The hatred for Buhari isn't simply because he's a northerner. It's because he's very ethnocentric and bigoted. Yar' Adua was a Fulani too, but Igbos and indeed the entire Nigeria loved him.

Ask yourself, how would you feel about Buhari if your tribe was disregarded the way Buhari has dealt with Igbos? Consider all his appointments so far from the beginning of his tenure. Come on!

What has Buhari really achieved for Nigeria? He came in with a government that promised Nigerians a change of the status quo, but he has not only continued with the status quo, but worsened things.

And for the idiots who are pissed at Buhari , chanting nonsense up and down, you didn't see the part where the news confirmed investigations began in 2016 or even before ? If not for immunity , he'd have had his day in court, But then again , all criminal elements have one thing in common , PDP Party , that's where they find comfort
Which investigations have they done on Amaechi? Amaechi funded Buhari's presidency almost single handedly. Do you know how many billion naira he defrauded Rivers State Government of? A panel set up in Rivers has indicted him. Petitions have been written to EFCC yet they bluntly refused to take up the case, since 2015.
What point are you really making?

What's the point posting random Twitter statistics on the FP? A couple of those statistics are based on weird indices that have no credibility. From those tables, Ogun apparently has more internet users than Lagos (good joke). Anambra apparently has about the same level of IGR per capita as Ogun even though Ogun's annual figures have consistently far outpaced Anambra (this can only make sense if Ogun is far more populated than Anambra which is false). Osun and Ekiti apparently have the 2nd and 4th lowest poverty indices in the country.
Who creates the data?
Exactly, the whole stats is pure rubbish.

Anambra should become a country joor. We can survive alone. cheesy

But really, Igbos have an excellent spirit. Nigeria is really crippling us. We would have achieved much more if not for the limitation Nigeria has placed on us through the instrumentality of the North.
My point isn't really because of the immunization stuff alone, but based on the numerous exploits emanating from Igbo land on a daily basis.

Juliusmalema:
The second question: Are Anioma people Igbos?
There have been several debates about the true origin of the Anioma people and the language they speak. There is a strong belief that the Anioma people are Igbos and that they speak Igbo language. To keep the record straight, the Anioma people are not Igbos and they do not speak Igbo language. The Anioma people speak, "Enuani, Ika and Ukwuani languages". We are proud of our identity; our identity is our pride, strength and unifying factor. Our Anioma attire (Akwa Anioma) is recognized anywhere in the world. There may be similarities in some Anioma and Igbo names: such as Chukwuma, Chukwuka, Chukwudi, Ngozi, Udoka, among other names that have the same spellings, pronunciations and meanings like that of the Igbos but, the fact remains that we are not Igbos. We may also have some similarities in language that does not make us Igbo people.
The Aniocha and Oshimili though are closer to the Anambra people cannot be referred to as Igbo people. The same could be said of Owa people in Ika North East Local Government whose ancestral home is believed to be Nri, in Anambra State. The Ndokwa and Ukwuani areas are a mix of different peoples, some with a strong claim to Benin ancestry while others claim to different origin. The Abohs and some clans in the region claimed to have left Benin in the 16th century or earlier in the same wave of migration that established most of the Igbo speaking towns West of the Niger and even Onitcha in the East. Some sections of the Abohs believed that they are direct descendants of people from Benin while others look across the Niger into the Igbo hinterland as their origin, yet some even look far up the Niger, Igala as their ancestral home. The founder of Abbi, in Ndokwa West Local Government for instance, Amaha, the elders of Abbi are not sure of the location of his town but, it is believed to be in Eastern Nigeria. The Dein of Agbor Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Dr. Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekuzi I, in one of his recent meetings with his subjects at his palace called on them to stop promoting Igbo culture. He further advised that the Igbo red cap should also be dropped as it is not a native cap for Agbor Kingdom. The revered monarch's statement clearly gave credence to the fact that the Agbor people share the same ancestral history with the Benin people and not the Igbo people.
The third question: How do we promote and sustain our rich, diverse and unique cultural heritage?
We are proud of our heritage, history and background. We are unique people in the world. We should encourage those things that will help promote us culturally and also, cement our unity. We should learn how to project Anioma in whatever we do. The names of our children should always reflect our Anioma identity. Our Anioma traditional rulers should give more relevance to our festivals. The histories of the various Kingdoms in Anioma should be taught in schools. Above all, as Anioma people we should not allow our language to go into extinction. We should be teaching our children how to speak our native language in our various homes. Anioma is our land, our strength, our pride and center of unity. We should therefore, imbibe the character of showcasing and promoting the Anioma course anywhere we are in the world.
In promoting Anioma course, we should respect one another. There is strength in unity, as the saying goes; “united we stand, divided we fall”. We should not discriminate or quarrel among ourselves as we project this great course of Anioma nation. The Aniocha/
Oshimili man, the Ndokwa/Ukwuani man, and the Ika man, should see themselves as one. It is only when we work in one accord and in synergy that we will be able to achieve maximum result. Anioma is our home, we have no other place, hence, it is very necessary for us to stay united and build it to an enviable height. A height where even development could easily be achieved and a height where investors will be willing and ready to invest without any fear of insecurity.
In conclusion, we are Anioma people not Igbo people. We should be proud of our cultural heritage and background. I must say a big thank you to the National President and the entire members of Anioma Association, USA for the selfless works you are doing to move Anioma nation forward. I call on all Anioma sons and daughters in the United States of America to identify with this association for the overall benefit of all Anioma people. I am also using this medium to appeal to other Anioma associations or groups in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa to join efforts with Anioma Association, USA to build a better Anioma nation that we all will be proud of. Finally, please let us have a standing ovation for the Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Senator (Dr.) Ifeanye Okowa for the good work he is doing in pushing Delta State forward in terms of infrastructural development and say welcome to Chicago, Illinois.
Once again thank you all and God bless.
Dr. Chukwuma O. Nwaonicha.
You can see the efforts exerted at uniting people with different origins into a pseudo-ethnicity that cannot work. This article clearly identified that some of the Anioma people are from Igbo land originally. How do you want them not to connect to their Igbo origin?
The truth is that most of the Deltan communities close to the Niger migrated from the East of the Niger. They have Igbo roots, they have Igbo blood, and you cannot deny them their Igboness.

u don't tell me what I know more than u.....anioma are not igbos biko.
Oga, you can't speak for all Anioma people. Like I pointed out earlier, Ika and Ukwuani all believe they are not Igbos. Their language is not even typically Igbo, but more like a hybrid of Igbo and Edo. Aniocha people mostly claim they are not Igbos, especially the parts of Aniocha close to Ika. In Oshimili, a good number of the people accept they are Igbos. It depends on the part of Anioma one is from.
As I said before, Anioma is not the name of a tribe. It's a term for a related people group that have similar language (like Igbo Language) living close together in Delta State.

Bros, there is no ethnic group in Nigeria called Anioma. Anioma is simply a name coined from the first letters of the 4 local government groups that make up the Igbo speaking part of Delta State and also Delta North Senatorial District.
ANIO-MA
A - Aniocha (North and South)
N - Ndokwa (East and West) + Ukwuani
I - Ika (North-East and South)
O - Oshimili (North and South)
While Ukwuani (Ukwuani and Ndokwa LGAs) and Ika people comfortably claim they are not Igbo, an Oshimili man claiming he's not Igbo is only deceiving himself.

2. They are at loggerheads with their respective state's CEO.

I've put this question to the hailers on many occasions but they stylishly dodge the question and hope the impending issues the primaries will generate one jinee will come & use magic to clear it...

The important thing is that they will work against Bubu in the next general elections. However the party excos resolve it is not my business.
BTW, the PDP guys in question, what would have been their fate if the defectors didn't defect? There's no way PDP would win any seat in Kwara if Saraki and his stooge governor don't defect. So for the guys that have remained in PDP all the while, without the defections, they stand no chance if winning the elections.

Those cities are where most of the so called developed areas get taxes from

Know single city stands on its own , they are all Nigerians

It will also help in rural urban migration

They will also feel the sense of belonging

The list is endless

Mr economist
Sarrki, can you please learn the difference between 'no' and 'know'? They have the same pronunciation but different spellings and meanings. Please do my eyes a favour and stop writing 'know' in place of 'no'. Thank you.

Talking about the rail line, it has nothing to do agriculture, at all. It was initiated so that it could be used to move steel from Ajaokuta steel plant to Warri Seaport, for exportation. Now that Ajaokuta steel plant hasn't come alive, the rail line can serve other purposes including mass movement of people.
I'm sure soon enough, a rail line will be built from Abuja to Ajaokuta which will join this one, then it will make transport from the South South and South East to the North a lot easier.

There is no Oyo state university. Osun was created out of Oyo state and they started sharing uni since then. It was an advantage to have 2 sponsors but splitting it won't do anyone any good.
The reason why I put "part of" in bracket is because I wasn't sure if Oyo State had a stated owned university.

You see, when ownership of businesses is joint, risk of failure is much higher. That's why most musical collabo groups usually fail at some point. There will always be misunderstandings which will affect the business. That's even for private ventures. How much more when 2 different governments are managing one institution IN NIGERIA. Failure is almost certain.

Let me tell you how it has happened in other states in the past. When the old Anambra State was divided into Anambra and Enugu states, the Anambra campus of the then Anambra State University remained Anambra State University which was shortly taken over by the Federal Government and it became Nnamdi Azikiwe University. The Enugu campus became Enugu State University of Technology till today.
A smiliar thing happened when Ebonyi State was created from Enugu and Abia. The Ebonyi campus of ESUT became Ebonyi State University.
This is exactly what Osun and Oyo States would have done. It would have saved LAUTECH of this recurrent and endless mess.

All state in Nigeria look up to FG for free oil money and the allocation coming in has to cover many things, I suggest it remains a university of technology to moderate their operation and funding requirement and they should settle their differences amicably.
Osun and Oyo should share admission slots according to the percentage of funds they contribute.
To me, it is a choice between quality and quantity.
Why can't the Osun Campus be collapsed into Osun State University and the Oyo Campus become (part of) Oyo State University?

Flooding is a common occurrence during the raining season everywhere and there are peculiar human factors causing the flood in every place where it had occur.

South West has its own, and that is dumping of refuse along the water channel.

Every zone I've been to in Nigeria, South East seems to show less concern to drainage when building their house, most especially Abia State that I worked in. And still considering the high soil erodibility of the soil in the east which is a great contributor to erosion and later flooding.

I'm not trying to be tribalistic here, or political zone interested.
You have a point.

However, the kind of flooding that happens in Onitsha is different from that of Lagos. Onitsha is (on a mini slope) by the bank of the Niger, and that's why the flood water moving down to the Niger easily causes a lot of damage (including carrying humans and vehicles) whenever there are heavy rains. It's not really about the unavailability of drains, cos some of those cases of flood sweeping away people and cars happen beside the massive drains by the Niger Bridge Expressway and in other parts of the town.

I think more of those large calibre drains need to be built and if possible, they should go underground. It will take a lot of engineering expertise to sort it out, but it can be done. If cities like London, Moscow, Paris, even ordinary Glasgow have underground rail services (tubes), why can't there be underground (massive) drains in Onitsha?

The biggest issue with APC is Buhari and his administrative mindset. If someone like Tambuwal was the president under APC, Nigerians would have been happier. Buhari is not a nationalist. He's extremely nepotistic. Even if Nigerians will clamour for APC again in the next 4 years, as long as it isn't people like Buhari, Elrufai, Oshiomhole etc, it's better.

As for PDP, if they ever get back to power again, they will never try their impunity of the past years again, neither will they try to repeat the errors of APC. PDP has a good representation of Igbos and South southerners in it, so they are much more reasonable and are fairer in their dealings.

Asians may be healthier and all that, but still doesn't change the fact that Europeans are healthier than Nigerians. Asains are generally more fit, eat more healthy meals (they are more inclined towards herbs and vegetarian diet), so it isn't surprising why they are healthier.

I knew the bible verse I just wanted to see how you will quote it.. In 34-35 it's says" blessing was upon them all. There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need."

You see, your pastors only use what favors them. They always stop where they brought it to the apostles feet and they ignore the part where they shared it amongst those in needs.

Now after your pastors collect the money from both rich and poor who did they share it with? And according to that passage it wasn't written there that the apostles took out of it but it was shared amongst the needy.

This is what Daddy freeze, Sunday Adelaja are talking about that's why they keep attacking those pastors. But you people will rather follow your GOs than follow what the bible says.

So please understand your bible well, your pastors are to collect the money and distribute everything amongs the poor.
If the early believers gave out all their money (100%), and everything was shared to the needy, what stops you from still giving to those in need around you (from the 90% that remains) after giving the 10% to the Church?

Freeze is hammering on the 10% Church members give to the church, how is he giving out his own money to the needy (since he believes the pastors aren't doing that again)? What philanthropic works has Freeze ever done? How has he used his popularity to set up structures to help in feeding the poor?
What has Pastor Sunday Adelaja done to help the needy with his own resources?

Have you ever heard any of these guys take time to teach and motivate the general public on the importance of helping the needy? What tangible moves are they making to see that believers use their funds to help their neighbours?
You see, their annoyance is that Pastors are benefitting not that the poor aren't being cared for? Freeze cares nothing about any poor person. He's only bitter because some pastors are living big.

Talking about the pastors, the truth is that there is no way you will know what they do with the funds really. Many of them don't announce their charitable works. Moreover, it's mainly from those tithes that salaries of pastors and church staff are paid, the day to day running of the churches including events, programmes, maintenance of the church etc. Believe me, a lot of finances goes into the running of churches.

Most of these big pastors don't even depend on Church money. They have raised top guys in big businesses and top positions who derive joy in sowing to them. The real people that make pastors rich aren't the poor people in the church. Most of those poor people don't give and don't even pay their tithes. It's men and women who have been groomed spiritually by those pastors, have made money and they see those pastors as mentors. Oh, let me remind you that big men like Tony Elumelu, Jim Ovia, Peter Obi etc have pastors they meet in secret for prayers and counsel, and they sow heavily to those men of God.

The same thing MMM victims said!
They are not the same at all.
MMM exploited the natural greed in Nigerians. People gave out their money in MMM simply because they were sure they would make 30% profit in a month. Even those who didn't believe initially saw it happen to their friends and they bowed over time. Apart from those who joined immediately before it failed, the participants earned benefits monthly, which motivated them to put in more money.

When it comes to tithing and sowing seeds, it a different thing altogether. Many do it out of sacrifice. Some don't even have a specific need in mind. Even those who give hoping to get back in multiple fold, they know there isn't any naturally proven pathway of receiving back. It's just a function of faith not a natural certainty, and that's why most Christians don't sow seeds.

As for me, I follow the leading of The Holy Spirit in me when it comes to giving, and that's what every Christian should learn to do. When you allow The Holy Spirit lead you in that regard, you can never regret your decisions. This also applies to every other aspect of life.
