PoliticsRe: Is Ebonyi No Longer Part Of Nigeria? by kel4soft: 7:41am On Dec 31, 2013
I have lived in Port Harcourt for larger part of my life. I can count one or two Ebonyi peeps I have met. Even while in school, you rarely find them. Compare that to other SE states. Then, you know exactly what the OP is talking about.

Another State that comes to mind in South-South is Cross River to be honest. Quite out there.

Olisah Metuh has helped him refuted the statement.

Obijulius: Before displaying your shameless ignorance please go through the projects.

How do you define economic and infrastructural devt.

Chaiiii. U need help. APC brainwashed guy.
Stop insulting me and name one project aside NDDC. You can't used NDDC to justify your point. NDDC is our right under the law.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan's Projects In Rivers State,a Response To Amarchi's Lies And Propaganda by kel4soft: 3:57am On Dec 31, 2013
OP

Thanks for listing NDDC projects that is a statutory since Rivers State is one of the Niger Delta States.

Mr. Man, the Governor wasn't talking about all these projects NDDC awarded that were not even completed or even started. Come to PH, you will see several abandon NDDC projects. Even the one completed won't last up to 2months. That said, the Governor was talking about Grade A project from Federal Ministry. For example:
Bonny-Bodo Road (started by OBJ and abandon by GEJ).

You can't use NDDC projects to counter the Governors claim to be frank.

Very educative reads. Well done posters. Although, I have never thought of leaving Nigeria, I still believe whatever decision one takes is justifiable if he can strife to achieve what he wants. I would have love the British model life of been conservative.

Afam4eva: Haba, Udi Hill is far from Enugu town na. I thought you were gonna name one of the villages just s stone throw from the town.
Afam, It wasn't up to to 20minutes from Enugu town. There was a hill we took before getting to the village.
PoliticsRe: Trip To A Poor Town Of Prominent Men -pictures by kel4soft: 9:46pm On Dec 30, 2013
Afam4eva: What's the name of the village? I just hope it's not my village.
Udi, that's the name they told me.
PoliticsRe: Trip To A Poor Town Of Prominent Men -pictures by kel4soft: 9:32pm On Dec 30, 2013
Can we stop posting pictures of cities in Nigeria which is not even on par with Angola or any of our fellow OPEC member countries. We should keep posting and exposing the neglect of these villages by our political class.

There is a particular village I went to at Enugu to cover an event. Meh, it was horrible, from bad roads to lack of basic amenities. The most annoying part is that, this village is just 20minutes away from their state capital.
PoliticsRe: Trip To A Poor Town Of Prominent Men -pictures by kel4soft: 9:19pm On Dec 30, 2013
Afam4eva: It still beats me why our structure in Nigeria is still the way it is when things would have gotten better under a decentralised system whereby states and towns will have their own leadership like it is in the US. if we had Mayors running these towns, towns like otukpo won't look the way they do.
You can say that again. In as much as I hate Akpabio for other reasons, I will commend him for his road transformation in Akwa Ibom State. I take ferry from Utawa, Ikot Abasi to Opobo. I will tell you, the road networks in that village with walkways in a semi-town is something worth emulating. Even my Governor(Amaechi) tried something similar in Ogoni villages but Ikot Abasi is slightly ahead with those walkways
PoliticsRe: Trip To A Poor Town Of Prominent Men -pictures by kel4soft: 9:12pm On Dec 30, 2013
Afam4eva: I think you are right. I actually had Bonny in mind. Still can't differentiate between the two. I never had the opportunity to visit Opobo when i was living in PH.
Yes, both Ibani areas (Bonny and Opobo) with the latter above the former due to multinational companies. Lovely places to be though.
PoliticsRe: Trip To A Poor Town Of Prominent Men -pictures by kel4soft: 9:05pm On Dec 30, 2013
Afam4eva: Oil coys built your town.
You are wrong. Oil coys built Bonny not Opobo. We are one of the first civilised people in Nigeria. You remember King Jaja of Opobo? If not for the useless civil war that destroyed practically everything we had, we would have been the finest town in the whole country.

Though we have recovered and moved on, politics have really done more harm than good to us. Once united kingdom is now shredded into factions.
PoliticsRe: See What Jonathan Has Deliberately Done For Rivers State by kel4soft: 8:48pm On Dec 30, 2013
Now for your information OP. The NDDC Director is rotated among Niger Delta States.

Chibuzor who was sacked in 2011 because of corruption levelled against him. He was replaced by another Rivers indigene to complete the tenure of his predecessor since the four year tenure has not elapse. They are both from the same LGA (ONELGA)

This is another article to counter Amaechi's allegation of neglects by the Presidency. Am sorry to say, this article doesn't hold water.

OP, come back with another article. Beside, I don't think Amaechi is even concern with political appointees. He is more interested in what economic and infrastructural development the FG has done in Rivers State which I would like the OP to name one.
PoliticsRe: Trip To A Poor Town Of Prominent Men -pictures by kel4soft: 8:28pm On Dec 30, 2013
I will be posting pictures from my own constituency. That is, Opobo town.

We built our town without government.
PoliticsRe: Photos Of Patience Jonathan Billion Naira Hotel In Yenegoa by kel4soft: 8:06pm On Dec 30, 2013
mitchyy: @Papa_nnamdi,

Stealing is stealing jor. What if she used that money to get homeless people off the streets, poor kids back to school, or better still build a world class hospital with cheap healthcare services. Most of the masses would never benefit from this her project.

Dey r milking us dry
On a brighter side, the Hotel can generate employment for hundreds of jobless people in Bayelsa State. I can't criticise her for this.
PoliticsRe: Photos Of Patience Jonathan Billion Naira Hotel In Yenegoa by kel4soft: 8:00pm On Dec 30, 2013
In as much am a strong critic of both husband and wife. I don't have a problem with the Hotel since it is located in Nigeria. Just that, she should have built it in Port Harcourt. Just my thought.

PoliticsRe: Gradual Transformation Of Nigerian Infrastructure; Focus On Roads by kel4soft: 10:26pm On Dec 29, 2013
solomon111: Get out of here.
Many of the roads on this thread are federal roads built/repaired under GEJ's tenure.
GEJ has repaired and built more roads than all his precedessors.
Even ndu-chuks the known APC apologist, acknowledges GEJ's government's achievement in road infrastructure.
It's obvious ndu-chuks has more integrity than all you APC thugs combined.
Please point the FG roads the OP posted here bar Abuja on these thread.

PoliticsRe: Did President Jonathan Really Give Soku Oil Well To Bayelsa Over Rivers? by kel4soft: 3:05pm On Dec 29, 2013
@ OP

Thank you for bringing this topic. Soku is Kalabari, Rivers State not Bayelsa. If you have gone there. The boundary between them and Bayelsa is too far to cede the wells to Bayelsa. That said, don't forget the FG admitted that they made mistake in the map and that they will correct the map very soon. The arrangement was the the oil wells in contention should be put in a escrow account until after the map validation. 2009,2010, 11 and 12 funds were all channelled to that purse. What really baffles us was that these saved funds were all transfer to Bayelsa State with the endorsement of Mr. President.

PoliticsRe: The Grand Ambush: Chronicles Of President Jonathan’s Tribulations by kel4soft: 11:42pm On Dec 28, 2013
I can't believe you guys can fall for this biased article.

1. GEJ destroyed NGF for his selfish purpose
2. Used a Police commissioner to form a parallel govt in Rivers State.
3. Removed an elected PDP chairman (G.U Ake) by a kangaroo court in Abuja which doesn't have jurisdiction over a case that has already been decided by a FED High court in the state.
4. Sponsor 5 rebel lawmakers to impeach a speaker
5. Was about impeaching the Governor before NASS intervened.
6. Changed the list of PDP convention to favour his anointed candidates.
PoliticsRe: Akwa Ibom And Osun States : Population, Allocation And Unemployment Leve by kel4soft: 11:30pm On Dec 28, 2013
To be fair, Victor Atah former Governor of Akwa Ibom state set the ball rolling for the state. Whatever Akpabio has done to the state is just completion of a course started and nearly finished by Victor Atah with a lesser state allocation then. The only project Akpabio started and will complete is the stadium. The rest were all initiated and started by his predecessor. I remember those days, Victor was demolishing buildings in Uyo and paying compensations. People were whinning, now he may not have taken all the glory, but God will definitely reward him.

On the population of Uyo: the state is as scanty as an empty soup. Even Oyigbo is more populated than Uyo. Most of their indigenes are scattered everywhere in Nigeria.

On Osun, I learnt he (the Governor) went to the market for bonds. I hope he doesn't enslave the state for years. Anyway good works he has done.
