CyberG: You people should be pounded like yam and fed to the sharks in the Atlantic! Which ibos? When some people were labouring hard, planting, weeding, putting fertilizer, dealing with poor harvest in a previous year but trying harder again, some people (ibos) sneered and laughed at them! They belittled their efforts. Even the single Okorocha has become the object of their hatred (not that I support him or think he is even ready for prime time). The ibos became the willing tools being the fronts for phoney parties to derail registration of the current party within which they now want to be given high positions! Azikiwe and Okpara made fun of Chief Awolowo's policy during the first republic but eventually tried to copy it in a hurry, and they failed completely!

Now that positions of responsibility are being allocated, guess who want's to be crowned king? The lazy gloating ibo man! Should mere whining be the yardstick for getting everything? You want to be handed the presidency on a platter because you think you are special? Who told you such lies? Ibos have vowed not to even vote for APC in the east! What business man invests billions and huge resources to build a business and then hands it over to a prodigal son with a fat sense of entitlement but with ZERO belief or sense about how to run the business successfully?? grin grin grin
eeyaaa, oya go and hug the transformer for succour

Garri the 1st: Sharrap dia. The bridge was built by NDDC. Are you too lazy to read??

Olodo....

@Topic: Its interesting to note that the project was handled by a local contractor.

Kudos to GEJ and the NDDC board.

Wait, CyberG, Before i close my eyes and open it, letit be that u have deleted that long unfounded epistle.

what have yorubas done for this country
and what exactly did u just write about nollywood ?
which grp inthe country tops in education today? which particular yoruba is known for sth tangible worldwide, i mean a household name?

Do u really want me to give u a resounding response to that nonsense?

sounding apologetic is what u just did and it aint going to help ur lot either. Igbos have not even bragged enough to match what they should brag about. dont let me descend on u

CyberG: Richer in what sense? You wrongly think that because Rivers gets a bigger share of the pudding, they are richer? The way you people reason only shows that your IQ is less than that of a tuber of yam - no offense! angry angry Has it not occurred to you that an arrangement where friends gather to share your own food and money while they have as much or more, and if the friendship is suddenly over, you are royally screwed? There is more Oil in Lagos and Ondo State than all the oil in Nigeria! If Nigeria breaks up, Lagos will own all the oil fields offshore and within its continental shelf! The difference will be that Rivers oil wealth would have been significantly depleted and share whereas you will not get a farthing as soon as Nigeria breaks up! Forget conventional oil, Ondo State sits on top of one of the largest Oil Sands deposit in the whole world, something Canada will earn about $450 B from in the next 25 years yet, in Ondo State, the resource still lies fallow. When Nigeria breaks up, you will not get a cent! Right now, Ondo State alone contributes about 12% of Nigeria's oil wealth, that is more than enough for all the needs of an independent South Western Yoruba country. But that is all about oil which is not a real measure of wealth.

The South West is the pride of the best education Nigeria has to offer from since the 1940's when you people were still living in the thick forest! The population of Ibadan alone is >> than all Rivers State, man power that cannot be created on a dime! The SW without even adding Lagos was far, far superior in everything using agriculture as the mainstay of its economy in the days of regionalism, what is the highest agricultural output of Rivers State since the foundation of the earth? Leadership and administration - the quality of leadership espoused by the Yorubas is something that will never be matched or approached by the entire River State till eternity! Now, need I say more? The SW has one of the largest deposits of other minerals like limestone, gold, etc. A word is enough for the wise!
Guy, yorubas have not done anything for this nation, full stop. the so-called education u talked about is being led by easterners now. so, forget that one. all the inventions and technological advances in nigeria are not thanks to any yoruba.u dont go to school for the sake of it, u use it to change ur environs.u guys are mediocres.

and wrap up all those your crude oil speculations, if sw develops more oil wells 2moro, wat makes u think Rivers wont do the same?

if aligning with the north to become politically relevant again is wat u call political maturity, then i dont mind Rivers ppl being immature.

Apart from Okorocha, how many new schools have your governors built since they entered off

None.

Amosun is barely a little over 2 years in office and his already building a huge model school, he's rehabilitated tons of schools and I have pictures if you want, but your governors are yet to build one single classroom..

Combine every major businesses of IGBos in Lagos, its not up to half of Dangote's investment in Lagos. But u wouldn't hear him brag about anything.
Come to think of it, wasn't ifeanyi Ubah indicted for subsidy fraud?
that the investment igbos have in lagos has the financial muscle of dangote? Nonsense, lies. how many igbos are involved in combined businesses by the way? we are taalking of igbos here , not yorubas please. much more igbos than not are independent and will survive best in this country when govt gets withdrawn from the Nigerians,it has been happening sef.
And am still on point when i say i dont talk much abt ppl that have looted govt money.

Also,u could mentioned ifeanyi uba? oya, drop ur tribe here let me tell u how uncountable the subsidy thieves in ur region is and how miserable they will be without govt policies.

Add this to his controlling stakes in other publicly-listed companies like Dangote Sugar and National Salt Company of Nigeria and his significant shareholdings in other blue-chips like Zenith Bank, UBA Group and Dangote Flour; his extensive real estate portfolio, jets, yachts and current cash position, which includes more than $300 million in recently awarded Dangote Cement dividends, Dangote is now worth more than $20 billion. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

eggheaders: outside onitsha gra and some part of abs junction the rest of onitsha is crap shyte fegge inclusive. the ibadan you called village gat loads of high brow areas. I won't blame you, you have never been there all your life. highbrows in ib that makes your abs junction and gra onitsha look like slums. agodi gra, oluyole estate, felele, akobo, ologuneru, bodija and numerous other places. get your black a55 off that slum in opoko and get on an ifeshinachi to see ib and stop feeding on generation misinformation pass to you by your progenitors. the same onitsha that you can't step outside past 8 pm is what is good life to you. with the chances of getting robbed at uppy iweka and all manner of gun wielding scumbags dotting every public place and very high cost of living and transportation abeg I prefer igboora to that shytehole. if you mouthing about enugu self I fit reason with you small but onitsha is a shytehole mehn.
My dear, Onitsha ia a lot finer and looks better of a city than ibadan. btw, dont tell me abt the ibadan i know. its too poor for a capital. ilike the way we are comparing a non capital that was in ashes after the war with Ibadan that has been a capital of how many years. impressive.

the agbero business of Sw is a bubbling one, so dont even start telling me abt insecurity anything in onitsha. onitsha bubbles till 12 midnight, so carry your lies to your relatives that have not stayed in onitsha, dewscribing onitsha and Ibadan to me is like taking coal to Newcastle. at ibadan, where do i start? wait, is it poverty that is keeping those mud houses and those others in various stages of dilapidation? OMG! I WAS SHOCKED THAT PLACE COULD PASS FOR A CAPITAL JOOR. Didnt u see the high brow private buildings in onitsha?

your peeps are really poor. if the houses in the capital are like that, who knows what those in your villages are like. Its definitely not going to be like igboland where the finest houses are in the villages

for the sake of clarity, both are wearing the igbo traditional attire.
the Isiagu upon wrapper/trouser is one of the attires for males.
the wrapper(ukwu akwa) and slim/short sleeve blouse is worn by igbos. Texas cowshiit n co, take note. what u are seeing is not bogus and long sleeved.

Any further clarifications?

Eba and dry fish? u mean soaking garri in water and keeping a plate of dry fish beside it? that will be the most nutritious way of soaking garri then. yorubas take it with only sugar.

Besides, we all know the tribe that cant do without soaking garri, those that cry out blood during fuel price increase, plus those that faints when mtn increases tarriffs

dayokanu: Why cant these Ibos spend the 300m in Abatiti and Aroshuku
Again, point of correction, they spend even more money in the villages, Igbos build their finest houses in the villages. infact, it is in their villages that u see architectural designs, aku ruo ulo tnz on point. its good u mentioned Arochukwu, have u been there?

besides, y are u still puzzled about the migratory nature of people that love business? smh. if the region were not marginalised of sea ports and int'l airport, who cares abt Lagos? because if u get to the same Lagos Ports and Int'l markets, there is strong igbo dominance. if u come to the densely populated east, there is also igbo dominance.

dayokanu, let me ask u? how many indigenous industries of the Sw are owned by yorubas? in igboland, the indigenous industrial axes in Aba, Onitsha, Enugu and the almighty nnewi are not just igbo dominated but igbo exclusive. Aside the migration pattern(which u have been made to know y), what support your stand that alaigbo is not heavily populated. and dont even talk abt 2006 census, cos many igbo ppl refused to be counted. Owerri, Abia, port harcourt ppl said no and the commission presented the figures they could gather but at the end of the day,Anambra still came out as the second state with population density?

what exactly is your problem? ok, i know you are frustrated that igbos over run Lagos, a south western region(not yorubaland, get it right), WHILE YORUBAS are butchers in Onitsha and cab drivers ,[ i understand the hurt myself], even Awolowo felt so in his days but then, relax man, Shit happens in this life, try and live it with it. its not what u will solve on nairaland
PoliticsRe: Are We Now All Agreed That All Regions Of Nigeria Are Rotten? by ketoprofen(m): 9:29am On Jun 23, 2013
dayokanu: Given the poverty I saw in Alaibo why would anyone want to live there
hey, hey. will u withdraw that statement. igbos anywhere, east, west and north has more purchasing powers more than yorubas. igbos have more equitable wealth distribution than yorubas.

if they live u now,the indigenes of the western region are richer than their eastern counterparts? chinese are all over the world n that ,makes china a poor region? lmao.

btw, igbos(both indigenes and migrants) run the show in Rivers, how dare u ask when port harcourt became an igboland? where is your geography? or did they tell u its yourbaland?
