Instead of this feeding programme, why not introduce a true free education for basic levels (primary & secondary school levels). Then, the parents can feed their home with the supposed fees they were expected to pay for their ward's education. This will also go a long way to reduce the illiteracy level in Nigeria since basic education will be free.

This feeding programme is another subsidy drain pipe. Spending a whopping 679m naira daily, is outrageous non economical.

I agree with you as he has no power to even execute that lest he pays for it as it wasn't a criminal offence that mandates a capital punishment. The most penalty is an option of a fine or sealing off the hotel for some considerable period.

A good leader do not make statements just for threats to her citizenry. Wike should learn to think over his words/actions to ensure he makes pronouncements that he is capable of so as not to be taken for granted as a noise maker overtime. Exactly, patients running away shows that the government is not giving them adequate care as has been seen by protest from some states. The government should improve on patients welfare; good food, good environment, very welcoming and friendly services, etc. No reasonable person wants to die if given good medical services.

Billions of spent on this Corona stuff but no evidence to show for such expenses. The palliative expenses has gone under the carpet as no one is talking about it. All palliative distributions are no more and the government has assumed completed without no proportional disbursement.

This is leading to worsening medical conditions in non-corona patients and the deaths which are also either tagged corona related or no explanations as is seen in Kano. There are cases of autoimmune diseases that are in need of regular medical checkups and care who have run out of drugs or are not getting the required medical attention or whose cases relapsed during the Corona lockdown. Like diabetic, hypertensive, kidney dialysis patients, etc.

The government needs to step up their efforts so as to limit the deaths.

Detaining the cab driver is a very wrong decision by whoever authorized it as that will send wrong signal to other Nigerians who witness such scene. They won't report such incidence to appropriate authorities whenever such needs arises. They worst case was to question the cab driver on the incidence, take his statement down, get his biodata and contact details, inform him of the need for his attention in respect of the case whenever the need arises, then let him go on with his business. And, these should be within an hour without wasting his time. Our government are unusual sometimes, tend to wonder if they are in a separate planet.
