atlwireles: Why are you wasting your time with this crowd. The east west road will be ready next year, no amount of nairaland nonsense will change that fact. You have to understand, some people hate good news in other parts of Nigeria. They will do all things possible to keep things the same. You know the truth, most people in the southsouth know the truth, allow them with their uncountable monikers knock themselves out.If the east-west road is completed next year. I will be glad to eat my humbly pie. But, as things stand, 2015 will be too far for that road to be completed. I will take pictures of the road from Uniport-Ughelli which I will post here. |
Am on my way to Warri from PH and Uniport and same "nearly completed east-west" has kept me at Uniport junction for almost 50minutes, just a 30secs drive from Choba gate. |
hollandis: Wetin this one dey talk? Dem tell you say na by teacher or sympathy dem dey use dey win election ,amaechi has daftly and stupidly dug is political grave .Yoruba sef wan chop oil money ,dem never know anything ,the nearest apc can get to south south is edo state ,dem no fit reach south-souuth,na who born the maga? So, what is your point? Rig election? I thought election is by number. People like you are one of Nigeria serious problem. |
Afam4eva: It's obvious that Amaechi is a very good footballer. Messi and Rinaldo have nothing on him. I think there's something he's trying to get from Jonathan and the PDP and is trying to use the APC to get it. I don't think he's really interested in leaving PDP.People that liked your comment are ignorant like you. In Rivers State, Amaechi has the highest sympathy. I was actually at the Government house that day, it was like a carnival, people trooped in, I was really scared of the crowd. The newly recruited teachers came out, the parents who their children are benefiting from his local and overseas scholarships all came out to stand by him. Rivleaf groups. Amaechi does not throw out money, so you won't say the crowd were motivated because of money. As long as Rivers State is concern. The Governor has a strong case. So, when your likes are deceived by Nyesom Wike and his GDI colleagues. I just laugh. If Amaechi still calls on us anyday, you will see triple of that crowd that came out to welcome the APC leaders. How can you say a Governor that stopped selling scholarship for only the elites in the state. Who has rescued so many poor families by sending their children abroad on merit to study. Built secondary schools that looks like Univerities and employed Indians as teachers with over 1000 Rivers students in each school all on scholarships. Is there any development that is greater than education? True Rivers people are watching. He has our support anytime. Let them keep deceiving the President, our leader Amaechi, wherever he goes, true rivers people go. I don't care if he decamps to APC, after all PDP is just a name. Same with APC. Ever since Amaechi became Governor, PDP has never been comfortable with him. Who are even the opposition in Rivers? Odili? Nwuche? Wike? Anybody that takes the latter serious need a psychiatric test. Need, I remind some people here that during the 2011 election, there was a big bill board at Garrison inscribed "Is Amaechi more popular than PDP? Some of these so called PDP chieftains at Abuja just believed every lies Wike tells them without verifying. That is how one from south-west claim Amaechi has abandon a monorail project that is still on course. And he was practically serious on STV. We can't ask of more energetic leader than him, he grew up in diobu and knows exactly what our elites has deprive our people for years. |
A trip throughout the east-west road wouldn't be bad to confirm this story. I still maintain, they are not doing enough to complete this road. How can it take 1 full year to complete just one lane of earth work, not ashphalting from Uniport junction - Rumuosi. Then, people come here to tell me the road will be complete next year. They are yet to commence work on the other lane, not to mention Rumuosi-Rumukrushi which is yet to begin. This is a road project that is physical not a scientific process. Is visible for all to see. My wish is for the speedy completion of that road especially Uniport-Eleme junction axis. That's lies the large junc of traffic that affects me. East-west road cuts across every part of PH. From Uniport, Rumuokoro, Eliozu, Rumuokoro, Tank and Rumukruishe junction. So, when I complain, is not politically motivated or I don't like GEJ, I voted for him in 2011 and I don't wish any of our leader bad cos am not into politics. |

This is absolute nonsense. What they have achieve in Rivers is only one lane. I.e from Elele - Emuoha. Then, the other part they have completed is from Onne - Ette Junction (That is thanks to Yara dua who paid 80% of the money to RCC before he died.) Since the other section was given to Ministry of Niger Delta; the construction has been in snail movement. As I talk to you for the past one year. Setraco has been rigmaroling between Rumuomasi and Alakaiah in Port Harcourt section and are yet to complete one section of the road. Worst hit is the Rumuosi - Eleme junction which is now a laughing stock to our people. The Ahoada-Bayelsa-Ughelli axis has not been touched. How much did Orubebe pay to Leadership to write this rubbish. And why taking glory of Yaradua's achievement? My candid advice to our brothers from the east, speak the truth always and stop all these deceitful acts. Remember when the Igbos send their children to schools, only to discourage their Ikwerre and Etche brothers from sending theirs. Now, you are supporting a clueless leader cos he is from our side, so you can laugh at us at the end of the day. If an Igbo man choose a course to support, I will join the other pary because they are never sincere. " original mumu, na d 1 wey fall twice". |
Sunday3e: This is family affair outsiders should keep silenceIf your sister is treated like that, that will be your reaction |
Come 7th November, 2013. Finger cross. Hope to see what pans out. |
psucc: Did you see plane at all? May be you just went late after guests must have retired to their homes after wedding reception hosted at the airport. My rant is not to her. She has paid her dues to her people (Enugu Airport). is to quietness of my people here as the airport is like a motor park |
I am presently at Port Harcourt Airport. This is a an embarrassment to everything the FG claims is doing for Niger Delta. Can you imagine, canopies are now reception halls. I have to stand for two hours for no just reason. Shame on FG! |
To be fair, am an Ijaw man. I think, Amaechi and Wike conflict has affected their reasoning. In as much as am Amaechi apologist here in Rivers State (will still vote for him again if there is anything like 3rd term). I will state categorically, he has failed to organise the Ikwerre house for the national conference. While Amaechi and Wike from the same Ikwerre clan are fighting themselves because of GEJ, the Ijaw who too are the President and Amaechi's apologist made presentation in Benin two days ago. Othere ethnic groups did the same. But, the Ikwerre people were conspicuously missing. Although, the Governor didn't buy into the confab, but Wike an ally to his Boss (GEJ) should have organized his people to that conference in Benin. Enough said anyway. |
Same way PDP rigged to win in their control states |
As a southerner, this is the only civil right activist I respect. He has clamour for true federalism, he stood against Abacha dictatorship and he rejected to be in the Boko Haram dialogue committee (which is a FG scam). He has said everything to be said. What happened to Orosanya report? What of our electoral reform report? Subsidy looters, how far? This is a President that never wanted a dialogue in the first place, why does he want it now? Is because the umbrella is leaking? I am sorry to say, we have a serial liar and deceitful man as a leader. The problem with my people in Niger Delta especially the elites is that they don't want to lose the recognition that a South-South is a President. Yes, I would love my person to remain in power, but must it be GEJ? Can't we look for a competent Niger Delta man to replace this clueless son of ours. We need a no nonsense man, that will come and transform our region including making good policies for the benefit of the fisherman at the creeks, the farmer at Isiokpo, fasten the Ogoni UNEP report, restore confidence in the FG once again. And that man is somewhere in Niger Delta, he may be unknown, let's look for him and vote out this stooge OBJ gave us. |
When she decide to ground a brand new one for this scraps running our airports (Rivers jet). I know what to say about this woman. |
ijaw citizen: Pukkah, your grieviances are gunuine. But you should know that Nairaland is the "wrongest" place to vent it. You've only succeeded in bringing a defect in the state (similar situations found all over the country, even in Abuja) to be ridicled & vilified by uncouthed individuals who know nothing of the situation in Bayelsa. How do you expect him to protest when there is no freedom of speech and expression in Bayelsa. Just that a young man asked Dickson question in a town hall meeting. The guy was arrested and has not been released till now. Your mother state Governor has face far more criticism on air (naija info) from his party people and still no arrest had been made. Bayelsa rumour mongering law scare people from saying anything. The state is now a military barrack |
taharqa: OLODO, so you bliv every thing you read on Nigerian Newspapers these days??The President said it by himself represented by David Mark |
Blame APC and Boko Haram |
utumunta: Much as we know this to be true, the Minister should steer clear of negotiations with ASUU. She did not attend a Nigerian University and none of her kids are in a Nigerian University. She has no rights, whatsoever, to talk about ASUU or Nigerian Universities because she does not understand how it works, neither is she an affected parent.ASUU get the money or VCs and NUC embezzle it? |
Who are those Governors? Are some of them muslims? Because, we have only 15 State Governors who are christians by religion. For Taraba State, the Act-Governor is a muslim. Amaechi will definitely not travel with the president. This brings the number to 13. The States are: Abia Akwa Ibom Anambra Bayelsa Benue Cross River Delta Ebonyi Edo Ekiti Enugu Imo Plateau Rivers and Taraba The aforementioned states are governed by Christians as they so claim in their resume. Taking away, Rivers and Taraba. You will have 13 state governors expected to join the President on the pilgrimage. I am not even convince all we join the fray especially the ones from APC control states. I can exempt Ekiti. But, I have my doubt if Edo and Imo are going. Having said all these, the FG should be specific with figures when giving out information. |
venorite: come na only lagos dey naija ni? why does it look like lagos is the only state that is developing.wish fashola can just come and govern anambra for a year before heading to aso rockAre you sure you are ok? |
Gboliwe: If you were living in Uyo and on vacation to Portharcout, will that your budget see you through for 3days including accomodation? Can't believe this. I thought people says that PH is very expensive. What of Enugu? I just need change of environment. I don't wannna go to Lagos (hustling and bustling nature). I can't afford Abuja. |
I am a resident in Port Harcourt, I would want to take 3days vacation at Uyo at a very low cost. My budget is between 18-20k and that's include accommodation. Please any Uyo resident should help out on; 1. Cheapest Hotel accommodation 2. Places to visit 3. Transportation within the capital 4. Good restaurant. I will surely appreciate your help and further insight on this proposed trip. |
Don't worry, this will be trending in all our national dailies tomorrow. |
My source who knows the messenger to the King of Saudi Arabia disclosed in confidence that during the Hajj visit at Mecca. Prominent APC chieftains met with their King to sabotage GEJ efforts in securing a non-member slot. Having failed in that attempt, they called him to activate the plan B which is totally rejection of the appointment. When I try to ask him, how he got the information, he told me to ask Maku, Reuben Abati, Gulak, and Metu for the full gist. More to follow as events unfolds |
berem: STV has the worst set of political presenters. They should learn how to anchor political programmes from Channels and TVC.I like Uzonna Ononye, the dude chews politics |
I will ask him. 'Why are you clueless'? |
Every President or Head of State were far better than this Fisherman |
Do you expect only her to teach? For God said, lecturers are on strike. |
We are waiting for them to come and destroy them. Can these good for nothing politicians differentiate politics from governance. Senator Lee Maeba who is championing this course stayed in senate for 8years without initiating any FG project. What he use to deceive us was creation of Ogoni State which he knows is not feasible in this civil dispensation. This goes to show the type of people Mr. President is working with. When I heared the former Senator ranting ignorance on view point Rythmn (93.7), I didn't take him seriously. Having seen Wike join the fray. Then we may smell a rat. Questions for Lee. Songhai farm and that Plantation farm, maybe if you count the model secondary schools are the major projects in Ogoni land bar the Roads and model primary schools he buit. Distinguished Senator, will you join Wike to demolished a project that has employed 5,000 of your people. Why not ask Wike to join you destroy the Amiesimaka Stadium and latest infrastructure at Greater Port Harcourt (Obio Akpor and Ikwerre LGA respectively). |
Nearly 2months since my GF dump me. I am very close to starting new life. I have decided to close the door for a new relationship for now. Is like a blessing in disguise. I can now do things the way I want. Infact God has even bless me. I am very close in buying a car, this was not possible when we were dating cos I was always solving her problems. Thank God she is gone forever. I thought she was everything you could wish for. This breakup has been a bitter-sweet for me. I lost my job after taking permission to visit her and resolve our dispute, whinned for weeks for that and eventually getting a better job after that. |
I am about getting my first car in my life. At 27years is that too late? That's by the way, I have 400k and am looking at buying any of Toyota's product. With this amount, can I get with an AC factory, automatic gear of any model and will be economical to maintain. |
