I had wanted to ignore this post, but on a second thought I said no. I know how disappointing it is for a Civil Servant to pay his fare to work only to be told there is no work (I.e Today, Monday). That said, Our President Postpone his budget presentation indefinitely and this is happening for the first time since our return to democracy. Your premise to judge Gov. Amaechi a confused one is daft and your heading is misleading. Your Obio/Akpor citing was also wrong cos after this friday, the court will still resume. On the Pupils been affected by the holidays, I think the first question you should ask is. Who are the people that are to participate in the Cetenary? If Amaechi is a confused Governor for hosting and given 7days public holiday for his Civil Servants, then former Governor of Cross Rivers State is the bigger one for given 30days when Calabar celebrated their moment. We don't even know how many days GEJ will give next year when Nigeria celebrate her 100years. Going by the big investment of 64bn city gate of Abuja and Centenary village. Expect more Holidays next year. |
Since they have been sold off. Am asking, if is the still legal to pay bills. Cos they came to my street today to disconnect lines of defaulters. |

UcLloyd: WE IMOLITES Congratulate Our Anambra Brothers! APGA Victory is For Ndigbo! We Urge U Brothers 2 Pray For IMO State, As We Plot 2 Ouster APC n Owelle Come 2015! Ibos Unite, Igbo Kwenu!Because he is not a good Governor or he is in APC? |
PDP were never interested in the Anambra election in the first place. They only wanted APC not to win . So congratulating APGA and Nwoye criticising INEC is another episode that will go on for a while. |
Nwoye is thinking otherwise, he has joined forces with Ngige and Obiano to reject the results. I don't know if Nwoye didn't knew he was used by PDP to destablized APC. |
Without money, you can't spice up your relationship. Just don't bother entering one until you are ok. |
It took me eternity in my own case. |
Pukkah: It is not all Nigerians that are clowns.I dare Jonathan to come out transparent. They are yet to explain 500bn Naira the senate has accused same Govt of. What you will see is name calling or Police will resume intimidation on him. Or Gulak will dismiss the allegation without addressing the hefty allegation. I don't doubt this allegation. Cos the last time I remember, only $1bn has been withdrawn from the ECA since January. |
drnoel: how did this nicompu know, ishe now our finance minister? He knows because his state money is inside that ECA. The Minister of State for finance also confirms it. Infact GEJ gave the last approval of $1bn deduction which brought it to approximately $4bn www.punchng.com/news/revenue-crisis-fg-withdraws-1bn-from-eca/ The question, if $9bn was in the excess crude account as of January, what happens to the $5bn in between, that is what Amaechi is asking. |
israel007: I don't believe anything that comes out of the mouth of this confused.comHe is confused cos he is not licking Jona dirt ass? |
adconline: One of the heavily indebted governors talking about accountability, I'd be skeptical. Please can you provide a source for this allegation? Meanwhile FG debts makes up 72% of the country's debts. And $5bn is missing from our ECA where his state money is in. When he complains, you are talking about his state debt without prove. I need a source to back your claim. Another question, $5bn out of the ECA is not a problem to you, provided is Jona and Co that took it right? I hope this helps you out on how you think Rivers is the leading indebted State. ekwere007live.com/debt-profile-of-states-in-nigeria-lagos-top-the-list/ |

Pukkah: Ok, let's for a moment agree that Amaechi is what you've painted him to be but shouldn't you and every right-thinking/patriotic Nigerian be outraged at his allegation? Some comments here are very disheartening. Until Jona send us into Greece level. |
Imagine, amaechi needs $200million loan to supply water? Supply to who? Is water the problem of rivers state?
You think Port Harcourt is the only place Rivers State? Have you gone into the creeks and see how difficult it is to get portable and clean water? Degema, Andoni, Akuku Toru, Asari Toru, Opobo/Nkoro, Bonny, Ogu/Bolo and Okrika are all riverine LGAs. Because of its low water table, getting drinking water by bore holes is extremely difficult. They are confine to sachet water. Even the community water provided by their LGAs is not drinkable. Do you know how expensive it is to convert tanks of salt water to drinking water? If the FG feels $200m loan is too expensive. Why not they send the Federal Ministry of Water resources to go and build those tanks for the communities. This is why am advocating for true federalism. Let's stop this feeding bottle system. |
Goddex: Ameachi is just eager to make headline news. You have not explain how the $5bn disappeared in your masters custody. |
I agree with the OP on this thread. I actually told my Dad something close to this topic. I think Amaechi noise on the east-west road made Orubebe to sit up. Even the recent accusation of abandoning of the remodelling of PH Intl Airport by the same Amaechi also made NCAA and FAAN for the first time visit the Airport to see things for themselves. And work has fully commenced full time. Do you know the attention given to Rivers axis of the east-west road is not the same given to Bayelsa who rub his belly. |
You can actually walk in or visit Rivers State Government House anytime you feel like. Is open to everybody |
noblezone: You don't understand the case,Give yourself hope. And please extend it to your fellow GDI followers. You don't even know exactly while the case is in supreme court in the first place. How do you know APC will not win in Rivers if Amaechi defect? Mind you, that is not the only political party in this country and the last time I checked floating of political party has not ended. If you believe Amaechi has no followers, then goodluck. Let it be known to you that GEJ cannot replace Amaechi now or 2015. Because we will resist a puppet as Governor. Only Rivers people will determine who leads them and that will be done at our different polling booths. Gone are the days of PDP carry go. LGA election next year will be an eye opener for people like you. And need I remind you. Omehia cannot replace Amaechi cos Rivers South-East are not slave to people like you and Nyesom Wike. Now on the case proper, Have you seen the ruling given today? The hearing of the suit filed by Omehia to join the case at the lower court. The hearing has not even started. The 7th February judgement is to determine if the Appeal Court will go ahead with the hearing that is yet to begin. And as for Omehia, he is not part of the suit again as declared by SC. |

Desric: GDI? That's Gragra Development Iniative. All their things will end in Gragra as usual. |
Desric: GDI? That's Gragra Development Iniative. All their things will end in Gragra as usual. One of their Chieftain actually claim on 15th of October that, Amaechi just have 30days in Government house. Still waiting for their new Governor. Maybe they will have factional Governor as usual. |
Today was supposed to be the ruling the almighty-case against Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Executive Governor of Rivers State at the Supreme Court. GDI members, please can I know where the swearing in of Omehia is taking place? And after party please. I promise not to invite anyone else to cause drink and food shortages. Thanks and God bless. #DancingPH1stSon

Maybe no road to divert traffic in Lagos when Patience went visiting that cost so much traffic jam for nearly 18hours. |
atlwireles: If all you know is Warri/Sapele road, then you don't know Warri. Please give me another route to GRA from PTI junction coming from Airport road. I beg to know. |
atlwireles: No traffic jam, has more to do with roads being available for redirection of traffic. Something Portharcourt does not have.Whose fault? Anyway apart from Warri/Sapele road. Which other major road do you have in Warri? Anyway that's not the point. Do you know with low entourage traffic jam can be minimal in PH visit. After all I didn't see soldiers blocking a full section of road for President wife's visit like we witness in PH. If you drive from east-west road (section completed anyway) entering to Warri thay leads you Pastor Ayo's church at GRA. Can you give me another route you can take if not that same Warri/Sapele road. My point is that is not about the network of roads is the modesty he came that impresses me. By the way, when the President wife came to D/Line in PH. Rumuola, Artilery and major roads including Ikwerre were block. So you are implying Warri have more major roads traffic can be diverted than PH. I don't think you know Warri |
Hoping to see what Mr. Mbu's reaction when GDI members welcome their grand patron Wike. |

eezor: The rivers people and ken saro wiwa was fighting against any form of injustices or oppressions no matter the circumstances they find themselves. It could b eastern regional govt, it could b nigeria military, it could b any. Dats rivers man for u.Exactly my brother we fight injustice. We don't care who plays along with us. GEJ took Kula oil wells to Nembe and our number 1 said no way! |
Why he didn't honour Amaechi's invitation is mind blowing. Port Harcourt Centenary celebration where he grew up and was made. He rejected the invitation because of political difference. I don't know what the reaction would have been if Amaechi has boycotted the burial ceremony at Okrika. I was at Warri when he came. It was kind of modest visit. I hope his wife will learn one or two things from him. No traffic jam at all. |
