Christianity EtcRe: Jesus Christ Is Melchizedec In The Old Testament by Kei144(m): 7:47am On Dec 24, 2013
Re. 4:4 Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads.

Melchizedek is one of the 24 elders of Rev 4:4. These elders are Adams. The first Adam sinned. These other Adams did not sin. Jesus is the last Adam; He carried the responsibility of redeeming the first Adam.

Re. 5:6 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the centre of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits [Or the sevenfold Spirit] of God sent out into all the earth.
Re. 5:7 He came and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne.
Re. 5:8 And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
Re. 5:9 And they sang a new song: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.
Re. 5:10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”

God (Him who sits on the throne--Rev 5:7) exalted Jesus to the highest place (Phillipians 2:9) because of His work of redemption. That is why the 24 elders, who are like Him, should bow to Him.

The problem is that right now no person is qualified to ascend to heaven. First of all, Jesus must perfect the saints by washing them with water by the word (Eph 5:26). Then, Jesus will rapture to Himself some perfect Christians (Eph 5:27). Those perfect Christians are not in the world today. It will take a 3½-year ministry of the 144,000 Israelites during the first 3½ years of the end-time tribulations for the saints (the wise virgins of Mt 25) to be made perfect. End-time tribulations will start in April 2014. Rapture is likely to take place towards the end of 2017.

The Road that leads to eternal life

Ep. 4:22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;
Ep. 4:23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds;
Ep. 4:24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

True Christianity does not admit the old man with its corrupt and deceitful desires. Therefore, the born again Christian needs to put off the old self. Since true Christianity only admits the new man that is created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness, the born again Christian must put on the new self.

Ga. 5:19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;
Ga. 5:20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions
Ga. 5:21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Ga. 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Ga. 5:23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Ga. 5:24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.
Ga. 5:25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Ga. 5:26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Zec. 4:6 So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.
Zec. 4:7 “What [Or Who] are you, O mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’”

Ro. 8:13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live,

Putting off the old self and putting on the new self can only be done through the Holy Spirit.

The gate

Mk. 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Mk. 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Ac. 2:36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
Ac. 2:37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”
Ac. 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The gate into Christianity is water baptism. In the churches of today, there are various ways by which people become born again, but the truth is that being born again begins with water baptism. However, it is not every kind of water baptism that makes a person born again. The gate is very narrow. In Mk 16:16, Jesus says "Whoever believes and is baptized", after saying "preach the good news". So, only a person who knows the good news is qualified to be baptized. In Acts 2:38, Peter said, "Repent and be baptized". What else provokes repentance in a person if not knowledge of the good news?

Apart from qualification for baptism, what about how the water baptism is administered? Since the gate is narrow, it is not every kind of water baptism that is admissible. Christianity has Jewish origin. In order to determine the correct method of water baptism, one must go back to Jewish baptism during the time of Jesus' earthly ministry. Gentiles do not have the authority to invent their own methods of water baptism.

http://www.keyway.ca/htm2003/20031106.htm

Jn. 3:5 Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no-one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.

Lk. 11:13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Jesus says that being born again requires both water and Holy Spirit baptism. Therefore, having been baptized in water, a person needs to pray for God to give him/her the Holy Spirit. It is receiving the Holy Spirit that makes a person really born again.

Mt. 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
Mt. 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

There are different doctrines and practices in Christianity of today. It is very clear that not all these doctrines and practices are true. Jesus clearly says that the gate into Christianity is narrow and that true Christian way of life is also narrow. "Narrow" here means being clearly defined and limited, so that not everything goes.

In this thread, we want to find out what true Christianity entails. What is the gate to true Christianity? And what is the way of true Christianity?

Ep. 4:11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,
Ep. 4:12 to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up
Ep. 4:13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fulness of Christ.
Ep. 4:14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.
Ep. 4:15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.

True Christianity should enable those involved to attain to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ; that is, to become like Jesus Christ. Do we see that happening today?
PoliticsRe: Iyabo Obasanjo's Letter To Her Father by Kei144(m): 8:31am On Dec 18, 2013
Iyabo is a very wise lady. In his letter to Jonathan, Obasanjo wrote that he is not afraid to die. He considers that after all he is already an old man and he has enjoyed maximally much of his years on earth; so, even if he is killed now, he doesn't have much to lose. The big problem however, is that if there is any coup against Jonathan, Obasanjo will be seen as one of the people that provoked the coup. Some people could target some revenge action against Obasanjo's children. Iyabo is wise enough to know this, and that is why she has to wash her hands and that of her siblings off Obasanjo's actions, publicly. That is why she cited the assassination attempt against her, which led to the death of five people. As for those who think that she is doing this to curry Jonathan's favor, she clearly indicated in the letter that she is finished with Nigerian politics. In fact, in the letter, she completely disconnected herself and her siblings from Nigeria and from Obasanjo (by saying that this is her last letter to him).

Obasanjo is really reckless. He certainly doesn't care a hoot about his children. Kudos to Iyabo for acting to save herself and her siblings from the consequences of Obasanjo's actions.

If you have ever lived in Southern Africa, you will not be surprised at all. Southern Africans are ingrates. It is not in their culture to be grateful at all. If you are giving them help, right there where you are helping them, they begin to ask for more; they will never appreciate what they have already received. Once you come to the end of helping them, they could treat you like an enemy. That is why non-Africans hate them so much. Unfortunately, non-Africans who are used to them think that all Africans are like them.

Some Old Testament promises of God to Israel will be fulfilled during the end time. When the end time starts, Jews scattered around the world will suddenly become very prominent. That is why Igbo Jewishness is becoming a popular topic, not only on NL, but even on CNN. Igbo Jews will be especially prominent during the end time because they will be key players in the end time gospel revival. Igbos are the Jews of Zeph 3:10. All the trouble that igbos have gone through in recent years, from the pogrom all over Nigeria to the Biafran war to the way they are treated in Nigeria up till today, were meant to prepare them for the great role they will play during the end time. Any people that will play such a important role is an automatic target of the kingdom of darkness.

Je. 43:1 When Jeremiah finished telling the people all the words of the LORD their God — everything the LORD had sent him to tell them —
Je. 43:2 Azariah son of Hoshaiah and Johanan son of Kareah and all the arrogant men said to Jeremiah, “You are lying! The LORD our God has not sent you to say, ‘You must not go to Egypt to settle there.’
Je. 43:3 But Baruch son of Neriah is inciting you against us to hand us over to the Babylonians, [Or Chaldeans] so that they may kill us or carry us into exile to Babylon.”
Je. 43:4 So Johanan son of Kareah and all the army officers and all the people disobeyed the LORD’s command to stay in the land of Judah.
Je. 43:5 Instead, Johanan son of Kareah and all the army officers led away all the remnant of Judah who had come back to live in the land of Judah from all the nations where they had been scattered.
Je. 43:6 They also led away all the men, women and children and the king’s daughters whom Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard had left with Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet and Baruch son of Neriah.
Je. 43:7 So they entered Egypt in disobedience to the LORD and went as far as Tahpanhes.

De. 28:36 The LORD will drive you and the king you set over you to a nation unknown to you or your fathers. There you will worship other gods, gods of wood and stone.
De. 28:37 You will become a thing of horror and an object of scorn and ridicule to all the nations where the LORD will drive you.

It is not every Igbo that is Jew. The Igbo villages or towns that are Jews practice ancient Jewish culture. Even though much of that culture has been greatly influenced by modernism, some aspects of it still exist. Ancient Jewish culture is practiced in most of Anambra State. For example, the native lunar calendar is actually the biblical calendar. Igbo Jews will be especially noticed by the whole world from 2014, when the 144,000 Israelites are sealed and they begin their end-time gospel ministry.

Christianity EtcRe: ONLY JESUS CAN SAVE, why Is That So? by Kei144(m): 6:17pm On Dec 10, 2013
Col. 1:21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of [Or minds, as shown by] your evil behaviour.
Col. 1:22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.

The human race began with a human seed—Adam. This human seed multiplied and filled the world. But the human seed and his race became God’s enemies due to bad behavior. God so much loves the human race, but He cannot get near to them because of their sins. In order to solve this problem, God had to send a new human seed into the world (an Adam). God could easily have ended the human race and begun a new one through the new Adam, but due to His love for the human race, He rather arranged for the old human race to be saved. This required that the new Adam must die for the sins of the old one. The new Adam, Jesus Christ, did exactly that. The sins of the human race have been atoned for. God can now get near to man, and vice-versa. That is the good news or the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Benefits

What benefits does reconciliation to God really offer to mankind? Is it just about the fictitious heaven and hell? Well, reconciliation to God actually brings heaven down to earth. Reconciliation to God brings us into direct contact with the Spirit of God—the hand or arm of God. Not only that, God allows us to use His hand (His Spirit) to do His will, just like wearing His hand on us and thereby greatly extend our capabilities. In fact, nothing that is in the will of God becomes impossible for us.

Unfortunately, you do not commonly see human beings enjoying these benefits; not even those who claim to be so close to God. What is the reason for this situation? The reason is simply lack of knowledge. But now the time has arrived for an explosion of divine knowledge to occur. The biblical end time has arrived.

How to Personalize Reconciliation

Mk. 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Anyone who believes the good news should present her/himself for water baptism. Baptism should not come before believing the good news. Baptism is initiation into the body of Christ. Acts 2:38 says that if baptism is done properly, God forgives the sin of the baptized and gives her/him the Holy Spirit (the hand of God). Even though we may not see any sign of forgiveness of sins or gift of the Holy Spirit, we have to believe that it has happened just as God said it should; that is what faith is all about—believing without seeing.

Even though Jesus Christ has reconciled human beings to God generally through His blood that was shed on the cross, each human being still needs to personalize the reconciliation and then personalize the benefits by wearing and using the hand (or Spirit) of God. Many human beings have already personalized the reconciliation with God, but wearing and operating of the hand of God is not commonplace at all. It will be covered in Spiritual Training 2.

“Fork in the Road”

Dec 6, 2013

I heard the phrase “ fork in the road” so started to write it down, and heard the Lord speak:

“You are all headed toward a fork in the road in this nation and in all nations. You are aware it is coming, but you may not understand how quickly this will all come about. I want you to prepare your heart, and your family’s hearts as much as possible for the struggles you might go through with hard times and yet miraculous times.

In the midst of darkness, I WILL SHINE brightly through you and you must come aside with me now. The agenda is on full speed ahead. Yet will I put a clog in the way of their plans. Keep worshipping, keep praying, keep on keeping on even when your strength seems little, lean on ME, for I will sustain you. I don’t want you to STRIVE and strive. I want for you to know My GRACE is sufficient in the darkness. Just as when I came into the world, there were many encounters that were supernatural, there will be now as well. I have already started, you just have to draw near and rest in My arms.

Lk. 23:43 Jesus answered him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.”

2Co. 12:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know — God knows.
2Co. 12:3 And I know that this man — whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows —
2Co. 12:4 was caught up to paradise. He heard inexpressible things, things that man is not permitted to tell.

Re. 1:18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

Re. 6:8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him.
They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Lk. 16:19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day.
Lk. 16:20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores
Lk. 16:21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.
Lk. 16:22 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried.
Lk. 16:23 In hell, [Greek: Hades] where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.
Lk. 16:24 So he called to him, `Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’

I have reason to think that Purgatory is the same with Paradise, where Jesus and the thief on the cross went to after they died. Paradise (or Purgatory) is a section of Hades, the holding place of spirit of the dead. These seem to be two sections of Hades; Paradise for the righteous dead and another section for the wicked.

Re. 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

It appears that no one goes from earth straight to heaven; even Jesus didn't do that. A human spirit first goes to Paradise where he is made perfect and thus qualified to eat from the tree of life. Eating from the tree of life is actually the same thing as entering heaven.

Re. 20:13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done.
Re. 20:14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.
Re. 20:15 If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Human spirits in the other section of Hades will face the great white throne judgment. It is after that final judgment that real hell fire begins. I do not yet know the details of hell fire, because it is not for me.

Re. 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm — neither hot nor cold — I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Re. 3:17 You say, `I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realise that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
Re. 3:18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so that you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so that you can cover your shameful unclothedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so that you can see.

The church in Laodicea symbolizes the churches of today; they are neither for heaven nor for the world--lukewarm. They want to go to heaven and they also want to enjoy fully in the world. They claim that they are the most successful generation of Christians that ever lived because they think they hold heaven in one hand and also the world in the other hand. But Jesus says that thhey do not realize that they are wretched, pitiful, poor and naked. Jesus goes on to say that He is about to spit them from His mouth; by this time next year, when end-time tribulations would have been underway, you will see the condition of these churches. Judgment will start in the house of God.

2Co. 5:5 Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
2Co. 5:6 Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord.

Every other human being is also a spirit being. Our earthly bodies are merely earthly tents in which the real man (the inner man) dwells. Everybody will ultimately shed off the earthly tent and be clothed with heavenly (or hellish) dwelling.

He. 2:10 In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.
He. 2:11 Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.
He. 2:12 He says, “I will declare your name to my brothers; in the presence of the congregation I will sing your praises.” [Psalm 22:22]

1Jn. 3:1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
1Jn. 3:2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, [Or when it is made known] we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
1Jn. 3:3 Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.

Jesus is my brother. He has exactly the same makeup with me. If He is God, then I will be God when He comes for the rapture. If He is man, then I will be man when He comes for rapture. Have I invented any doctrine? No! I am saying exactly what the Bible says.

jdilight: This is implying that jesus never did anything as a child or a youth because every action has two possibilities with is temptation.

jesus had a normal youth life but his documented life started at his ministry.

jesus was tempted as he was at home.

wat do u think of the cajoling his brothers gave him telling him to go the wedding, nd he told them his time has not come but their own time is always available.
If you have experienced living under the control or restraint of the Spirit, even though present human experience is not perfect, you will be able to extrapolate and imagine how it will be in a perfect situation. For example, recently I started praying Col 3:8-10 into my life before the breaking of each day. So, I go like this, "In the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I put off the old self from me by the Spirit of God. I put off from me sexual immorality, impurity, fits of rage (anger), pride, debauchery and the like by divine power through the Holy spirit. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I put on me the new self created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness, by the Spirit of God. I put on me love, peace, joy, kindness, meekness, gentleness, goodness, self control, patience, perseverance and the like by the Spirit of God." After this seemingly just speaking words, as I go through the day, I actually see myself operating in holy mood all the time. If me that has been used to sin could get the Spirit to do this in me, imagine what it is like for a person that is not used to sin and who does not need to pray for the Spirit to uphold him.

Problem is, people do not understand the meaning of grace. Let me give an illustration. The fastest human long distance runner can do 42 km in more than two hours. But you need to move a distance of 80 km along a good road in a period of 1 hour. You are not even a distance runner and even if you were, you cannot cover 80 km in one hour. So, if you were to depend on your human ability, it is an impossibility. But then a rich man who loves you gives you a gift of a brand new car that can travel at a maximum speed of 260 km/h. Now you can easily cover the 80 km road distance in one hour. However, the fact that a brand new car has been given to you does not mean that you just enter the car and it simply carries you to where you are going. You must learn how to drive that car and actually drive and control it until you reach your destination.

Ph. 2:12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed — not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence — continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,
Ph. 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

The grace of God is all about God's gift of the Holy Spirit to those who are baptized into Christ. The Spirit is just like the brand new car in the illustration above. Even though you receive the Holy Spirit, you still have to learn how to put the Spirit to use. The Spirit can do everything for you. He can make you perfect--sinless. He can abolish both sickness and death in your body. He can supply all your needs. But you are the one that must operate the Spirit. He takes you to as far as you operate Him.

2Ti. 4:1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge:
2Ti. 4:2 Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction.
2Ti. 4:3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

Some hard truths are beginning to appear in the Religion section and some people are already getting uncomfortable.

Re. 1:4 John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits [Or the sevenfold Spirit] before his throne,
Re. 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood,
Re. 1:6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father — to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.

Ro. 8:19 The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.

Jesus Christ is the firstborn from the dead; the first Son of God. Because of His work of redemption, many other sons of God will also be born from the dead--dead in sin. If there is trinity now, just because only one Son of God has been born from the dead, what terminology will you use when the sons of God described in Rev 6:9 join?

Look at 1 Jn 3:1 well enough. When John wrote this epistle, the believers knew who Jesus Christ is well enough, but the world did not know Him. Today, neither the Christians nor the world knows Jesus well enough. That is why believers do not even know that at the time of the rapture, they will be exactly like Jesus--sons of God.

1Pe. 2:4 As you come to him, the living Stone — rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him —
1Pe. 2:5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Christians are yet to understand the concept of "Christ". Christ is a house or body in which God lives. Jesus started as that house (Jn 2:18-21). But He was just a grain of Wheat that later fell to the ground, died and produced many seeds (Jn 12:24). Today, the house or body of God is built of many stones, with Jesus being the chief cornerstone. He is one with us; we are priests and He is the High Priest. We are kings and He is the king of kings. By the way, it is not the all of God that dwells in this house; it is just His arm--the Holy Spirit. There are no three persons that make up God. God is one. An arm of His is the Holy Spirit. That arm dwells in a group or body of human beings, who are sons of God.

He. 2:13 And again, “I will put my trust in him.” [Isaiah 8:17] And again he says, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.” [Isaiah 8:18]

Some people posted in another thread that there will be no end-time revival, but end-time delusion. The reality is that God could never admit ignorant and sinful Christians into heaven (see Mt 22:11-13). The Church will actually go through a process that will make her suitable for rapture to heaven. That is why Christians will pass through the first 3½ years of the end-time tribulation. During those hard years, many will fall away from the faith, because the faith will no longer be the kind of nonsense that exists today. Among those that remain in the faith, some will grow in the Spirit and be transformed to immortality just before the rapture takes place--the wise virgins; the foolish virgins will not grow enough to transform to immortality before the trumpet sounds, so they miss the rapture.

jdilight: Are you saying jesus was not tempted as every one else till he was baptized?
Yes, He was not tempted. Until He received the Holy Spirit, God gave His angels charge over Him, to protect Him. But once He received the Holy Spirit, Satan was allowed to go near Him.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Did Jesus Had To Wait For 30 Long Years by Kei144(m): 6:18am On Dec 03, 2013
Jesus was born like every normal baby. He grew up like every human being; not like God. His difference though is that He was not subjected to some normal problems that other human beings face, such as sicknesses and accidents, because He is not of the lineage of the fallen Adam; He was a new human seed, meant to form a new human race--a new Adam. Being an Adam, He knew no sin until God allowed Him to be tested.

He. 5:7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.
He. 5:8 Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered
.

Jesus' growing up was not easy though. The evil forces knew who He was and what He was in the world to do. They never missed any opportunity allowed them by God to make life hard for Him. Do you know how I learned this? God had made it clear to me that I would become a great evangelist with worldwide renown. So, I began to bask in expectation of soon glorious future. But what I saw next was endless hellish experience. Around 2 am in a night in October, 2004, I was awake on my bed pondering the hell that my life had become. Where is God in all this? Then the content of Hebrews 5:7-8, quoted above, filled my mind, and it came with a new understanding that I never had before about the life of Jesus Christ before He began His earthly ministry.

Mt. 3:5 People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region of the Jordan.
Mt. 3:6 Confessing their sins, they were baptised by him in the Jordan River.

Mt. 3:13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptised by John.
Mt. 3:14 But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptised by you, and do you come to me?”
Mt. 3:15 Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfil all righteousness.” Then John consented.
Mt. 3:16 As soon as Jesus was baptised, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of
God descending like a dove and lighting on him.
Mt. 3:17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

Jesus went to John the Baptist for baptism, just like every other godly person did in those days. It was in the process of the baptism that God begat Him as His Son. The Jews at that time had this ceremony of adoption of sons when their sons reach some right age, during which fathers give their sons their inheritance. God did same for His human Son.

Mt. 4:1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil.

It was after God had adopted Jesus as His son that the devil was now allowed to tempt Him, just as the first Adam was tempted. He performed quite unlike the first Adam. Heb 5:8 suggests that Jesus' performance in the face of temptation is due to His prior exposure to suffering. I myself am a witness to this fact. If Adam and Eve had known suffering, instead of only rosy life in the Garden of Eden, they probably would never have eaten the forbidden fruit. I pity today's Christians who want to make heaven, but who also have eye on material prosperity; the two can never go together (Mt 19:23)
