an intervention from BOJ. |
The NFP effect seems to have worn away, and the market is getting back to its former sentiment. JPY could regain strength. |
paulo1234:Personally, I favour a sell on this one. My reason being that it has approached the .8360 resistance. Second, the H1 chart shows what I see as an evident upward move slowdown. If you must go long, wait for this resistance to be broken. Just my 50kobo. |
Watching USDCAD, trying to find a buy entry, ![]() |
paulo1234:It depends on what you trade bro. |
JAZES:In line with my thoughts too. Have scanned the charts this morning and saw that a couple of entries have been missed. Today looks like one of those days - sidon look. Opportunities might still spring up anyways. Where is martog? |
UJ looking good for a buy entry. |
Check out the daily candle on AUDUSD for yesterday - mine is long and wickless |
jamace:LOL! But really, I wonder why all those people who claim to see the future not harvesting millions from the fx market |
I agree with jamace, though I like to be able to interpret a clear direction (possibly) of a trend before trading. I am not able to do that with EU so, it is a 'no trade' for now. I would be more comfortable to trade GU. GBP is not loved currently. The difference between brokers' prices are minimal, or so I think. @afroil, what will you say about me who trade without any single indicator? ![]() |
Don't do news, even though I respect the NFP. |
JAZES:I feel you man, especially after the stunt EU put up. GU has clearly shown that it is interested in probing further down a bit, with it lower lows and lower highs. With this setup, a pull up would present a sell opportunity. So, 1.5475 would be ideal. On the other hand, I would wait and see what EU has up its sleeves before trying it again. It got to 1.2600 and turned back. It dropped again, and failed to get to that point, indicating that sellers might be losing the battle. Now it has broken above 1.2770, the next move could be anybody's guess. I pitched my tent with GBPCAD at day end yesterday after the conflicting signals I got from many other pairs. Cheers all ![]() |
Somebody should be looking to sell GU any moment from now ![]() |
Kashif:Anybody who took this trade should be in green now. I could not; today is another day. |
Stumbled on this thread and the name 'Ejitu' appears to be an enigma. Have taken pain to go through the thread from the very beginning. I have a little twist to the meaning of that name. I think its technical spelling is 'Ejitugh', just like 'Ikwuechegh', which is usually spelt without the last two letters. Ejitugh means, 'cannot be held down, suppressed, stopped, etc. Hope this helps. |
USDCHF is very close to 8month low. Looking good for a long trade. I am very tempted Sheer test of discipline! |
Guys should be considering GJ now for a buy trade, because 1.2877 support is very likely to hold. Wish I can take another trade for today |

Hmmmmm, Ify, I hula na adighi ekpuchi afo ime aka. ![]() |
JAZES:@JAZES, with your risk/reward ratio, it would take you five wins to make up three losses. Respect. |
methodman:A system is NOTHING until it goes live, and sticks out its head for 3months at least. Demo and back testing means nothing to some of us. When I started, I increased $5k to $14.5k within a week in a demo account. When I went live what happened? . I have discovered that demo trade profit breeds false confidence, especially for newbies. |
Is anybody looking at CHFJPY for short? |
martog:Bros, I did/could not find any mail from you. |
Today looks like one of those 'sidon dey look' days. |
juron:That support has been broken before ![]() |
newworldcapital:If the emboldened part is correct then you deserve what you got! If you are a trader like you claim then, you should know the rules of the business. I read where you said you traded the account from 1k to 2k again before returning it to him. Why did you not continue? You wanted to double your account in days and when it backfired you are crying foul. If you think he is capable of building your account why not let him, and stop venting your frustration here. Forex is not money-doubling venture. |
@martog, my aim was to get in at 1.0655 yesterday but missed. I got very busy with some other things and got distracted. When I checked, it had gone to 1.0635 after touching .0658. I thought it would get back to that point where I was very comfortable, but it did not. I always like to get in the trend as early as possible. Good to hear you got in after all. Cheers! I am trying to see if AUDUSD would bring in something; went in short at .8891 |
Kashif:Got distracted yesterday and missed to enter USDCAD short. When I looked, it had hit my target and going down without me so, I placed a pending order just in case it gets back. As at this morning, it never got back; I just feel like crying |
juron:I guess you meant 'overbought'. |
Looking @ two pairs: USDCAD and USDCHF. The latter seems to be re-writing its technicals ![]() |
