gustav25:Hello Gustav25, Do you mean at the moment you don't have a job or you have never worked before? Before you choose a course, you need to consider if it is a career or academic progression. So, if not career progression, then you need to consider academic progression then. But it doesn't mean you can't do a career change. So with a well-detailed and explained Purpose of the study and Why the course, you're good to go. But even if you want to change course or career, you must show and prove to the VO that you have nursed the dream long ago by showing proof of what you have done and or doing that in line with the new course you want to go for. Again, when did you finish your first degree? |
Chechem:Hello Chemchem Sorry I will have to use question to answer your question. First, are all these sponsors related to you like parents, siblings or are they 3rd party sponsor's like aunt's, uncle's and friends. Now putting yourself as the VO, if you have your 3 siblings willing to sposnor you, it will be more convincing to the VO that your parents and or siblings are coming together to sponsor their child or sibling in education which can easily be believed and accepted. But when you have three 3rd party sponsors coming together to sponsor you, I will be frank with you, VO will see it as you have gone to gather funds for DEMONSTRATION PURPOSE. To even use a single 3rd party sponsor for an application is hard to prove not to talk of 3 third party sponsors. |
tosynn007:Yes. People have used sponsors based in abroad and submitted foreign statements of account. So you're free to do same. As NSE isn't functional again based of trends so far, you don't need to worry about MBS again. Just let your sposnor submit a valid and verifiable statement of account. |
Fash20:1) it depends on a alot of things. It can be tuition cost, the province of preference etc. I.T courses are almost done in every school in Canada, so Is yours to decide based on your capacity to afford the tuition or the province you prefer. But know it that tuition of schools in provinces like Ontario, British Columbia will be far higher than tuition of schools in places like Newfoundland, Saskatchewan, PEI etc. 2). Which application form? Be specific ok. |
Tcrown2020:What of your mum and siblings? Where are they? If your dad and step mum are already residents in Canada, then they can't serve as home tie to Nigeria. Unless your father is there on temporary basis, then you can hint on that to claim hometie back home. |
hdior:Hello hdior, After 24hrs, you will get email notification to proceed with your Biometrics bookings. |
Drezinc:In addition, I have seen a 62year old Brazilian get PPR for Masters |
sinorte:I was only countering him. All I said is, if your study is 2years and you have only 3months validity in your passport, then the validity of your counterfoil on your passport won't exceed the 3 months validity of your passport. That means if you're for fall term and you get your PPR around January and your passport will expire in April, and with the new IRCC rule cos of COVID-19 that you're only to come into Canada a month to your class resumption. Even if you like let your study be for 10years, your stamped visa won't exceed April meaning even before you will think of coming to Canada, your counterfoil (TRV) will expire. Mind you, what you have on your passport isnt your study permit, but just visa to enter the country which Means that you must enter Canada before your counterfoil expires.. So don't put yourself in tight corner. Always renew if you don't have enough validity on your passport |
dangervu:Hello Dangervu, the bolded is false. The can't stamp your passport beyond its expiration date. And not everyone gets 2 years validity stamped on their passports straight away. |
hazel222:Hello Hazel222, From the little I know, after completing B.A.(Hons) English, students can go for careers in media & advertising, writing & publishing, journalism, public relations, content writing, creative writing, teaching, and or in academia. So with properly written outlined PURPOSE OF VISIT and WHY PUBLIC RELATIONS, you're good to go. Lekiboboe, please Kindly do justice to this when you're online and help hazel. This is your specialty ![]() |
damilola1978:1USD= 411. as at transaction yesterday. But we know it fluctuates per second per second |
shogbenga:Hello shogbenga, Please who is your sposnor? But nevertheless, even if your sponsor is/are your parents, the will need to show that the have enough money to pay for your 2nd Tuition+10,000 living expenses and also prove that they have enough to care for your other siblings. Same goes to third party sponsor, he must prove that the money he/set aside for your studies won't be the same money he/she will use in taking care of his/her children. So in summary, depending on your Tuition, Sponsor needs to show enough fund for the 2nd year. That's tuition fee(for 2nd year) +10,000 living expenses. So calculate your tuition plus living expenses and convert it to naira. |
sinorte:No valid month of validity of passport to have for PPR. But note that your passport can't be stamped a counterfoil beyond the expiration of your passport. As such that's why one needs to have his/her passport validity way above the duration of his/her studies. For eg, if the validity of your passport is just 3 months and you used it to apply for visa without submitting a renewed one with longer validity, even if your study is 2yrs or more, the counterfoil on your passport will just have 3 months validity. But in some case, the IRCC sends msg for updated passport so that the fault won't be from them. So it is adviced that once the validity of your passport is just a year and below and your course is more than one year, Kindly renew and submit to them via webform and email before sending passport for stamping. |
saucekid50:People have used access Visa card and it worked. |
shogbenga:Hello shogbenga, As you have paid your full year tuition, you need to have living expenses and ancillary fees in your account plus show the VO how you intend to pay for the next year Tuition and living expenses. For the bolded above, permit me to laugh small lol. There is no timeframe to start withdrawing money as the money is expected to be for studies. So please to avoid withdrawing the money and tomorrow the VO requests for updated account statement, the best time to withdraw the money is after visa approval. Thanks |
kennyjoy:Is really sad, came online I saw phone numbers flying up and down and I thought nairaland is dashing free MB. I must say it, Is so unfortunate that of recent newbies and silent readers have started turning this beautiful platform upside down. Derailing from the principles the pioneers instituted that made this platform informative and educative. I don't blame the gurus (frankrobnn, justmellow, Lekiboboe, makano, Spectro, Liann20 to name but a few), they must have noticed all this and don't regularly come as they do before now ( though my observation). I still give it to Lianna20, makano and my able Google Lekiboboe, who are still doing their wonders here. Of recent, makano stoped giving free application assistance cos of this singular attitude. Sorry makano, when you decided to not do it free, I silently didn't support of it as I felt is better to give out free. But I'm so sorry to have not supported it, now I see better. This set no deserve am walahi. Just look at someone who just got PPR and is now forming guru and is dragging peeps to his group to teach them what he learnt here oo. And what even amazed me is that he said he got the info to support his application from here and people still are sending numbers to him when they could have still gotten the infos from here as well. Is obvious Nigerians don't like to get things free. They prefer when they are charged. No wonder agents are messing them up here and there. |
Goshen22:Hello Goshen22, As you know, many have applied with spouse and family and gotten approval and some have applied and got refused. It's all about grace. But then, we don't encourage applicants to put themselves in tight corner knowing fully well that coming from Nigeria alone, the VO's feel they applicants wants to Japa. That being said, when applying for study permit, the VO's even though they know that likely some students may not return, but they want you to show that you have ties to your home country that will warrant you coming back after your studies. And among those ties is FAMILY TIES. So I will advise that you use him or her as your family ties back home, then apply for SOWP or visiting Visa upon approval of your study permit. But then, if you feel you can convincingly convince the VO as to why you're going with spouse, then give it a trial. Grace differs. All the best |
Gennyoma19:Hello Gennyoma19, Kindly Renew it ASAP. Send to them via webform and mail. They will definitely take note of the new document send to them. So that once PPR lands, you will now send your renewed passport for stamping. All the best |
Jewel80:Hello Jewel80, Please where do you people get all this news and informations from biko? Did they ever stop issuing visa to 1 year program courses? Please whatever or wherever you heard that from, is all false. As a matter of fact, one just got her stamped passport delivered to her doorsteps yesterday. Her PPR was last week. Please kindly disregard such info ok |
Emilo:Hello Emilo, My opinion though: 1) I want to sponsor my wife for 2 years PGD at Norquest, Alberta. She has been giving full admission and we have paid for tuition deposit. She has a long gap in education and no work experience. We agreed to have kids and later she will continue with education which is now. She has OND in Accounting and the course at Norquest is Business Administration with majors in Accounting. What's our chances at PPR? Is the course at Norquest a PGD or Oridanry diploma? With just OND, if she goes for another OND or Diploma, it will not be seen as an academic progression because with the long gap in studies and no tangible work done, you're going to hinge on academic progression. So, I would say let her go for an advanced Diploma or PGD if that is possible to secure with an OND. But not that nothing is impossible with God. many have chosen courses below their previous course and still got PPR Again, age and study gap isn't an issue so long it can be justified that she wasn't just idle doing nothing throughout that long gap. Please never state in your SOP that you guys agree to have kids that's why the long gap. LOL As per chances, once you put in good application, provide solid proof to back up whatever thing you mentioned, then the rest is in Gods hand. 2) My younger brother in the US wants to support us with 10 million to add to what we have. I see from here that we need a gift deed to prove the fund source. How do we go about with that? Please gift deed isn't a document to use prove source of fund. To prove source of fund, if he is employed, he needs to show employment letter, payslips, ID. Also needs to attached saary account to back up the payslip. If is into business, Certificate of registration, Tax clearance certificate, waybills and reciepts of buying and selling etc All the best |
soccerpipe:Please I'll like to know if I can use an affidavit of sponsor to apply for a study visa in Canada if I don't have the money for POF? How do you mean to use an affidavit of a sponsor if you don't have POF? you can only use an affidavit of sponsorship if your application will be sponsored by another person and not you. Affidavit of sponsorship is not a POF Also, I saw online that I don't need to leave the money in my account for 6months before applying. If this is as regards Lump sum deposits, you don't need to leave it for 6 months. But with proper explanation and prove with documentation, you can even apply hours/days/weeks the money was sent to you or your sponsor |
Jioke1994:Do I need to pay to send my passport to Lagos? NO. since you did biometrics in Lagos and want to send it to Lagos, you won't pay any transmission fee. How will I know d amount am supposed to pay? The only fee you will pay in this regard is your courier fee which you will only know by going to DHL or the courier service of our choice. |
hayoBams:Answers: Before applying for a student study visa, what are the documents that I need to get From the school to attach to my application required by the IRCC? Letter of Acceptance (compulsory). Tuition fee deposit ( if any). Funding Letter(if any). Co-op Letter (if any) and any other letter the school will issue Do I need my acceptance letter before applying for the visa? CAPITAL YES. If you don't have an admission letter, how and what are you applying study visa to go and do kwanu? And also does the payment of tuition guarantee one's visa application? NO. |
Oluchi2020:The best agent you can use for your application is yourself. Just take your time and do proper reading from the beginning, you will equip yourself with informations to use and apply on your own. Gracias |
olabisi6438:Hello Ola, First, I'm sorry for your refusal. Is just a temporary delay. Now, you saw a generic statement and you feel you're unjustly evaluated? No. You need to order your note to get the real comment(s) of the VO. Again, Canada isn't about how much you have like UK, rather theirs is about how genuinely available the fund is to study? That you have 20million and 2 million was sent to you doesn't mean the money is available. Now I want you to answer this questions; 1). With your 20 million and 2 million that was sent to you, how much tuition deposit did you make? Now imagine this scene, 2 applicant going for 2 year study, applicant A has 12million in his account, but he was able to pay a full tuition for the year and is left with only 8million in account. Applicant B has 22million in his account but only paid Tuition deposit or a term Tuition. Within both of them, who do you think the VO will believe more to be a bonafide student, that the fund shown is for Studies and not demonstration purposes? So that brings me to ask, did you make any tuition fee payment? JR fee is around 2500 USD and above if am not mistaken. So if I'm you, I will order for my note, know what's the comments of the VO, and since you can easily make way with such huge amount for a Jr, why not convert the money to pay your full tuition if you haven't, then do GIC. This can go along way in telling the VO that the fund isn't for demonstration purpose but you genuinely mean to go and study. The last person here who did Jr, it lasted for a year before he got his PPR. So be ready to wait oo. And have it in mind that Jr doesn't mean approval at be end. . But the choice is all yours to decide All the best Ola. It will end in praises ok. |
Raeinn:I have replied Raeinn |
MARINA49:applicants don't get emails when eligibility stats. You only see Ghost update or Application/update profile update when you log into your GCkey. |
Pandasofire:In that case, there is no document to prove such land is yours by ancestral inheritance? I don't know how tradition/culture works in your place, but you really need a document to prove that such land is yours. You can't just quote anything in SOP and not back it up with pepper proof. You really need to survey that land and get an affidavit cos in the affidavit of ownership, you will need to quote all numbers and location of the land in it. |
deligatus:How can an agent refuse to give an update on a job he/she was contracted to do and you're taking it lightly. Its so unfortunate. The only thing you can do now is to get your log-in details from him/her and check your application yourself. If he can't give you an update as an agent, I hope he wasn't the one that assembled all your documents on your behalf, cos my fear isn't in the application itself as you can always reapply, but is on him/her submitting fake documents that might have handed you a ban. Please get your log in details from him/her ASAP by any means possible. |
flosure:Hello Flosure, From the note, is evident that your PURPOSE OF VISIT wasn't well written and articulated in your SOP. you failed to convince the VO WHY THE COURSE, WHY YOU WANT TO DO IT IN CANADA AND NOT YOUR COUNTRY NIGERIA THE IMPORTANCE OF THE COURSE TO YOUR ACADEMIC AND OR CAREER ADVANCEMENT/GOALS So now you need to work on your purpose of visit. try to convince the VO on why the course in Canada when such course is available everywhere in the world and even in Nigeria. |
Pandasofire:Hello Pandasofire, As regards the land, do Gift Deed/Deed of inheritance and as well do an affidavit of ownership, in the affidavit, let them quote the current price worth of the said land. So outside survey documents, which other documents do you have then? Hope you have receipt of the land purchase and power of attorney? |
. Are you saying even if a program is two years, they may not stamp the two years at a go? If that's the case, how would the 'balance visa' (pardon my language) be treated?
