is there a name that starts with "P"? I don't know of a name that starts with P. However, it's not only P that you can barely find a name that starts with it. Most Igbo names start with Igbo vowels (A E I Ị O Ọ U Ụ — called udaume) and a few consonants (mgbochiume) like CH, GB, M, N, NW etc. M and N are sometimes used like vowels (when they are the first letters of some words or names — called "myiriudaume" ) . It's hard to see any Igbo name that starts with B, F, R, V, W, Z etc. |

Grandmeister: They do..according to NEWMAP survey, Anambra has the most erosion sites in the entire south east..Yes the soils are prone to gully erosions but the moribund (or lack of) drainage systems, deforestation and poor planning are the root cause..take umuahia for example, the drainages built in the late 80s to early 90s are still being used....the problem is that population and high rise buildings has increased so those drainages can't accommodate the amount of run-off coming from those buildings. You mentioned Umuahia as if Onitsha and Awka are ravaged by erosions. My point is that the worst erosion sites in Anambra are in rural and semi-urban areas, and no state in Nigeria has good drainage system in their rural areas. This shows you that it isn't just about drainage and town planning. |

Grandmeister: You just answered the question...town planning! It wasn't like this decades ago..but the substantial rise in 3 to 4 storey buildings in the east with little regards to planning, even the town planning bodies by the government no longer do their jobs effectively...some of those areas were originally planned to have certain number of houses and the stipulated heights of houses....the run-off from those high buildings is a constant danger to the soil...I've worked in various NEWMAP projects in the east and this is the number one cause of erosions...deforestation is another angle. The largest erosion site in Anambra (infact Nigeria) is at Agulu and Nanka. These are not typical urban areas and they don't have many high-rise buildings. These erosions have also been there for decades. It's the ease of circulation of news on SM that makes it seem like it's getting worse. Onitsha and Nkpor have the highest concentration of high rise buildings in Anambra, but I'm not sure if they have any erosion sites. |

CelestineNelson: I think that is as a result of poor town planning, poor irrigation/ drainage systems, the environmental control bodies of the state should look into that... It's none of the things you mentioned. If it's about town planning, why has erosion not overtaken most of the rural communities in all the geopolitical zones in Nigeria? How many rural communities have good town planning? The main cause of erosion in the South East is simply the nature of the soil. Surface runoff can easily create a gulley overnight in the South East especially Anambra. |

Sports › Re: Best Eleven Players Mikel Has Played With Over The Course Of His Career? by Kennydoc(m): 8:35pm On May 11, 2020 |
robosky02: Picking a Dream Team of John Obi Mikel's teammate NIGERIA Who are the best players the former Chelsea man has played with over the course of his career?
Petr Cech (Goalkeeper) It was a tough call leaving out Nigeria's legendary goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, but Cech was never going to miss out here!
Mikel and the former Czech Republic shot-stopper played together between 2006 and 2015, winning multiple Premier League titles, FA Cups, League Cups and the Champions League in 2012.
In addition, the pair also won the Europa League in 2013 which completed their sweep of Europe's primary and secondary club competitions.
Branislav Ivanovic (Right-back) The powerful Serb was one of the Premier League's top defenders during Mikel's time in West London and was named in the PFA Team of the Year in 2010 and 2015.
'Bane', a Chelsea player from 2007 till January 2017, won several important titles in that time with the Nigeria midfielder.
It was Ivanovic's header that decided the 2013 Europa League final against Benfica, a win that saw the Blues become one of a select few to win the Champions League, Europa League/Uefa Cup and the defunct Cup Winners Cup.
Success also meant they'd won the continent's premier club competition and its secondary version in successive seasons, the second club to do so, and they became the first side to hold both titles too (until Bayern Munich won the CL days later on May 25 2013).
Ashley Cole (Left-back) England and Chelsea's primary left-back for years, Cole was one of the best in the business for a decade or thereabouts.
The marauding full-back, like Mikel, joined the club after a protracted saga but wasn't deterred by the criticism and continued his success.
The pair won the league in 09/10, both European titles in 2012 and 2013, as well as four FA Cup titles, which outright made Cole the most decorated player in football's oldest cup competition with seven wins.
John Terry (Centre-back) We were certainly not going to leave out Chelsea's dedicated captain and leader during Mikel's time in West London.
Terry bled blue and gave his all for the club for nearly two decades, winning a plethora of titles along the way to become the club's most decorated captain.
During the Nigerian's time at the club, the Englishman was named in the PFA Team of the Year in 14/15, Fifa FifPro World XI thrice, Uefa XI on three occasions, and was voted the best defender on the continent twice.
Joseph Yobo (Centre-back) One of the members of Nigeria's 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winning side, Yobo was arguably the Super Eagles' most dependable performer in the 2000s and early 2010s.
The defender captained the West African nation to success in South Africa, ending their 19-year wait for the continent's most glamorous title.
While Yobo's gametime was limited, his all-round influence proved useful to Stephen Keshi's troops.
Claude Makelele (Defensive midfield) While the attempt to create another Makelele compromised the Nigerian's career, the Frenchman features in this XI owing to his influence in Chelsea's dominance in the mid-2000s.
Having the anchorman role named after him highlighted his unrivalled understanding of the position. Mikel played with the 2002 Champions League-winner for two seasons which produced two domestic cup victories.
The Super Eagle's performance in the 1-0 FA Cup success was noteworthy as it signalled a changing of the guard at the base of the Blues' midfield. Wilfred Ndidi (Central midfield) Leicester City's uncompromising midfielder couldn't displace Makelele at the base of the midfield, but features alongside the iconic Frenchman in midfield.
In recent years, the Nigerian has grown from ball winner to all-action midfield man, owing to his growth since moving to England.
Ndidi featured alongside Mikel in the Nigeria side that qualified fairly easily for the 2018 World Cup and Afcon 2019, a welcome development after years of last-minute panic and permutations for fans of the West African nation.
Michael Essien (Central midfield) Essien's dynamism in Chelsea's midfield in the mid-to-late 2000s was a joy to behold.
The Ghana star was one of the best in his pomp and was arguably the best box-to-box midfielders in world football at the time.
He and Mikel were teammates between 2006 and 2014, a successful period for the London side which peaked with their 2012 Champions League triumph.
Frank Lampard (Attacking midfield) Chelsea's top scorer revolutionised how goalscoring midfielders were perceived, and his timely runs into the box became his trademark.
Lampard was hugely helped by water carriers like Makelele, Mikel and Essien, who acted as the foil to let him flourish in the final third.
Mikel and the Blues legend played side-by-side in Chelsea's greatest night where they won the Champions League against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
Eden Hazard (Attacking midfield) Leaving out Juan Mata was a tough call, but there had to be a place for the magnificent Belgian who has been Chelsea's most talented signing since Gianfranco Zola.
In West London, Hazard became one of the best players in Europe, constantly mesmerising the opposition with his skill and matched that with the required end product as well.
The ex-Lille man was named in the PFA Team of the Year in his first campaign and followed that up to be voted PFA Young Player of the Season the next season.
Unsurprisingly, the playmaker was outright best in the league in Chelsea's 14/15 title win, as the Blues won their first title since 2010.
Didier Drogba (Centre-forward) Sorry Diego Costa, but we were never going to leave out the talismanic Drogba, Chelsea's ultimate big-game player.
In truth, many of the titles Mikel won in West London could be attributed to the Ivorian forward's goals.
Drogba had an uncanny knack for scoring hugely important goals to swing tight matches in his side's favour, with the 2007 FA Cup final strike against Manchester United and 2012 victory over Bayern particularly noteworthy.

It's the best option. Untreated malaria will kill, and the person will be recorded among covid19 deads.
That is why NCDC removed hydroxylchloroquine as a treatments drug, so that malaria fatality will recorded as covid19 fatality. Evil people. Some of you enjoy making unfounded statements and I wonder why. The article below is from Medscape. https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/928798?src=wnl_tp10n_200508_mscpedit&uac=194912BJ&impID=2373560&faf=1No Hydroxychloroquine Benefit in Small, Randomized COVID-19 Trial Marcia Frellick April 16, 2020 Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) does not help clear the SARS-CoV-2 virus or relieve symptoms for COVID-19 patients more than standard care alone and has more side effects, a randomized controlled trial of 150 hospitalized adults in China suggests. However, two experts caution that because of confounding, the trial is unable to answer convincingly the question of whether HCQ can benefit COVID-19 patients. Wei Tang, with the Departments of Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine at Ruijin Hospital, in Shanghai, China, and colleagues enrolled patients with COVID-19 from 16 treatment centers in China in February. They posted their findings on the medRxiv preprint server, but their paper has not been peer reviewed. A coauthor told Medscape Medical News the work has been submitted to a journal. The overall 28-day negative conversion rate of SARS-CoV-2, which was the primary endpoint, was similar in the two 75-patient treatment groups. The Kaplan-Meier estimate for negative conversion rate was 85.4% in the HCQ plus standard of care (SOC) arm, vs 81.3% in the SOC-only group (P = .341). Negative conversion rates for the two groups were similar at days 4, 7, 10, 14, and 21. Adverse events were reported in 8.8% of patients in the control group compared with 30% in the HCQ group. Diarrhea was the most common side effect, occurring in 10% of patients in the HCQ group vs none in the control group. Two patients in the HCQ arm had serious adverse events; one experienced disease progression, and the other experienced upper respiratory tract infection. Patients in the HCQ group received a high loading dose of 1200 mg daily for 3 days followed by a maintenance dose of 800 mg daily for the remaining days. Total duration was 2 weeks for patients with mild or moderate disease and 3 weeks for those with severe disease. No Difference in Relief of Symptoms The two arms were similar in alleviation of symptoms by day 28: 59.9% with HCQ plus SOC vs 66.6% with SOC alone. However, the researchers said that in a post hoc analysis, they found a significant reduction of symptoms after adjusting for the confounding effects of antiviral agents (hazard ratio, 8.83; 95% confidence interval, 1.09 – 71.3). In addition, Tang and colleagues report a significantly greater reduction of C-reactive protein (CRP), a biomarker for inflammation, from baseline to day 28 in the HCQ group in comparison with the control group (6.986 vs 2.723 mg/L). The authors suggest the alleviation of symptoms may come from HCQ's anti-inflammatory effects. The mean age of the patients was 46 years, and 55% were male. Almost all patients had mild or moderate disease; two had severe disease. Experts Say Study Arms May Not Have Been Comparable J. Michelle Kahlenberg, MD, PhD, research professor of rheumatology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, told Medscape Medical News that it's important to note that in the post hoc analysis, 89% of the patients in this trial were receiving other therapy in addition to HCQ. "When [the researchers] say they saw improvement in symptoms when they removed the confounders, what they actually did was remove the patients from the analysis that got antivirals, and that left 14 patients in each arm," Kahlenberg said. Moreover, Kahlenberg noted, 20% of patients who received HCQ had mild symptoms, whereas only 9% of those in the SOC group did. "We don't know how those patients played out in the post hoc analysis — whether it was the patients who were really mild that didn't get the antivirals that were left in the hydroxychloroquine group and that's why they had a slightly faster resolution of symptoms," she said. She said that in this study, the researchers calculated CRP in milligrams per liter, whereas in the United States, it is measured in milligrams per deciliter. The conversion highlights the fact that the reduction in CRP was not terribly noteworthy, she said. "The patients with COVID who tend to tank and have cytokine storms ― their CRP is much higher," she said. "So the small improvement in CRP wasn't that exciting. "I don't think this gets us anywhere closer to an answer. It's another muddy study," she said. Similarly, Christopher V. Plowe, MD, MPH, director of the Global Health Institute at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, told Medscape Medical News he sees no convincing answers in this study. Plowe, professor of medicine, molecular genetics, microbiology, and global health at Duke, also noted differences between the two groups at enrollment. For example, the HCQ group had more than three times the number of patients with shortness of breath (22.1% vs 5.9%); more with sputum production (16.2 vs 5.9%); and more with cough (51.5% vs 38.2%). In addition, the average age was 4 years higher in the HCQ group. "It makes me wonder whether the randomization was truly random," Plowe said. Plowe also questioned the authors' statement that they didn't see cardiac arrhythmia events, such as prolonged QT intervals. "I can't see any evidence that they did an EKG on anybody," he said. "This study leaves the door open to the possibility that hydroxychloroquine may have a clinical benefit. If there is a benefit, it seems to be related to the drug's anti-inflammatory properties. If that's the case, I'm not sure this particular drug, as opposed to others, would be the way to go," Plowe said. Mixed Results in Other Studies "Our negative results on the anti-viral efficacy of HCQ obtained in this trial are on the contrary to the encouraging in-vitro results and to the recently reported promising results from a non-randomized trial with 36 COVID-19 patients," the authors write. However, the 36-patient trial to which they refer has since been called into question, as previously reported by Retraction Watch. Despite lack of clear evidence of benefit, HCQ is recommended off label for the treatment of COVID-19 by the Chinese National guideline, and the US Food and Drug Administration has issued an emergency-use authorization for the treatment of adult patients with COVID-19. By contrast, the Infectious Diseases Society of America recently concluded that because of insufficient data, they could not recommend any particular treatment for patients with COVID-19. The work was supported by the Emergent Projects of National Science and Technology; the National Natural Science Foundation of China; the National Key Research and Development Program of China; the Shanghai Municipal Key Clinical Specialty; the National Innovative Research Team of High-Level Local Universities in Shanghai; the Shanghai Key Discipline for Respiratory Diseases; the National Major Scientific and Technological Special Project for Significant New Drugs Development; and Key Projects in the National Science and Technology Pillar Program. The Truth is, most homeless People in Naija seem claiming to be positive, simply to be isolated and enjoying free daily square meals.
Like you said, how would Patients, who ordinarily ought to be begging for Ventilators to survive, are protesting with healthy Energy?! How can you be making an assumption and calling it the truth? Like seriously? So you think people get isolated because they claim they are positive? Isolation in Nigeria is only done after people have a positive test result, and NCDC has records of such people. Even if homeless people are going to be isolated, they must still test positive before that. Over 80% of people who test positive to COVID-19 only have mild symptoms. It's only less than 10% who need ventilators. The kind of COVID-19 positive patients who protest in Nigeria are people with either no symptoms or with such symptoms that if they were in developed countries, they would be asked to self-isolate in their respective homes. The reason why NCDC self-isolates every positive case is because the living conditions of most of those people will make it impossible for them not to spread it further if they are asked to self-isolate at home. |

To cut the past lost story short.. we started talking we exchange contact and weeks later we started dating... Later she came over to the apartment whey I rented, I could tell her reaction she does not like the place (it single room thou )
Months later our relationship became so close that people started noticing in the office, exactly August they paidsalary and to my surprise, as we were going home together she gave me her August salary asked me to add some few bucks to it I should move out of the one-room apartment am staying saying she doesn't want me sharing toilet and bathroom...
Like I was wow. To be very honest that night I was so happy to the extent I had to cut all my spouse contact off and focus on only her... Like that night I vowed not to cheat on her ever...
So I finished my NYSC in Abuja and luckily my PDTF scholarship application was successful I was preparing to move over to Greece for my masters...
I and Gracey parted ways but we still dating, we call each other text each other... Months later I started sending money to grace for our building project, all the money I sent was around £125,500+ (54,233,804.62 nairas)
During this process, grace sends me pictures of the land she brought and how the construction is going on.....
To round up this painful crab only for me to come back home to meet my wife, married with a kid...
I arrested her and all she could say was "she thought I was just joking with her" that she never thought I still love her... Out of 54m, she could only recover 2.5m...
I was hospitalized for two weeks then... I sort I almost died the shock and trauma almost killed me... But thank God later I just have to return to Greece and start all over again... But what she did then is still the reason why am single today...
The truth sef is I insult any Nigerian girls I see in Greece... Nigerian girls in Greece are all lonely so anyone of then that comes across Nigeria guys is always waiting to be loved but I can't stop hating them...
The trauma still lives.. You went to Greece to do your masters and you were able to send £125k to your girlfriend in Nigeria after a few months/years. 1. Even if you were playing football part time in Greece, you wouldn't earn that amount in such a short duration. 2. How come you sent Pounds instead of Euro? Were you making Pounds in Greece? 3. Who will be stupid enough to commit £125k to a stranger to expend on a project he hasn't seen? Even an ímbecile won't do that. How much was flight ticket from Greece to Nigeria that you couldn't travel down to see what was going on, after sending the first few thousands of Pounds? In Summary, you are a cheap liar! |

seanjy4konji: we never see OnE picture for Nigeria..
Not one..just audio numbers.
I will say it again...not for once has an ICU been shown with our nurses or doctors taking care of the patients visible in it..we have not even seen a doctr being interviewed and tell us about the patients they are treating or the things they are lacking..
No testing is being done, once you just fall aickzthwn they say they have isolated him, where are they isolating them?no pictures of them even driving them in and stretching hwm in...
I just tire for this Nigeria self. I know 2 Christian doctors working in UBTH and Akwa Ibom isolation centres. These are people I know personally and they are honourable to the letter. Let me ask you a question. How do you think all the countries close to Nigeria will have hundreds of COVID-19 cases but Nigeria will have none? Does it make any sense to you? |

TheEffective:

Giving a poor what is rightfully hers is no miracle, no blessings. It is ignorance of good governance that makes makes a poor recieve with thanks what is rightfully theirs.
If we continue on this path, governance will be a privilege. I have seen great and working societies in my life but I have never seen this level of wickedness and ingenuity in Nigeria's governance.
For decades since independence, nigeria has always had this tendency and outlook to be great but never was and may never be. I must be truthful to you. The tendons and ligaments of society has been torn in shreds it will take more than 50years of work to upgrade the country.
Like Isreal in wilderness, a generation never entered the promise land. Your generation may not see a great Nigeria Even in the richest country in the World, there are homeless people. This is despite the fact that they have a sensible government. Getting a free home from the government is not anybody's right in the developing world. Even in the developed world, it depends on the country in question. |

GamalNasser: This virus has cure and with time everyone one will develop herd immunity with or without a vaccine , we don't want any vaccine from bill gates , it's not his duty to force his own RNA vaccine on us , I will rather another group in Sweden makes the vaccine than that RNA vaccine Gates is taking about ...Bill gates is an evil man trust me ..Ask him why he has been preparing for this pandemic for over 10years so much he had set up structures and taken patents to protect his RNA vaccine , if he is good man why is patenting the RNA type vaccine With time everybody will develop immunity? Do you know how many people will have to die for that to happen? If the virus is allowed to run through Nigeria and ends up infecting half of the population, at 3% mortality, about 3 million Nigerians will have to die ultimately. Is that what you want? You see, the choice people have to make now is the choice of either getting infected in the long run or getting a vaccine. There is no middle ground, as this virus isn't going to disappear anytime soon. Without vaccines, the World cannot get back to how it used to be anytime soon. There are many vaccine projects ongoing now. About 7 or more COVID-19 vaccines are being trialled now, including the ones developed in the UK, China, Germany etc. Bill Gates has no hand in them. There are also many other vaccine projects ongoing. It's not about Bill Gates. He himself wants the world to get back to normal as soon as possible so that he can keep making his money and doing other things he loves doing. |
