Dont inquire from them. You are only allowed to inquire from them if your application has passed the maximum processing time of 6 months. If you inquire from them now, they will reply you with their normal copy and paster format that your application is in queue for processing and bla bla bla....

You mean the 8k euros in your blocked account covered the tuition fee expenses of 2,400 euros per semester for 3 semesters or did you have to proof additional source of funding to the Embassy cos I know the 8k euros was calculated for tuition free students only. ??

CDHC HAS JUST RELEASED OUTSTANDING APPLICATIONS ON 19/02/2013 AND TODAY, FOR THOSE WHO SUBMITTED AROUND SEPT. AND OCT. AND EARLY NOV. WHO HAS NOT HEARD FROM THEM SHOULD START TRACKING NOW. BUT UNFORTUNATELY, MOST OF THEM ARE DENIALS/REFUSAL. THIS GUYS ARE NOW REALLY VERY STRICT IN DISHING OUT VISAS. WHEN YOUR TIME COMES, NO ONE CAN HINDER IT. CHEERS!

They have tighen their seat belt and more stricter than last year. Very competitive now and decision are now made so carefully. Voluminous applications is the cause of the high compitition.

go to vac tomoro and tell them u need ur documents back. It is not a crime that u lost ur receipt. They have ur intl'l passport inside ur application so they will use that to identify u.
I told u guys to start tracking last week end that CDHC has processed a lot of applications. For those who submited aorund sept, & oct and has not heard anything from cdhc, congrats oh. Especialy if u used close relationship as sponsor. They are interested in ur case and verifying ur documents now. They have dismissed almost all denials files last week.

@ALL, CDHC PROCESSED A LOT OF APPLICATIONS TODAY ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT SUBMITTED AROUND SEPT. OCTOBER, NOVEMBER AND FEW DEC. SO PLS TRACK YOUR STATUS NOW AND GIVE US THE GOOD NEWS.

it's high time all nairalanders in Lagos gathered together in CDHC on a certain date we will agree on and protest on delay. We would arrange and go with news papers jounalist e.g Vangaurd or Punch to carry the news so that our national assembly will hear and even Canada government will be aware how this guys are seizing our original documents and international passport over 6 months. Imagine a friend cannot collect money from Western Union cos his passport has been with CDHC for ages. This can no longer be tolorated and we need to act to save our self and generation of ill and descriminatory treatment.
If you agree to this proposal, let us fix date and plan ahead cos CDHC own don too much. They need to be exposed. They are not working in that embassy and they are not the only Embassy in Nigeria.

Khulehzy, how come somebody that did interview 2 weeks ago was contacted for travel insurance today by the Embassy and yours is taking time?

My student visa interview today was fine and went smoothly. I thank God. I was told I will be contacted within few weeks as my application will be forwarded to Germany for further processing and approval. The interview session lasted up to 1 hr and 10min with series of questions. I have done my part and looking unto God to complete the rest. Happy month end!

He is pulling ur leg, but u don't know. If Germany is not good suxes2005 will not start this tread. In the first place why will u be asking if Germany the heart of europe is good? That is why suxess2005 vex for u answer ur question since u want to listen to friends advise. Do research by ursef and stop listening to people that does not have 8k euros to open block account in Germany.

Chaii cdhc don cast. Those delay is just a targeted attempt to delay people and discourage them from applying for their heaven study permit. They even have vault room where they store applications without touching it.

I got admission in Concordia University,Montreal and having received my admission letter for January 2013 by post, I deferred my admission to May 2013 cos there was no time for me to process my visa. Now I've received the new letter of admission by email but I'm still waiting for the admission letter by post. Can I apply to the embassy now, with the former admission letter attached to the new admission letter I received by email,with and a document explaining myself and when I receive the new admission letter by post, I can then send it to the embassy? I no just wan waste time.

No you cannot apply for the student visa now even though you receive the original letter now cos you need to first apply for Quebec du acceptance certificate cos your institution is located in Montreal, Quebec.

@all after the interview at German Embassy will they return your passport or hold it? My guy said they set maths test for him today oh during the interview. Who has experience this?

Does anyone know any University in Germany that can accept a canditate with just his WAEC result into computer science? My cousin is interested but I dont know of any school now.

By the way, how did you go about the “Blocked Account“ issue?

It takes maximum of 3 weeks to get ur account open with Deutsch bank, 3 days to get confirmation after transfering the money from Nigeria and 3 weeks to get visa after your interview appointment. So when u total it you will have close to 7 weeks for visa processing.

Plus a replacement for diploma is a result from SAT,IJMB and those A'level exams

The truth of the matter is that u cannot qualify for most of the German university admission with only waec or neco cos the competition is very high and remember that a lot of more qualified people from different countries are applying so I will advise you to have A'level or diploma or first year university grade to be on the saver side. Schs like rhine waal told me this so I am speaking from experience. They told me with only O'level, one can only be admitted into their one year preparatory class and Embassy prefers direct entry into 100 level.
I appplied with my Neco and Diploma and got the admission. Although na God sha no be by power. So even though u see schools requiring only O'level, try add some additional qualification to increase your chances since competition is high. Though few sch accepts only waec or neco if u can find them. But if u don't have additional qualification and not willing to write A'level, just apply with what u have and leave the rest for God. flange: I need an advice . The German universities need an A'level result too for undergraduate studies now I didn't do A'level what do I do now although I have a predegree result for unilorin which is very good can I use it as A'level ? Plus it was issued 2007 what are my chances ?

pre-degree is an O'level and not A'level. An A'level is any qualification that can place u in second year in a University without doing first yr. E.g a Diploma is also an A'level but pre- degree will only place in in first yr not second yr. But some German University requirement will demmand for A'level or diploma or first year grades of University studies. But if the grades are not too good, dont bother using them. Just apply with ur waec and ur 100 level university transcript if they carry weight.

you can only move to Canada after your masters remember you have 8k euros in a blocked account that u cannot withdraw completely except in a period of one year unless u want to fofeit it and go to Canada where u pay huge sch fees. Most guys I know that has the mind of going to Canada from Germany finally liked Germany and settled down as they find green pasture there. You should also be able to prove to Canadian embassy in Germany why u are not completing ur studies and moving to canada. Most times this is difficult to proof as they will be skeptical & think u are desperate. So just complete ur studies in Germany and apply for permernent residence to Canada with ur masters since going to canada from Nigeria is somehow tough.

kenniy: I received the email on Friday, then went with it to the embassy on monday. They then sent my stuff to vfs and told me to go collect it and also go for medicals.

Did they also update your vfs tracking page to notify you for further instruction? Cos not everyone know about this new email thing?

I don't advise anyone to release his credit card information over the phone for security reasons. Instead, just apply online direclt on their official site and your credit/debit card will be charge with rest of mind.
