Dongreat:How are you sure the prostitute is saying the truth? You choose to believe the prostitute forgetting that anybody can be accused of anything. Its clear that you admire prostitutes than pastors becos they are there for ur patronage. Remember, pastor suleiman was a saint he had never had any blemish in his ministry for the past 20yrs, but when he began to speak against government and the killings, this prostitute just came from nowhere and began her drama. You have to think deep. Shalom! |

It was a big woe for a sacked Senator Bassey Albert Akpan as the Federal High Court sitting in Uyo outrightly rejected his application to obtain stay of execution in the judgment of Justice F O Riman of February 27, 2017 that earlier ousted him as the senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District, and ordered immediate swearing in of the Original winner of the PDP senatorial Primary of 2014, Rt. Hon. Bassey Etim. With the judgment that strikes out the stay of execution application by the ousted Senator Bassey Albert Akpan, there is no encumbrances stopping the leadership of the National Assembly from swearing Rt. Hon. Bassey Etim. More detail loading..... |
Protest in Uyo over the refusal of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki to swear in the judiciary confirmed Senator for Akwa Ibom Northeast Senatorial District, Rt. Hon. Bassey Etim. They also plan to occupy National Assembly until Senate President Obeys Court directive, which has already been complied by the INEC. 1 hr · Facebook Lite · Public |

Sanctification is God’s will
for us ( 1 Thessalonians 4:3 ). The
word sanctification is related to the
word saint ; both words have to do
with holiness. To “sanctify”
something is to set it apart for
special use; to “sanctify” a person is
to make him holy.
Jesus had a lot to say about
sanctification in John 17 . In verse 16
the Lord says, “They are not of the
world, even as I am not of it,” and
this is before His request: “Sanctify
them by the truth; your word is
truth” (verse 17). In Christian
theology, sanctification is a state of
separation unto God; all believers
enter into this state when they are
born of God: “You are in Christ
Jesus, who became to us wisdom
from God, righteousness and
sanctification and redemption” ( 1
Corinthians 1:30, ESV ). The
sanctification mentioned in this verse
is a once-for-ever separation of
believers unto God. It is a work God
performs, an intricate part of our
salvation and our connection with
Christ ( Hebrews 10:10 ). Theologians
sometimes refer to this state of
holiness before God as “positional”
sanctification; it is the same as
justification.
While we are positionally holy (“set
free from every sin” by the blood of
Christ, Acts 13:39 ), we know that we
still sin ( 1 John 1:10 ). That’s why
the Bible also refers to sanctification
as a practical experience of our
separation unto God. “Progressive”
or “experiential” sanctification, as it
is sometimes called, is the effect of
obedience to the Word of God in
one’s life. It is the same as growing
in the Lord ( 2 Peter 3:18 ) or spiritual
maturity. God started the work of
making us like Christ, and He is
continuing it ( Philippians 1:6 ). This
type of sanctification is to be
pursued by the believer earnestly ( 1
Peter 1:15 ; Hebrews 12:14 ) and is
effected by the application of the
Word ( John 17:17 ). Progressive
sanctification has in view the setting
apart of believers for the purpose for
which they are sent into the world:
“As you sent me into the world, I
have sent them into the world. For
them I sanctify myself, that they too
may be truly sanctified” ( John
17:18–19 ). That Jesus set Himself
apart for God’s purpose is both the
basis and the condition of our being
set apart (see John 10:36 ). We are
sanctified and sent because Jesus
was. Our Lord’s sanctification is the
pattern of and power for our own.
The sending and the sanctifying are
inseparable. On this account we are
called “saints” ( hagioi in the Greek),
or “sanctified ones.” Prior to
salvation, our behavior bore witness
to our standing in the world in
separation from God, but now our
behavior should bear witness to our
standing before God in separation
from the world. Little by little, every
day, “those who are being
sanctified” ( Hebrews 10:14, ESV ) are
becoming more like Christ.
There is a third sense in which the
word sanctification is used in
Scripture—a “complete” or “ultimate”
sanctification. This is the same as
glorification. Paul prays in 1
Thessalonians 5:23 , “May the God of
peace himself sanctify you
completely, and may your whole
spirit and soul and body be kept
blameless at the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ” (ESV). Paul speaks of
Christ as “the hope of
glory” ( Colossians 1:27 ) and links
the glorious appearing of Christ to
our personal glorification: “When
Christ, who is your life, appears, then
you also will appear with him in
glory” ( Colossians 3:4 ). This
glorified state will be our ultimate
separation from sin, a total
sanctification in every regard. “We
know that when Christ appears, we
shall be like him, for we shall see
him as he is” ( 1 John 3:2 ).
To summarize, “sanctification” is a
translation of the Greek word
hagiasmos , meaning “holiness” or “a
separation.” In the past, God granted
us justification, a once-for-all,
positional holiness in Christ. Now,
God guides us to maturity, a
practical, progressive holiness. In the
future, God will give us glorification,
a permanent, ultimate holiness.
These three phases of sanctification
separate the believer from the
penalty of sin ( justification), the
power of sin ( maturity ), and the
presence of sin ( glorification ). |

Our attention was drawn to an
exclusive interview granted by
embattled Senator Bassey Albert with
the Radar newspaper, captioned “
OBA SPITS FIRE”, with riders, “I won
the PDP primaries, Bassey Etim
forged delegates list.... ”, initially, it
would have been needless joining
issues with the embattled senator
whose end of impunity perpetuated
in 2014 PDP primary will soon come
to an end. But to guides the general
public and the people of Akwa Ibom
North Senatorial district, it is
pertinent to put some records
straight.
During the interview, the embattled
Senator Bassey Albert claimed that
he won the PDP primaries, which
makes one begins to wonder if it is
possible to win election that one did
not contested or buy nomination
form for, or does he want to tell
Akwa Ibom people that he won the
PDP governorship primaries?, in
2014, it was public knowledge in this
state that Mr Bassey Albert
campaigned and bought nomination
the PDP form to via for the
governorship position in 2014, but
the way and manner that
governorship form was transformed
and manipulated to send the
embattled senator to the senate is
still a question that must be
answered by the perpetrators of that
impunity.
Without trying to prejudice or pre-
empt the honourable Court of law,
the case between Bassey Albert and
Elder Bassey Etim is in advanced
stage, whose judgement may comes
up in less than a month from today,
so for someone who is a party in the
case, like Bassey Albert to raised
these porous allegations, as
published by the Radar newspaper,
by my layman knowledge, i think its
contemptuous.
In the course of this case in Court,
we have heard all sorts of lies,
fabrications, falsification of
documents, character assassination,
petition of a presiding judge, all
borne out by desperation to
maintained the stolen mandate, if
senate seat was that enjoyable to Mr
Bassey Albert, why didn’t he bought
for that position to test his popularity
in Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial
district, why did he opted for
governorship primary, and later
decided to passed through back door
to the senate.
Talking about forgery, who should be
accused of forgery in this case?, the
report from INEC of the said
primaries where Albert claimed to
have won, as submitted in Court
shows that, it was Independent
National Electoral that monitored his
election, while the one that Elder
Bassey Etim won was from
Independent National Electoral
Commission, on this case, who
should be blame for forgery?.
The result sheet submitted by Bassey
Albert in Court reads that the
primaries for Uyo senatorial district
was conducted on the 9th of
December, 2014, while the original
date for the primary was on 7th
December, 2014, who should be the
one that forged document here.
One of the star witnesses for the
embattled Senator Bassey Albert is
being investigated at the police
headquarters, Abuja at the moment
on a perjury case, as regards some
document forged to mislead the
Court that Bassey Albert won the
senatorial primary, but that wouldn’t
be possible, because, he did not by
nomination form for the senate, but
governorship.
The problem with the Peoples
Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State
during 2015 elections, was caused
by unnecessary interference by the
government officials in the process
electing candidates to represent the
party in the general election, which
almost made the party lost the state,
if not rigging. If the state government
were not neck-deep into the activities
of the party and its internal
democratic processes, how would
Bassey Albert, who did not buy for
the senatorial seat, now be in the
senate today, this is the highest level
of impunity in the system.
Talking about the person of Elder
Bassey Etim forging document, or
delegates list is laughable, Etim is a
very decent gentleman, who likes
things to be done in the proper
manner, the so called forged
delegates list is in the Court today as
exhibit, and its dully signed by the
Independent National Electoral
Commission, not the one of Albert
that is signed by the Independent
National Electoral, if there is such
institution in Nigeria.
Elder Bassey Etim is a founding
member of PDP in Uruan local
government, and Akwa Ibom state, he
was a two term member of the House
of Representatives for Uyo federal
constituency, between 2003 to 2011,
before coming into politics, he was a
successful businessman, he had
served as a South South Chairman of
Independent Marketers Association,
IPMAN for many years, and brought
about a lot of transformations in the
association. Its only takes a man of
integrity to achieve such feat in life.
Recently, i have read some
comments and advised from PDP
chieftains in the some state, some of
whom have held very sensitive
positions in this state, suggesting
that Elder Bassey Etim should
withdraw the case and wait for 2019,
my question for them is, must we
continue to live in injustice and
impunity in Akwa Ibom State?, can’t
we remember how Barr Bassey Dan
Abia Jr. Went to the house of
representatives, if he had withdrew
his case midway, the confidence that
the people of Eket federal
constituency reposed on him would
have been mortgaged, even Rotimi
Ameachi case is still there as a
precedence, so we must allowed the
rule of law to take its course.
During the interview, embattled
Senator Albert claimed that the
Appeal Court judgement of last week
was inconsequential, which makes
any reasonable Nigerian to view his
claim as a latest humour of this
century, he went to Appeal Court to
stopped the Federal High Court from
further hearing of the pending case,
and his application was stroke out
for lacking merit, if the judgement
was inconsequential as he claimed,
why did he had to approached the
appellate court to stop the ongoing
hearing.
The truth of the whole matter is that,
Rt. Hon. Bassey Etim won the
December 7, 2014 PDP senatorial
primary in Uyo, that is why Bassey
Albert and his cohorts are running
helter- skelter looking for whom to
blame, if he had truly won the
primary as claimed, why is he
running around looking for whom to
blame, the hearing has been
concluded in the case, it’s now left
for the parties in the case to adopt
their motions and addresses, why
don’t he waits for the judgement
day?.
The people of Uyo senatorial district,
especially the PDP delegates who
voted overwhelmingly for Rt. Hon.
Bassey Etim have no need to worry,
because, very soon, justice will
prevail and the stolen mandate will
be reclaimed.
