Going through the thread and I noticed a lot of people are almost behind schedule or are behind already.
Do not fret. The simple solution is to write a detailed official mail to your school with your faculty dean and international admission in the copy of the mail. When I say detailed, I mean a really comprehensive write up containing reasons why you can’t meet the deadline and possibly time you will arrive along with other gist to cement your case. Do not send a causal mail, you will not even get response. Don’t send mails like you are begging for help, make it very official.
This might not work for everyone but it will definitely work for some. |

Guys I have been in the uk for just 2weeks and I can tell you that you really need to be prepared financially and emotionally. This student japa route is not for the weak. It’s not cheap and it’s not an easy journey.
This might be to the guys/gals still seeking admission or has offers already. Please before you accept that offer that has a deposit of 1k or 2k read the terms and conditions very well, understand what happens after the 2k deposit. Wether you would require further deposit before enrolment . Understand the payment plan options and all.
I was in my wife’s school on Wednesday to finalise her deposit payment as we had tried using the FormA and it was delaying, deadline was on the 8th of February, wrote several mails to the school and at some point one of the finance team replied by just giving a day extension till 9th of February. I had to transfer money to lemonade app to convert to Pounds then transfer to my uk account and pay with my card.? Now for enrolment after payment. I asked her to go to the school physically for the enrolment instead of waiting for the mail. She got to the school and she was asked to go and defer as she paid after the deadline, we produced the mail of the extension till 9th feb and they started arguing with themselves that who authorised the mail and all. The lady that sent the mail just sent us the mail thinking we would not be able to still make the payment but at last it was the mail that made them enrol her after so much up and down from like 10am till like 4.30 when they were closing. A Cameroonian was there too with same issue and he was asked to go and defer.
I spoke extensively with one of the admissions staff and she told me first hand that lots of international students especially Nigerians are already having issues with school fees payment and course work reason why they and other schools are taking hard measures to prevent further reoccurrence. That the school will soon increase it’s required deposit and reduce its timeline to enable them get real and capable students . She said lots of students are already been report to UKVI and might get their visas revoked if not careful.
With this guys please let’s us not see this educational route as sure japa means of we have not planned financially and otherwise. It’s not cheap to survive here. Another thing is that be sure that 20hrs work can never pay for your tuition balance.
Some people are already even before one year turning to illegal immigrants. Please I beg let us be guided and have a proper plan from Nigeria. This land is a land of “Mind your business “ and “On your Own” . All man for himself. Na only your family fit help you here and it has limits.
Just say make I drop am o |

ufeedoh: So should I do day 2 only or day 2 and 8 I don’t want to be expected to take another round of vaccine You need to find a way to sort the cards out before you can be classified as fully vaccinated. Maybe snap the cards and barcode for someone to go back to the vaccination centre to correct it for you. You have to do both |

ufeedoh: Check that your vaccination card barcode is active , that’s how I and my husband got to the airport in Abuja to discover our vaccination card was something different. His had one vaccine recorded. Mine was not even coming up . Had to buy a day 2 and 8 Rest kit at the airport and fill a new locator form before Turkish airline let us board. On getting to the uk, no one asked for anything about covid from us. Now I don’t know if to do the day two test ordered earlier or day 2and 8 ordered at the airport…… They have relaxed on covid rules but please still complete the process |

LuchiBianca: These things are usually stated in the offer letter. Let's not shoot ourselves in this foot. I hope he sorts it out if not they will withdraw their sponsorship and report him to UKVI who will then deport him. This might be a case of “we go rough am” . We sometimes think that because some people got wavers or got the school to somehow enrol them without the 50% that you can do it also. Guys don’t try it o. Don’t just apply to any school because you want to japa fast. Take time and understand the school, understand how flexible they are with the finances, I was at DMU yesterday to sort out my wife’s fees and I can tell you for free that they don’t joke with their finances just like most schools. We have cases of people especially Nigerians not meeting up with the agreed payment plans with school and they are been reported to UKVI, main reasons why schools are not setting up strict measures for international students. Guys please let’s us plan the japa very well and not just rush it because everyone is going out fast. UK is not like Us were you can easily transit from an illegal status to a legal status. Please plan well |

@extraordinary78
Congrats to you for your success story.
But please note that every application is different. Only if you got NSF then you would understand. Your testimony about POF is ooo but not encouraging to for others to know. If you have been on this thread you will see people that have been denied because they removed their money from the account, also here people have shared mails shared with them from the bank from UKVI requesting them to confirm the genuineness of the statement and the balance of the account as at the date of request. We thank God that yours pulled through but please do not encourage people to practice this act. Every application is treated differently. Because your ECO used the point system for yours doesn’t mean the next person’s application will be treated the same. We have people that that have requested for an updated account statement to be sent through NFS mail, so if the person had removed the money what would be the case of the individual? . Because you scaled through doesn’t make it the right practice. And you forget that the pof can still be asked to be seen at the point of entry? Like you said the instructions are very clear on UKVI website. Then maybe you didn’t read it.
Guys please don’t risk your application |

I am about starting my application process to schools now.
I want to ask, how much can actually take someone from here to the uk to do his graduate program in any university in the uk?
Please reply. I also need if people can drop sample of the CVS and personal statement or letter of intent so as to know how I can start applying..
SECONDLY, Can one be a student and when he gets to uk, he applies and gets a job and switches from a tier 4 visa to tier 2 visa? Please reply How much you need depends on your school and city. You can’t change until you finish your studies |

LuchiBianca: Doesn't mean the bank will because they are only required by law to confirm genuinety of an account statement . Let me leave this topic so it doesn't seem I'm encouraging people to play fast with POF . You already signed that they are allowed to do it when you signed and submitted your application. |

Atk1nson: Did you mean you printed the POF before 28 days based on the advice of your agent? or the statement was falsified (in which case I will further ask how/who you got the statement from)?
I think your defense should be based on the genuineness of the error (if an error). if its is a clear case of fraud, its a hard fight
****
Just reading others comments: you messed up sha...if you could pay deposit, pay visa fees and IHS, you could have just spared a little extra to get this right. It’s a case of fraud. |
