tyav7: The enlarged breast is GYNECOMASTIA. The pix was taken at a traditional ceremony in a rural village in the southwest of Nigeria.
In addition to the above:
Gynecomastia is swelling of the br.ea.st tissue in boys or men, caused by an imbalance of the hormones estrogen and testosterone. Gynecomastia can affect one or both br.eas.ts, sometimes unevenly. Newborns, boys going through puberty and older men may develop gynecomastia as a result of normal changes in hormone levels, though other causes also exist.

Generally, gynecomastia isn't a serious problem, but it can be tough to cope with. Men and boys with Gynecomastia sometimes have pain in their breasts and may feel embarrassed.

Gynecomastia may go away on its own. If it persists, medication or surgery may help. Source : Mayoclinic website)

EducationRe: Hnd Is Equivalent To A Bsc by kevoh(m): 4:47pm On Dec 30, 2013
I always laugh cheesy when I hear HND engineering guys say they are better than Bsc in terms of practicals as if they have met all Bsc engineering guys. Note that, I am not discriminating as I intend to employ both Bsc and HND on same level as long as they can do the work when I am solid enough to float my Engineering company but come on that practical thing is pure nonsense. undecided

Olugbenger: I can only pity HND folks here. Most of them are chaps the univeristies reject and they knew what they got into exactly. So why all these complaints now? What is WES? What is the Op saying?
The employers decide the judgement and we all know what it is.
The bolded assumption is wrong in all ramifications.

All these talk about Algebra, Calculus bla bla bla will not save your a.SS if as the head of a division you can't achieve simple engineering tasks. By then no one will ask wether you are HND or Bsc, they will just tell you that you are incompetent and if care is not taken you are FIRED. You can't be working for me as an Electrical engineer brandishing First Degree and Master's from M.I.T, USA yet you don't know how to troubleshoot or worse still use a multimeter. YES, I have met and seen E.E grads (Bsc and HND) who can't use one.

If you are HND get a PGD and be practical oriented, If you are Bsc that's not the end of the world be practical oriented too. Help yourself climb the ladder of success and let the unserious ones keep arguing about Bsc and HND stereotypes.

When a python attacks, you have about 14 to 15 seconds before you lose consciousness. That na very short time ooo. So you must act sharp sharp. Don't waste time trying to remove the snake's body from the center, it will only encourage it to tighten it's grip around you. Follow these steps :
1. Quickly remove your shirt and wrap it round the python's head.
2. Take a deep breath.
3. Get the python's tail and give it a big bite. Yes a bite! The type of bite that will cut off a large chunk of the tail off.
Na sharply bros python go release it's grip on you.

CelebritiesRe: Picture Of Toke Makinwa Smoking Shisha, Enjoys Being Single Again! by kevoh(m): 5:03pm On Dec 28, 2013
Shisha is a tube (flexible) that is connected to a container where smoke (weed, tobacco e.t.c) is passed through water come out as vapour and inhaled. There is even a general belief among those who smoke it that it is harmless and a safe alternative to cigarrette smoking but on the contrary dem dey deceive demselves. Check this out:

A cigarette smoker typically takes between eight and 12 puffs, inhaling 0.5 to 0.6 litres of smoke. But during a typical hour-long shisha session, smokers may take up to 200 drags, ranging from 0.15 to 1 litre of smoke each.
yeah go ahead keep puffing shisha cheesy

Almost everyone we surveyed was unaware that during a typical hour-long shisha session you can inhale the same amount of smoke as from 100 tobacco cigarettes. In fact 84 per cent thought it was 10 or fewer. 0ne hour-shisha session = 100 tobacco cigarettes shocked

Carbon Monoxide (From The Coal) is 30 times harder to dissolve in water then oxygen.

What’s more, shisha smokers are exposed to more toxins than cigarette smokers because they also breathe in smoke from the wood or charcoal used to burn the tobacco – it’s like breathing deeply next to a smoky barbecue, something most of us try to avoid.
FamilyRe: Just Before I Leave: A Nairalander's Pre-suicide Thoughts by kevoh(m): 4:00pm On Dec 28, 2013
JulianBond007: 40k might not mean anything to you but to some its a huge lot of money. I have heard of someone being killed because of 20 naira. You don't know the financial status of the parents of the OP. The mistake has been done already and it has affected his education. For someone to think of committing suicide, you should know such a person must have been frustrated. Instead of advising him to go ahead and commit suicide, isn't it better he sees a psychologist first before deciding on what to do next?

Now I know nairaland is not the best place to seek for advice. So many rettards on this forum.
It is pointless trading insults with you, I have seen folks carry kpon-kpon (do bricklayer's job) to raise money for school, do security job, cleaners job, work in a poultry or some other so-callled-demeaning menial job for an undergraduate to raise money. A less paying security job/cleaning job is not more than 15k per month. The OP has free house, free food, free light and water at his parents place, if he was so keen on his education he would have opted for one of the jobs above during the vacation but NO he didn't! He would rather sit at home eat free food and ping his life away.

Christianity EtcRe: Show Me Just One Verse...just One by kevoh(m): 2:48pm On Dec 28, 2013

John:1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John:1:2: The same was in the beginning with God.

John:1:3: All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
John:1:4: In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John:1:5: And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
John:1:6: There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
John:1:7: The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
John:1:8: He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
John:1:9: That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
John:1:10: He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
John:1:11: He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
John:1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John:1:13: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John:1:14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Take note of the bolded and the emphasis on WORD. Jesus christ is the WORD that was with God and was God and then the WORD (Jesus Christ) became flesh (human form) and dwelt among us. God is worshipped by all who believe in him. If Jesus christ is God as the above verses pointed out then it is just natural for those who believe in him to worship.

How genuine is Ladbrokes virtually football betting......is it as real as they say it is...and please what are the likely problems involved

Ladbrokes is good. 3 work days maximum you will get your withdrawal, williamhill takes about 5 work days but I still like williamhill.

There are tons of free materials online that will explain various betting terms. My preferred one is over 1.5 team goals. Let me give you one site you can source for good tips : mrfixitstips.co.uk . Stick to Mr.fixit's super singles and look out for members like Greg and Alex they give solid tips or click on the link in my signature below.
BusinessRe: So None Of You Wants To Teach Me Online Betting Abi by kevoh(m): 10:25am On Dec 25, 2013
Whatever you do, stay away from 9ja bookies and their small odds. I recommend williamhi.l and lad.brok.es and get an access visa card for funding from your card and withdrawing straight to your card.

Ladbrokes you don't need any form of verification and williamhill all you need is your passport or birthcertificate just to verify if you're 18+.

For now just 'paper bet' I.e using an imaginary amount of money like say $100 as your initial amount and see how far you can go over a week before you start using your real money.

EducationRe: "If I Were You" And "If I Was U", Which Is Grammatically Correct? by kevoh(m): 6:55am On Dec 20, 2013
If the hypothetical result is in the future, we put the verb in the condition clause one step back — into the present:

If the Bulls win the game tomorrow, they will be champs again.

For present unreal events, we put the verb in the condition clause one step back — into the past:

If the Bulls won another championship, Roberto would drive into Chicago for the celebration.
I wish I had tickets.
If they were available anywhere, I would pay any price for them.
If he were a good friend, he would buy them for me.

Note that wishing is always an unreal condition. Note, too, that the verb to be uses the form were in an unreal condition. More about this in a moment.

For past unreal events — things that didn't happen, but we can imagine — we put the verb in the condition clause a further step back — into the past perfect:

If the Pacers had won, Aunt Glad would have been rich.
If she had bet that much money on the Bulls, she and Uncle Chester could have retired.
I wish I had lived in Los Angeles when the Lakers had Magic Johnson.
If I had known you were coming, I would have baked a cake.

Source: http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/conditional.htm
If I were you is correct in this case.
