215/55 R15 won't do any harm to the car. It's still within the recommended +/-3percent limit for tyre and wheel change. The diameter difference for 215/55 R15 compared to the stock tyres is +1.5percent while the speedometer difference is +1.530percent. Which is just 0.9miles per 60miles faster compared to the stock 205/60 R15. As per MPG, it won't cost any noticeable difference. The choice is yours

195/60 R15 is smaller in width by 1" than the stock(205/60R15). May be the tyre dealer is only trying to market the one he has to you. For better balancing and handling performance, you may use 215/55 R15 on wheel diameter 6.5" - 7.0" J. You may go to www.1010tires.com to get more info on tyre recommendation for car brands.

I have thought about the idea of a lastma officer arresting a traffic offender and then the next the lastma officer does is jump into the drivers sit of the arrested vehicle and start driving without knowing if the car is in good condition or not getting use to the driving patterns of the car. These could be hazardous to other road users as there is a possibility of brake failure or an accident as a result of poor handling of the car by the lastma officer. Lagos state govt should look into this practise by some lastma officials so to control the rate of accidents caused by lastma officials always. Imagine the lastma man driving a danfo bus without knowing the braking distance being managed by the danfo driver. May God save us from the hands of some agbero-lastma officers that are in the LASTMA.

@ Siena: Pls, i just read an article on a web page online that changing tires from the original vehicle stock tire sizes is harmful to the vehicles performance, stability,speedometer calibration,steering,alignment,suspensions,braking distance, and could cause damage to the vehicle. Pls, what's your say on these as i have gotten the tires (225/50/17) but i won't mind going back to re-do the stock sizes even though it will cost me some loss. Thanks

Pls, I live in Lagos and I drive a 2007 mazda 6 with 60,000miles on it presently. I've bn using mobil xhp super 20w50 engine oil on it for about 5months now. Is it ok for a 60,000miles car or should I switch to mobil 1 synthetic oil? The car manual recommends 5w20 or 5w30.

Also, check to be sure your calipers are running properly. If not, they might need some little routine servicing.

when last did u change ur spark plugs?

get HANKOOK dry cell battery. go to olowu in ikeja or you can get it any good battery shop around. Dry cell battery is better. Be sure that u get d appropriate required volt for your car. Eg. 60, 65, or 70volts as recommended by d car manufacturer.

Pls, i use a mazda6 car and the 1st time i took it to the filling station where i normally do my Honda car engine oil change, the guy there could not locate d oil filter. So, i had to do just oil change and make do wit d already installed old oil filter. One thing with us, Nigerians, is that we are so much carried off by the thought of regular cars like Toyota and Honda that we miss out in the joyful ride/ experience of other car brands. Ask any little child or young starter in Niaja about his dream car he will tell you Honda or Toyota because those brands of cars are so common that they have become traditional names here in Nigeria. I tell you, even Honda and Toyota users do have one or two bitter experiences. No machine is predictable. It could fail at anytime if not properly taken care of. I think mazda cars are dependable and reliable. Presently, i use a 4cylinder 2007 mazda 6i model, though it's just 2 months old, but i tell u so far i am enjoying my ride in it. It has a beautiful interior and exterior, it has some extra features that are missing in some other brands of its class like honda and toyota, and it delivers like a 6cylinder car. Note; newer mazda models are not as cheap as some people think, it all depend on the source and the history of the car. The decision on the choice of a car all depends on what u want from the car, how u want the car be like, and why u like the car. Mazda is good!
