First, I commend the management of "Game" in the Palms mall in Lekki area over their effort(s) to withstand the corrupt, dynamic, & competitive Nigerian market over the past few years, successfully, especially in an environment like ours where the government only play words-of-mouth support role for private investors without any physical actions or benefits. It's not easy to do or start-up a good legitimate business in the Nigerian market.
Considering the short supply in genuine automotive after-market parts in Nigeria and high rate of car usage which in-turn generates high demand for these automotive parts necessitating for a lot of auto users making direct personal buying/ importation of these needed parts from the USA and Europe at very high cost which they are not too satisfied with but so long its the OEM genuine parts that meet their requirements, I am suggesting that the "Game" includes an Automotive After-market parts department in it's business just like the Walmart, Autozone, and etc does in the USA. They could sell things like lubricants (OEM oils & ATFs), car tune-up parts, some small interior & exterior parts, car elements, car accessories, and etc at reasonable prices. I believe this will be a major growth strategy for "Game" as it will boost their overall sales turnover thereby boosting their anual profit and also satisfying the needs of auto users in Nigeria. These will all create a domino effect in the auto industry demand and supply in Nigeria because it will bring back that lost confidence Nigerians need in the usage of variety of car brands(honda,toyota,nissan,mazda,ford,jeep,chevrolet,saturn,mercury,rovers,bmw,mercedes, and etc) as obtainable in the USA, Europe, & other Continents without fear of availability of the after-market parts & good maintenance of these variety of cars.
The quack knowledge of most Nigerian mechanics is mostly borne because of ignorance and exposure. They may be limited to a few genuine work materials/parts and tools which force them to give wrong and selfish automotive advice/services just to make their living. With a department like this in "Game", an ignorant mechanic who is ready to learn and work could easily get a workshop manual and do the right services and be exposed to the auto after some service and usage experience. And also in the present auto world, most cars are equipped or manufactured in a way that an average enlightened auto user could do some routine maintenance service on his/her car with the aid of the car and workshop manual on his/her own thereby making some savings on the suppose labour cost if the services of a mechanic was used, if the required parts are available. These Do-it-yourself method could also increase the technical knowledge of a lot Nigerian auto users which could help in other areas of the economy when the need arises.

Pls, does anyone know how many oxygen sensor a 2007 Mazda 6i 2.3L Engine(4cylinder) has in all?

Mazda recommended atf are Mazda ATF III and ATF M-V. I have 5 bottles of Amsoil synthetic ATF that meets this ATF III and M-V spec, if interested, contact me.

You could get your Mazda3 motorcraft oil filter in Olowu in Ikeja. And for your mazda engine oil recommended spec,5w20 or 5w30, check Auto Select shops. Note as stated on the car manual, that the major benefit of this engine oil spec is to the fuel economy. You could also use Mobil 1 engine oil.

I have told him to go look for Nissan gear transmission oil, though he said there is no difference in using the Abbro or Sea Horse........that it is just from different manufactures..........that all those so called big names and what the manuals of most vehicle says ain't applicable here in Nigeria, sine we have a different weather condition. I left him and said after all it is vehicle and his money!


A quick one, what will be responsible for the delay/slow shift in auto gear of a Honda CR-V 98 model. Just change the gear oil using the "Castrol Import multi-vehicle Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF). I attached the product data sheet for your advise!"

Mazda cars and all other car brands are very good and durable. Note that the durability of a car depends on the users maintenance habit. It's only ammatures that condemn a particular brand because of their Nigerian mentality of Toyota and Honda syndrome. Use and maintain your car properly and you shall reap the durability of Mazda cars. Goodluck!

I don't think they are the same. But, go to AutoSelect along opebi road beside adebola house, they have coastal atf, a US brand, it meets mistibushi atf SP III spec and the SP III is stated on it.

I got this Honda Accord 2003 EX in February. I changed
the engine oil and filter on April 20.
On June 10, I realized that the oil is short and below the
minimum gauge, I decide to change the engine oil and filter
again but this time, I opted for Mobil 1 after trying
endlessly to get 5W-20, I didn't really use the car other
than going to and fro the office. I checked the oil last
week after a journey from Abuja to Akure and realize
that the oil was below the minimum gauge( I didn't actually
check it before I embarked on the journey, I don't know if
its the Mobil 1 engine oil that is not compatible with the
car.
I want to go and service the car again, please advise me
on the engine oil to use and I won't mind if anyone can
also direct me to a good auto-mechanic in Abuja.
Also does anyone know why these 2 lights should be on:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp and the ABS light, I think it
has been like that since I got the car.
Please help me before another of this Abuja trial and
error road side guys fry my pocket o.

Mobil 1 engine oil is ok for your car. How many quarts or litres did you use?

autodudez: It wount have any immediate effect. But your atf has been contaminated.The question is how much.The contamination with time will cause a little build up of sludge which might clog filters and oil passages.safer to flush.

I use a 2007 Mazda 6 too & it's a good car. I use to have similar issue on mine for some few times. I did a scan & no code was found. Until my mech suggested I change d spark plugs & he washed my fuel filter which ofcourse did have some dirt particules stucked on it. He dismantled d fuel pump & filter housing located under the rear passenger seat in the fuel tank, then used a carb cleaner to wash the dirts off it. Also, check the throttle body if it's stucked too with carbon deposits as this could affect it too. If it's stucked, it could be cleaned with a carb/choke cleaner by an experienced professional as this is a delicate part. Check for vacum leaks too. Pls, use the OEM Mazda iridium spark plugs. I got mine at the mazda dealership in ikeja at Neul Ojei Holdings close to the local aiport terminal 1.

If one mistakenly add about half litre(i.e 500ml) of abro atf to an 8litre capacity transmission filled with dextron 6 atf, will it have any negative to the transmission? Pls, note that the 500ml of abro is just a little quantity.

Nissan is a good product and there are no issue peculiar to any brand as all are liable to have some manufacturing/ design defects. It's just that the Nigerian market is suffering from popular demand syndrome(Toyota and Honda syndrome) making these popular demands over-priced as well as making all other brands look inferior. Remember your economics basics, "the higher the demand, the higher the price". My brother, the major determinant of a car is the user's maintenance style/culture. Nissan is a good car. Search well for a good one, maintain it properly, and it will serve you very well.

I will make my comment base on a paragraph from Femi Aribisala's write-up. I quote: "Pastors hide from church-members the fact that money was not acceptable as tithe. I think as at the time before and after of Christ, money was not of so much use as at then, there were situations of trade by barter(ie, exchange of goods and services for the same like) that may be widely used then. And if i am not wrong in my own opinion, the context, FOOD, as it is been used in (Malachi 3:10) in the old could represent MONEY in the present because as at the old, most of the people then were peasant farmers,hunters and fishermen whose live-Li-hood depends on the direct products of their labour and may be the rest in excess are been exchanged for other goods and services they might need. Comparing to the present today, live-li-hood has gone so viral that virtually everything a man needs for his survival all depends on MONEY for him to procure his needs. There are no enough lands for man to farm again because all those empty lands of the old have been structurally developed by the government and man to occupy the growing urban development. Even if you want to farm now, you will still need MONEY to pay for your bills(light, water bills). So, in other to make the tithing easier for a modern generation, comes the use of MONEY for the payment of tithe.
I was once so sceptical about this tithing of a stuff and i did a lot of research on it just to protect my hard earned money been given out ignorantly but one thing i have come to understand about tithing is this: Tithing is not all about you rendering one tenth of it or how much your tithe is, it is all about individual givers belief, sacrifice, and faith that for which you have given so shall you receive the favour of God in any way (either financail growth, promotions, blessings, longlive, good health,security, shelter, food, and etc) as God did promised in His words in Malachi 3:10 not minding whether the tithe you rendered to your church was been used for the purpose it is intended for. Some pastors and leaders of churches may divert this tithe for their selfish purposes but i tell you, they are only building the wrath of God upon themselves because they have stolen from God and shall be definitely punished by God in any way unless they repent of it. If i may ask, why do we complain of a tenth been given to God for all He has been providing for us while we pay as much as 25 per cent of our income, happily, as tax to our government who could not account for how the taxes are spent?

These additives are rare in Nigeria, but they are widely used in US, Europe, and etc.

Exactly what i am suspecting too because on some mazda 6 forums, some complaints with this issue had a system re-flash of their cars and it was solved. I would like to give a try of the system upgrade/ re-flash if it could be available in lagos. @ Nissparts; Please, do you have an idea where i can get a computer upgrade/ re-flash service done in lagos?

nissparts: HAVE A MECHANIC JACK UP THE FRONT OF THE CAR AND CHECK YOUR ENGINE/TRANSMISSION MOUNTS

@Nissparts: Was at the tranny/mech place today, checked the trans and engine mounts, all ok. Did a tranny and general engine scan for trouble codes, no codes found. All solenoids are ok, TCM is ok, PCM is ok too.
