IslamRe: EX-Nigerian Footballer Emeka Ezeugo Convert To Islam. Pix by kel4soft: 5:57pm On Jan 05, 2014
I don't see an issue here. The guy converted to Islam. We thank God for that. I have seen lots of Muslims embraced Christianity. Infact one shocking one was one Akeem here in Port Harcourt, the guy told me he converted the night he ended their Ramadan fast.

Asari Dokubo's aides and boys, most of them are muslims. They weren't born muslims, they just converted. One of my relation also converted to Islam. He told me so many things about Islam. I just wish him, Goodluck.

A certain Aisha who used to live in my compound hails from Abia State. Infact, she plays Igbo gospel songs but a devout Muslim.

If as Christians, we want to start insulting and throwing tantrums on ones religion. Then, we are not different from the Boko Haram sects.

I believe God knows the religion that is genuine. If we keep fighting for religion that is the Lord's battle, then we all need a good mental hospital.
PoliticsRe: Lagos - Kano Train: 43 Hours Journey, Declining Passenger Interest by kel4soft: 1:07pm On Jan 05, 2014
awodman: Nonsense...after over 8 years and your Amaechi's monorail has not crossed Mile 1 and you are telling me its worth waiting for...like seriously?

Meanwhile who told you that Amaechi is solely using state funds for the monorail?
Amaechi solely funding the project cos the private partners pulled out citing financial meltdown. Since then, the state has been battling to finish the project alone.

Monorail started 2009 not up to 5 years Mr. And beside, do you know the cost of that project?

Please read www.nigeriaintel.com/2014/01/02/monarch-betrayed-rivers-on-oil-well-says-amaechi/

'Amaechi also described the monorail in Port
Harcourt as a noble project, stressing that in
Nigeria, Rivers was the only state that was using its own funds to construct a monorail, noting that the Lagos light train was being funded by the World Bank, but the Rivers government was using its funds to pursue the monorail project.
The NGF chairman described the monorail as a
brand new technology, stressing that there was nowhere in the world that the monorail was more than 16 kilometres, stating that the Port Harcourt’s monorail was nearing completion, with the incoming government to take it to the end of Aba Road.'

PoliticsRe: Lagos - Kano Train: 43 Hours Journey, Declining Passenger Interest by kel4soft: 12:48pm On Jan 05, 2014
Rad1cal: You Amaechi worshipper, how much has Rotimi sunk into his monorail and what is the percentage of completion. ?
Is only an idiot like you who doesn't know Monorail is an expensive project that should be done with Private partnership. Whereas Amaechi is solely constructing monorail with state funds. Whether it takes till 2015 to complete that section, It is worth waiting for than to sink money on locomotive trains you can't even patronise.
Countries with fast speed trains didn't achieve that feature in 6years despite partnership from private firm. Infact, I better worship Amaechi than your clueless Boss.

PoliticsRe: Lagos - Kano Train: 43 Hours Journey, Declining Passenger Interest by kel4soft: 12:16pm On Jan 05, 2014
Only a fool will use the transformation of Locomotive trains in the 21st century as an achievement. When countries have moved on or phased out that type of trains.

Now, rewind to Rivers State, a certain state Governor invested close to 12billion naira on revamping our train station in 2002 (Oyigbo - Station). That exercise didn't last upto 24 months. It was like money thrown inside an ocean.

If our govt is not ready to construct light rail, monorail, underground train etc. Then, they should forget disturbing my ears with rubbish locomotive trains that you can't maintain cos their parts aren't in the market.

How did GEJ construct Onitsha-Owerri road? That road was completed since 2007.

Please note that any project name PH-wherever does not exist in PH or Rivers State.
PoliticsRe: FG To Pay Youths Of The Niger Delta States Via Sterling Bank. by kel4soft: 8:49pm On Jan 03, 2014
This money could be put into use for something better. It can take Bonny-Bodo road (awarded and started by OBJ but, abandoned since he took over office) to near complete state.

Just saying, don't know the essence of the money, NDDC can't deliver on quality job because of lack of funds etc. And we have PDP sharing money unnecessary. This money, is it gonna be paid consistently? Or just...

PoliticsRe: Amaechi's Kinsmen Reels Out Jonathan's Developmental Projects In Rivers State by kel4soft: 3:48pm On Jan 03, 2014
I am not going to join issues with some people here on Nairaland. This is my humble take.
So the University of Port Harcourt took it upon it self to establish a Law Faculty. The construction of that building that has not even gone to an appreciatable level is now an achievement of GEJ to Rivers State when the school not NDDC are the ones embarking on the project. So what will Amaechi now say, for those of you who are Alumni or still students of UNIPORT, Amaechi constructed and equipped the Department of English (a.k.a English House) though known as Ken Saro wiwa House. He single handedly built it while he was a Speaker. That building is even better than most Faculty structures in UNIPORT.

Even GEJ department of Animal and Environmental Biology formerly known as Zoology he awarded since last year is still on the foundation level.

2. PH-Enugu road: That road was awarded late last year. One wonders, when awarding a project is the same thing as completing a project. When they even stated there, that the 90BN naira needed will be sourced. And as I am talking to you. The road which runs into Oyigbo-Eleme junction is a death trapped.

3. NDDC has been constructing Elele road almost six years now without progress.

4. East-West: I will say the Federal Government has shown commitment to that road after the fracas between Amaechi and Orubebe.

All these fight about PDP and APC members. The question I have for you folks are:

1. Are you a card carried member of the party you claim you support or you are in sympathy with?

2. Do you know the manifesto of these parties?

3. How many of you know your Party Ward chairman to register yourselves?

4. If you are a card carrying member, have you paid your dues or do you even pay at all?

5. Do you party chieftains care about her members?

6. How has the grassroot support in your Local Government benefited from your party irrespective if they are the ruling or opposition.

PoliticsRe: Monarch Betrayed Rivers On Oil Well, Says Amaechi by kel4soft: 8:19am On Jan 02, 2014
utumunta: Very very funny. Amaechi is a governor today by virtue of the decision of the court of law. Amaechi wields power as the governor of Rivers state, over those better than him, by the provisions of the constitution which empowers and recognises him as such.

Did Amaechi regain his position as PDP's flagbearer by engaging the late president Yar'adua in name calling and puny verbal attacks against his person and office?

Why has Amaechi refused to approach the courts to resolve this imbroglio as he did when he was denied his ticket by his new master, OBJ, in 2007 ? If there is a subsisting court judgement on this matter, why has Amaechi refused to accept such judgement, same way he and Omehia accepted the judgement that restored his mandate to him ?

Amaechi, the more you talk, the less sense you make. You are already showing your lack of respect for constituted authority by declaring you'd support a PDP president( even as an APC man) if he meets your conditions. This is a slight on your party officials and questions your loyalty to your new party. This is the samething that sent you out of the PDP.

I guess a leopard barely changes it's spots.
I also believe Late. Yaradua did not victimised or harass him. He stayed neutral and allow rule of law to take place. You can't deny dissolving Obio/Akpor council has long over due that's if you look at it on principles. How come, all state projects carry out in Port Harcourt are in Obio/Akpor most internal roads that was supposed to be constructed by this chairman has been ignored. The Governor actually does everything in Obio/Akpor while Nsirim and Wike shares the monthly receipt at the detriment of infra structural development. With the money Obio-Akpor council has (been the riches LGA after Apapa), they should be competing with the state on project but the revised is the case.
On the legality of dis solving the council, he has a right by the state laws as a Governor to dissolve a council as clueless as Nsirim and his cronies.

I wish to also say here that the Governor might be arrogant and controversial most times, but his revelation has helped one way or the other in the state.

Clonus: I love this man. However, Gov pls do more & talkless. U r making news too much these days.
Exactly my point. I listened the programmer yesterday. OP, if you are the one that covered it, you did an excellent job. Where he challenged his opponents on naming any corrupt practice he has committed or mansion, personal properties he has acquired since he entered politics got me gazing.
Anyway, he should stop joining issues with the FG and just see out his tenure. We all know, if he hasn't quarrel with MND, east-west road would have been a mirage.

I am not against him tolling Trans-Amadi road but only at an affordable price because of the hardship in PH.

I will also like HE, to ensure justice is done on that RCC staff that got killed by a soldier attach to their 'white man'

Finally, should forget about a successor, God will certainly give us one. Whether in his camp or in Presidency's own. Dictating who succeed you doesn't actually results to an achievement.

taharqa: I think you sld be careful of what you say or how you make assertions in public. You remember how you were fooolishly arguing on that thread on the East-West Road, right? Do you remember what your main line of argument on that thread was (the main reason I called it fooolish)? Am sure you do remember how you recanted about 2 weeks later.

Now, let me make my own assertions:
--- The PH-Maiduguri Rail Route is undergoing complete rehabilitation in sections by 3 diff companies with some like the Enugu-PH subsection almost done, whilst the Kuru-Maiduguri Section has sm challenges , namely Security.

--- The main challenges along the Enugu-PH route HAVE BEEN SOLVED; as already trial/duty trains have started to run tru said route.
If the Honourable minister has said that the Maiduguri-PH rail line is still undergoing work. You wouldn't have seen my post. But, I got angry when he said, the project is almost complete and I find that insulting to the people of Rivers State.

Note something, I never responded the honourable minister claim on other projects accross the country cos I am not on ground to verify his claims. I am more interested on what is going on in my domain. If you go through my threads, I applauded them for the pace of work going at East-West road. I don't join issues, just to join the bandwagon. Go through my threads and comments. You will see I have been balance. I am more interested with benefits my state gets from every angle.

You don't know how I tackle my state Government on twitter, facebook, forums and so on. Strictly on development in my state.

Sometimes I pay my personal transport to ascertain if our commissioner of works is on point on some of his press releases. I have also taken my time to visit some projects going on in my state going as far as asking the contractors questions. There was a particular time I visit a certain bridge going on around my neighbourhood every sunday to see the progress of work. And if am not satisfy, I quickly send my complains to them.

Even though I have never criticised Amaechi here doesn't mean I don't agree on some issues levelled against him. But, I try my best in clarifying where necessary and leave the rest for posterity to judge.

Am not mincing words. It is a dump site. From Oyigbo - Eleme - Elelenwo - Woji - Oginigba - Elekaiah - D-Line - Diobu - Station Bustop. No visible work going on there. The above places are areas the lines cut through to the end of the station. I challenged anyone residing in PH to prove me wrong.

Apart from the Monorail construction going on close to the station axis, the rest lines have been taken over by weeds and rabies. Sometimes, I ask my self if truly this our leaders think we are fools. How can a minister come to the air and blasphame on a project that is in his dream.

Maiduguri-PH won't be complete anytime soon from what is on ground cos there is nothing that suggest the opposite of my take.

How can train move on a rail that is bad. Not that am trying to play the devils advocate. But, am telling you what is on ground. Train has not move on this rail for years cos the lines are bad and even shanties have been built along the lines. Those places Train can't move cos no line for you to understand.

Yesterday I was at Mile 1 park, under the flyover you have the railway. Traders were selling on the lines. Nothing suggest work is about starting anywhere near PH. Except Monorail anyway.

Please I will be happy if this was true. I live close to railway at Woji and is just a throw stone to Elelenwo. Bush has covered the rail. Infact as am talking to you that area you mentioned is a slum (close to the rail). No work is visible there. Train moved last since 2003. So I don't know where your friend heard movement of train.

If you argue with me. Am going to that area later today. I will take pictures and prove to you. No work has been done on any train road in PH. And I when I say PH, am including Oyigbo axis also.
