Cut off numbers are released based on available visas for that month as communicated by the embassy or consulate. There's no formula for it. But what we do is permutate based on study of previous bulletins which obviously u did. So with that u could predict when ur CN will be current.

Those whose case number is below or up to 5500 in Nigeria, good news. You are all current for October. That is DV 2014. Get your documents ready and prepare for your interviews for October. Remember, always come back with your testimony. God bless you all.

Just rush down to Children's practice this morning-Saturday and get your medicals done. Yes u can do it on Saturday. Then head straight to Alagbon for Police report. Police report comes out same day. But the medical will have to be next week, hopefully and with God's intervention, it will be Monday. But one advice, never reschedule at all. It's very late and d windows of DV2013 will soon be shut and u may loose it. I think if the medicals is not ready by Monday, u guys can still go to the embassy for the interview. I read a testimony here on this forum of someone who had to rush down to the Hospital on the day of his interview, he got the visa. So go with ur Int'l Passports and passport photographs and all related docs for ur medicals and police today. What abt ur NPC birth certificate or attestation? God favours u all as u go.

VisaOfficer: No offense taken, and you're right -- sometimes we make mistakes. Sometimes we issue to people who shouldn't receive visas, and sometimes we fail to issue visas to people who would be great travellers. We are constantly training and trying to improve, to reduce our number of errors as much as possible. This thread is teaching me a lot and I'm sharing the information with my colleagues, so keep it coming!

Kunlexymoore: Hi my peeps. Just to intimate u guys that we (Myself, Shewen4God and our daughter) arrived America a week ago (North Carolina to be precised) and we had a safe and interesting trip. We thank God for His mercies and ur prayers as well.

We are settling in gradually. We've filed in for our SSN and we were asked to wait for a minimum of 10 days before we get it. We hope to receive both greencard and SSN before month end by His grace cos a lot of things we need to do here depends on those two items.

Lastly, this is for the ladies that won as singles i.e. played with their maiden names. You are expected to effect ur name change on ur passport in Abuja (if u already had a passport before you played)before going for ur interview so the name on ur visa can bear ur husband's name and you wouldn't have to go thru what we went through, trying to change it now in the USA. We travelled to the USCIS office within the state and we were asked to wait for the greencard to come out first after which we will fill a form for change of name and pay $300.00 for them to change the name on the greencard. You need not go thru all these.

My interview was successful. I got to the embassy 4:18am, waited till 6:20 before we queue according to the type of visa and appointment time. After the security checks, we were ushered into interview hall, paid $330, tendered my credentials and waited close to 2 hours for my turn. People with kids were first attended to before adults. My interview was short and simple. I was interviewed by the handsome young guy on window 15. He was nice to me and asked me questions relating to my about my education. Below is my conversation with him:

CO: Good morning
Me: Good morning sir (with a smile)
CO: I will like to take your finger print
Me: finger print capture.
I raised my right hand and oath was administered.

CO: details of your education with date
Me: bbbbbbbbbbb
CO: Have you ever been married?
CO: any kid?
Me: No
CO: Congratulations.

He gave me two white papers, indicating where to pick up my visa and how to pay the $165.
That's is it o. Na so I just happy comot for the embassy.

Technically, KCC gives between 6-8weeks for preparation and to get necessary docs so what i mean was if that guy will be going for an interview in February 2014, KCC will notify him through 2NL by Dec 15th 2013.

We wrote NOT APPLICABLE. Unfortunately for us we have sent the forms to KCC. This has left her with sleepless nights.

Can you PLEASE advice us on what to do since I trust your judgement.

Fill another form DS-230 all over again including her name, address and phone number as the petitioner and send it KCC. You can also email it to them cos it is faster.

When did you send your forms? If it's just 2-3days, you gonna have to wait. Cos like they said, which they also told me, they have volumes of mails to attend to. You can just wait for about 2 weeks before you put a call to them at (+1) 606-526-7500 between 7:30am and 4:00pm EST, which should be as from 12:30 pm 9ja time to confirm your forms.

I don't know o. Even if they want to proceed with the processing, how are they gonna prove that they are truly married? Or are they gonna say it is a common law marriage or companion living together not married? I think it is daisy. That lottery from my own point of view is lost. It may be a futile effort if for example they should try. Cos just this week, a couple who were actually, truly married were drilled for hours at the embassy before their visa was eventually approved talk less of arrangee marriage. Or house what do u think?
