Nice job martog. I went in short on this pair at .2710 yesterday, and I don't see myself going out this week unless something else happens.

More sellers should just join the train grin
Had to manually close this after the US home sales figure. I have a feeling BOJ could intervene in the fx market anytime soon. Anyone with any clues? undecided

Yesterday was kinda bad for me (trading wise), so i am taking today off.
Nice move, though I thought you should have tried again today. Personally, I stay off for the day when my maximum daily loss is hit, to try again the next day. That's me o wink

@jaybee, I don't see anything wrong with a trader willing to share signals for free. Personally, I don't look at what/how anybody trades because I am cool with my strategy; this does not mean that there are no countless struggling traders.

I agree with you that signals could erode a traders confidence but, after huge losses, many traders (newbies), could leverage on fairly reliable signals to try building their account once more. Your intent was good but the presentation was rather aggressive. It takes a pro to make a pro.

@martog, please continue with the signals because I am sure there are fellas who would benefit from it; just always add the caveat. If I so decide, I could start posting calls here. Cheers!

@all, successful traders don't go bragging about the size of accounts they manage or what they make out of it. Money management is key!

I told you I have. If you have established control over your trading/if you have found how to make your account grow, you will no longer care what other traders say.

Set out on your own if you can still pay the price. In fx trading, no strategy is better than patience.

@Odiaero, where is this coming from? Did I ask anybody for statement?? I don't care a bit how anybody trades, so I think your post was misdirected.

Hi folks, for position trading, Buy USD/CAD @ 1.0261, TP1 @ 1.0337. Am placing my stop @ 1.0147 which is the low of the previous candle; based on my account size and lot size. Once it hits our target, you may either close your trade or move your stop to lock in your profits. Please use good money management and try it out on your demo.
Good luck.
I would rather sell this pair than buy it. You trade with Risk:Reward ratio of 2:1? I don't know who has survived like that undecided

Again, with a 76pip potential gain, you cannot call that position trading - position traders go for hundreds of pips.

@Keni, still looking for strategy?

Gentlemen, do you know that:

1.  In MT4 platforms, the brokers flag (zero on you) your account and trade directly against you? that is why when you put a StopLoss, most of the time, your opponent will pick it first before moving in the direction of the main trend. Let  me tell you one funny thing. When I did not know about this, I was always fuming that why should they pick my SL every time? That the broker was doing me ojoro grin  grin. So, know it now!

2.  In ECN (Electronic Communication Network), the broker matches you against an unknown trader (opponent) to trade against you? If the person is better than you, he will wack you money and if you are better, you will gain more pips grin  grin.

Finally,  Forex trading is  a zero sum game, that is, the gain of one trader is the loss of the other (opposing) trader and vice versa.
So, if you know the above, you will be more composed in your trading. You will not be pursuing every candle or minor trends but take a decisive action to follow the main trend.

Good day and happy trading. cool
I don't know where you pulled this from but I am afraid you are wrong. With even most STP brokers, nobody picks any position against you or try to move prices against you. It is common for newbies to think that the brokers are moving prices to hit their SL. The only thing your broker can do if you get involved with dubious ones is for them to increase their spread when the price gets close to your entry. There is nothing they can do as per price movement as they are all connected to the same servers.

So you think a 'pro' is always trading against you each time you enter a trade? undecided huh ROFLMAO

Most brokers allow you to demo trade so you can actually investigate and compare prices from your broker. You will see that the only difference is spread. I have personally taken time to investigate this when I started and found it to be baseless. I agree that forex is a zero-sum game but if you get it right, you will see that your TP will be hit more than your SL.

Respect.

toluloa:
hmmm, I checked the 2001 Camry owners manual online and the pictorial view implies that its at the side/front of the engine. All I found was at the side and front was a small black rectangular plate with the VIN engraved on it and this matched the VIN on the body of the car.

So what do I do now?
It is not written on any plate; it is engraved lightly on the engine. It is on the end of the engine block immediately above the transmission, and is written facing the transmission itself. Above it is the top cylinder. Just like you must have read, the i-4 and v6 engines have different unique prefixes to serve as a guide when you find it. If you can find where the engine block attaches to the transmission, you are there!

AutosRe: Where Is The Engine Number For A 2001 Camry Located? by Kashif(m): 10:45am On Jul 14, 2010
This is very tough to locate. You have to disconnect the top water hose, and one or two other things before you can be able to locate it on the engine block, towards the left of the car. The day I day I got mine, a mechanic was involved. We used chalk, mirror etc because the engraving is not usually deep so you strain and strain to read it grin angry

But seriously, if you write anything as your engine number, police will not be able to disprove it because without tools and info, they can't reach it. I don't know why toyota has to hide it.

If you have your car manual, it points to the location.

Bro, trust me, ever since then i don't trade with sl, then i use to wonder whether the broker was targeting my SL or not because almost all my sl was hit whenever i set sl and tp never hit, but now, i think scalping is the best, just watch, read my system, get the trend, once its confirmed, i enter and then set sl at +15.
The emboldened part kind of contradicts. It takes a lot of wits to scalp the market now, especially for those who wait for confirmation. Anyway, depends on your system sha.

Anytime I try to scalp, my account starts to head south. undecided

I was once a scalper until i crashed my first account thanks to bad internet, i entered a trade with 20% of my equity aiming for 15 pips without sl, got disconnected, my internet failed to connect for the whole day, i kept looking for where to get access to internet, when i finally did, my pos was already in -209, Account CRASHHEEDDDDDDDDD. took me 1 month to get my senses back. embarassed cry sad
Hmmmm! Please please dont trade without SL, not matter how many times it was hit and the trend reversed shortly afterwards. The last 10 SLs I used were hit and the market went back to the original direction. That will never deter me from using SL; this is because I have been burned severely before. I have lost 420pips before, on a standard account, and many other hundreds. (thanks to money management). If not for the fact that I manage to get some profitable trades, I would have been out on a second account reload. As a matter of fact, as soon as I place a trade, I put in my SL.

I have never experienced internet failure but I know it could be very disastrous for a trader who does not use SL. Hope you've learned your lesson.

It is a journey.

For the newbies, if you wanna last trading fx, learn from others' experiences or pay dearly. Only those who persevere long enough to weed out the chaff survive. You need experience, which money cannot buy.
