Car TalkRe: Mazda Thread by kenmaro(op): 8:59am On Aug 04, 2014
Prior to this, the services done was intake
manifold gasket change which I had to change twice Bcoz d stock pcv hose was ruptured during d first reinstallment so I had to remove d intake again to change d pcv valve & hose with brand new sets including intake gasket. it was even when I was hearing this hissing sound from d engine bay around d intake side that made me to suspect a ruptured pcv hose and at thesame time I started feeling d stumbling stuff. But now I have reinstalled new sets which I personally supervised to make sure it was properly reinstalled, which was done well but I still feel d stumble though it's less compared to before. The mechanic was like could it be d AC gas was overfilled which might be d stumbling cause Bcoz there
was a worn ac valve seal which was replaced and
d AC gas was flushed and refilled too. Also, I cleaned d egr valve
and reinstall with a new oem gasket.

sultaan: You have the right spark plug try start the engine and disconnect the wires to the ignition coil on at a time see if there is any cylinder that makes no change to engine sound when disconnected. a cylinder that is not working will make no difference to the way engine runs. I am not looking for a bad coil since you just changed them, just the possibility that the ignition wires were connected to the wrong coil so it will be a possibility if 2 if the cylinders make no difference

Can you by any chance remember what happened to the car just before this problem started and maybe a couple of close range pics of the engine with engine cover removed ,looking for unusual loose wires/hoses

sultaan: Can you give the part number of the spark plugs you may have the wrong one, the one you need is written on the emission label of the hood when you open the bonnet, Bosch if mainly for german cars, you should be using motorcraft or autolite
I used Bosch 9617 iridium spark plugs
Car TalkRe: Stumbling Car by kenmaro(op): 7:18am On Jul 19, 2014
I have done that already and all cylinders are ok.
Car TalkRe: Mazda Thread by kenmaro(op): 2:45pm On Jul 17, 2014
Ok. The only code i have now is P0128 ''Coolant temperature below thermostat regulating temperature". And i have already ordered for a new thermostat. It idles steadily except when the ac is on and it fluctuates a little when the ac compressor kicks on and off at a normal operation.

Could you refer me to where I could do a good affordable check on the car? Preferably, around ikeja or near ikeja. Thanks!
Car TalkRe: Stumbling Car by kenmaro(op): 8:48pm On Jul 16, 2014

Help! My car stumbles as if it wants to stall when accelerating slightly from a stop and it also surges when in motion sometimes especially when my leg is off the accelerator pedal and I am descending a slope. There's no vacuum leak present, no hard starting in the morning, it vibrates gently when at stop in traffic, there is considerable power loss. Spark plugs are brand new bosch iridium and ignition coils are brand new too, injectors were serviced recently, maf sensor was also cleaned with a crc maf sensor cleaner and throttle body too was cleaned.

1998 Mazda 626 manual gear oil is
"API GL-5, SAE 75W90 semi-synthetic
transmission fluid"
Transaxle: Manual
Fill up capacity: 2.7 liters
Car TalkRe: Mazda Thread by kenmaro(op):
braimahjak: Dextron iii should do
Note* He said ''manual'' not automatic. I don't think dextron applies to manual. I think Manuals have their own formations. You could google it. As for the engine oil; Every car has an owner's manual and the engine oil specification is stated in there, so I will suggest instead of an open forum guess suggestions, why don't you check d manual or google it.

BluStreak: Wow! How come mazda thread is so not active? Mazda cars are awesome cars o. My only problem is they seem under-powered. I bought an 02 Millie off Nairaland for Wifey, car is so sound but when I drive it and step on the gas pedal, it doesn't follow swiftly like my 07 Accord V6 despite the Millie being a V6. Is it a fault or the car is just under-powered?
Check your air filter; clean it or if it's clogged, change it.

pDude: Nigerians are really something. undecided

Thank God I have left that country. And to think I used to be like all of you makes me so ashamed. undecided

That is why oyibo has advanced past you cavemen.

I guess only a few of you have heard of self-expression
I agree with you that self expression is a right. But, it should be done in way that doesn't infringe on the other person's right too. This is an infringement on the faith of other true catholic worshipers who are around that moment but because they might be a "nobody" in the society, they can't voice it out. Can he sit before the president in such a manner if he is hosted in the presidential villa or can he display such ego in a mosque?. He should have at least comport himself in the manner at which it is expected of him in the catholic church faith since he is a guest in the church. He could do whatever he wishes at the reception after the church requiem mass. Moreover, this is not a time for celebrity show off or political show off as he did to Gov. Rochas, rather it is a mourning moment for him and others who might not necessarily be blood related to his late father. Let us give some respect to God if not for anything but for at least the life He has given us.
CelebritiesRe: Charlyboy Pictured In Church During Father's Funeral Service by kenmaro: 2:45pm On Jun 30, 2014
Absolute madness! I blame the officiating priest for this show off. This shows you what our churches have become these days. Would this be allowed of an ordinary man who is a "nobody" in the society? Religion is now price tagged. A poor man is not recognized anymore. "Everybody for himself, God for everybody". May God help us all.

sultaan: What type of resistance are you getting on the coil

Car TalkRe: Toyota Camry (Auto) Jerks And Vibrates While I Apply Brakes by kenmaro: 1:18pm On Dec 12, 2013
Is it auto transmission and do u have a CEL on your dash screen? Does it idle well at cold start? If yes to all these, then run a scan. There could be a misfire too.
Car TalkRe: ATF For Corolla 2007 by kenmaro: 11:06pm On Dec 04, 2013
My brother, you already know what atf ( Toyota T-IV) your car recommends, so no need to use an alternative as your OEM atf should be readily available in Nigerian market. Just go to any Toyota major dealer like Elizade in Abuja to search for it or you could extend your search to Lagos market, it is very much available in Lagos. Pls, hurry and flush out the dextron IIID your mech has put in there.

AutosCarparts.com.ng Is Real And Genuine by kenmaro(op):
I spoke over the phone with the guys at Carparts.com.ng over my interest in purchasing an oxygen sensor and a carton by 12 bottles of Mazda OEM ATF M5 from AutoZone shop in the USA. I also sent them the url link of the items I needed by email to be specific. After we agreed on the terms of purchase which included payment in full before supply of the said items in 7 working days. Would they deliver? Should I trust them since there was not a single customer review on their website I thought within me? And will it be worth giving a try? But I felt there was something about these guys that shows their dedication to the customer satisfaction and I had no reason to believe that they would fail me. I went ahead and made the payment into their GTB account on Monday 30/10/2013 in anticipation of the delivery as discussed.
They didn't fail me as i received the items on Wednesday 09/10/2013. See pictures of the items I order through them. One good thing about them is they stuck to their slogan; “Low Price Parts, Quality Guaranteed” because the variation between the cost of the parts they delivered to me and the cost of the parts online was not more than 10 percent. Also, it was timely as they had promised. I am presently convinced by carparts.com.ng and if you need quality OEM parts at the lowest prices through them from the USA & Europe, i will highly recommend them to anyone and i believe you will be glad you did business with them as i am too. You could check them out at www.carparts.com.ng

If you suspect that the MAF sensor is the culprit, then try cleaning it before replacing it outrightly. See this link on how to clean the MAF sensor; http://www.ehow.com/m/how_5901020_clean-maf-sensor.html
Goodluck!
