Please let us be guided in answering questions here, if you are not sure instead of giving someone a wrong answer go back and research or read the DV instruction, or instructions on the DS 122 and 230. The DS 230 form contains four (4) pages, at the end of the second page (2) you are expected to sign your form while the fourth page (4) is to be signed before the CO probably to confirm that, the first signature is yours. Saying one should not sign the form is not correct please kindly be guided accordingly.

Mywife and Myself - good afternoon. The CO asked me to go and sit down while he interview my wife

CO - what is ur highest level of education

CO - tell me the cources u did in year 1 of ur study
MyWife - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx she mentioned them without thinking twice

CO - when did u get married
Mywife - she told him with dates

CO - when did ur husband propose to u
Mywife --- xxxxxxx with dates

CO - when did u agree to his proposal
Mywife - xxxxxxxx

CO - when is the first time ur husband visit ur parents
Mywife - she answered with specific date

CO - how come u remember these dates offhand
Mywife - because i love my husband. The CO started to laugh and continue typing on his system

CO - wen did u visit ur husband family last
Mywife - she answered with date. The CO started joking wt my wife and said that she could remember those date because she is an accountant who keep proper records

CO - show me ur wedding album
My wife - she open the album one by one and telling him the people in each pics

CO - show me ur courtship pics
My wife - she showed him

CO - he called me and asked the same questions he asked my wife
Myself - i answered him satisfactorily

CO - congratulation. I will approve ur visa

I will like to add that my wife WAEC certificate got burnt in a fire incidence and we submit only online print out and it was accepted without raising any questions.

pjogutum1: TWO KINDS OF NPC BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Please take note:

@Kevwe_flex, My brother the birth certificate specimen you posted on this thread is for children not for adults, we have two kinds of birth certificate issued by the National Population Commission (NPC)
1. The first one is called birth certificate for (minors) children between 0 and 17 years.
2. The second one is called birth attestation given to (adults) from 18 years and above. The birth attestation carries your passport stamped at the down 2/3 sector while the spill runs over to the form, the form is an A4 size form.

junkerhill: Make sure you sign the forms before sending them or they wont be attended to. I failed to sign part 1 of the ds 230 and I was sent a mail by kcc, asking me to download another form, fill, sign and send. It cost me extra money and also delayed my 2NL.

maasoap: Hello house, I have contacted about 3 nairalanders about my case but no headway yet. So I decided to throw it to the full house, and your timely contribution will be appreciated.
Experts in the house: my concern is that I applied for DV2014 as a married, and I also applied for my wife as a married. I didn't win but my wife won. The problem is that I registered for her using her maiden name as her last name. It was my idea that she should keep her maiden name as her last name since she was still searching job to make it easy for her during job interviews. I haven't sent our forms to KCC but can I stick to using her maiden name for her as her last name? I don't want to even go for affidavit of change of name now so as not to make it looks suspicious. But my worry is that can we scale through as couples using different family names? What is our chances? Can we really convince them? Because l don't think my wife is ready to go without me.
We have a daughter but I don't want to include her for now, she won't go with us for convenience and partly due to financial constraints. Any advice on these two issues. We married in 2011 and our daughter is a year old this month. We haven't gone to registry yet, only religion aspect done. No intl passports yet. We haven't sent our forms yet, still waiting for best advice. (Can my wife go alone as single so as not to waste it all together?) Any other question will be answered if you ask.

adeniyisavage: the first point is invalid....up to 100,000 winners are normally selected,this year that rose to 120,000.any shortfall will be mopped up by the extra 25,000

my afraid,KCC has more than enough winners to utilize the available visas.no more draws ever.

I would like to have some reasonable answers to this question. My friend is current for the month of july. But she is 1n 300level 2nd semester now and she wont be able to finish her schooling here b4 leaving. So she's looking at to options now, either she process her transcript from her sch here and complete her education ova there. But wat is d possibility that she would be able to continue where she stopped from here? or she goes to the US and do the necessary documentations, get her green card, SSN etc and come back to finish her sch here since she has ova a year left. Comin back i mean in terms of shuttling btw US and Nigeria while she completes her sch. I am aware she cant stay more than 6months outside the US. So which of the options is beta for her situation now. She needs advice

@Kevwe: the Petitioner is the principle applicant that won the dv lottery if it is you then you are the petitioner. Address is your own address, your email and your phone number. Hope this helps

Yes, include it. But you will need to get a letter of attestation from your head of department or your school registrar during your interview assuming your result is not ready during your interview.

2.The short onee that u have with u is it frm NPC and is ur full name,date of birthday,ur parent name apear on it?if u have all this on it u are good to go.
3.I have to Say this NPC birth cert is not mandatory if u have ur normal birth certificate that ur parent received on ur delivary time,because that is what my host use during his interview 9 years ago also. To me and my wife is only my child that use the NPC cert because that is what they isue on her delivary time.....I wish u guy success........faith work wonders

rcb34: send only the: barcode sheet, DSP122 (for principal applicant only), DS230 part I&II,2passport photogragh 600X600 pixcel (2inches X 2 inches) only and no other document, read well the instructions before filling the forms, wishin u luck
