Thank you my sister for this. The problem with us in this part of the world is that we have been wired mentally that only scrupulous means can bring us wealth in millions. It boils down to what you do with your spare time. Meanwhile I will like to be the PA of that your lecturer. Onyiridike: ABSOLUTELY POSSIBLE for a lecturer who is science inclined.
Let me use one of my lecturers as an example:
1. He is a senior professor at the age of 55 years and earns over 5million salary annually after tax and other deductions.
2. He is a visiting lecturer to 5 other universities where he earns N150,000 * 5 = N750,000 monthly and 9 million annually.
3. He is a renowed international researcher. Through him, the university won over $250,000,000 research grant and I am sure he is the leading researcher and would earn nothing less than $2,000,000 from the research.
3. He won a prize worths ¥3000,000 from the research he conducted in Japan.
4. He earn bogus allowances by lecturing and supervising PhD students.
5. He is the dean of the faculty and that will earn him more allowances. Also, the faculty bought him a brand new car and fuels it.
6. He is the chairman of a research institute in the university which earns him more allowances.
7. He won a national merit award with a cash prize of N10,000,000.
8. He won an international award in USA with a cash prize of $10,000,000
9. He partners with WHO in developing DNA vaccines and he is earning huge amount from his services.
SUMMARY
He is a legitimate billionaire already even before retirement. And remember he is entitled to N49,000,000 gratuity and pension for life when he retires.
NOTE: If you are good at what you are doing, money will chase you. Some teachers who can write quality textbooks are billionaires. |
Career › Re: Can A Civil Servant Be A Billionaire While In Service? by Kazrem(m): 10:47am On Apr 16, 2016 |
anonimi: Do the civil service RULES allow you to work in a business even after office hours? If NOT, then the civil servant you came across is doing something ILLEGAL for which he should be SACKED. SIMPLE. My is a civil servant. She said one can do Biz after office hour. anonimi: Thanks. www.nairaland.com/attachments/2881064_23015862301371mrbeaninotellupng25c4955d40e3462_png058f85876085f9171ace8711304fe9b0 masterchi: as a civil servant for the past 3 years, my experience and observation is that the civil service is structured such that any civil servant that wants to be a millionaire must get involved in illegal stuff or break civil service rules. Bro it's a big fat lie. While I won't argue that people get involve in illegal act in civil service, the truth is that one can be a millionaire while in service, though very rare. I have a handful of examples and don't tell me do I know them well because I do well. |
Career › Re: Can A Civil Servant Be A Billionaire While In Service? by Kazrem(m): 10:36am On Apr 16, 2016 |
Op, billionaire while in service, NO. Billionaire no be small pikin matter. Millionaire, it's not impossible.
I just asked my wife, who is a civil servant and she said "yes" like 4 times.
Now I personally know someone who is a civil servant and she is a millionaire. I know her very well, very close to her. She does not engage in magomago. She is business privy.
The factors that determine if one while in service will a millionaire or not are but not limited to; 1. Early or late entry into service. 2. Your level at entry 3. Of course, expenses 4. And most importantly, what you do with your spare time.
That being said, if there hasn't been any millionaire civil servant, become one. That's the spirit and the right attitude. NobleAky |

3. The agreement will allow Nigerian who imports mainly from China conclude their transactions in the Chinese currency instead of the dollar
@the bolded, won't that lead to super dumping of locally made products? Already there is huge cheaper Chinese products in the country which Nigerians prefer to local products, now with this kind of treaty, will there not be a complete refusal to local products. Remember Nigerians prefer cheaper goods. More so we say we want to diversify our economy.

Yomieluv: is it too latr to defer now,and not writing the defer letter, will it affect her result this semester, asin will it be seen as carry over I don't think she can still write deferment letter because some people have started exam. She can give it a trial anyway. Let her go to her study centre for that. If she couldn't, it won't affect her result and it is not carry over as long as she won't won't sit for them. As said earlier, she will only do them next semester like her normal semester not like carry over. |
