eph12: Hello kevweflex, please read the intro that you didn't bother to read so you understand the purpose of this thread. Also take a glance at the topic too. However if you still do not understand or still have questions, we will try our best to point you in the right direction. Thanks.
Plus the intro minus the intro, at least I was able to establish that I am aware of the cost. Why can't the answer be given as to if I can get the goods on my doorstep by Sunday?

Hello. I did not bother to read all the intro from the 1st page. All I want is to ship some goods from China to Nigeria ASAP and want it to get to Nigeria before Sunday.
Giving that the intro says $8 per kg and N450 per kg for custom check being the price, what are my odds of it getting to Nigeria my set deadline?
Thanks. Hope to hear from you soon.

Atandaishola794: @Kevwe-flex Thanks for your constant, accurate and true bulletin updates on this forum. May the almighty God continue to enrich your brain. With the way the bulletin has been going so far, what do you think is the cause and what do you foresee this year ? I see you as the biggest guru along this line, hence these questions. Thanks again on behalf of all the forumites.
EgbonBode: Do not be worried about visa bulletin for Nigeria.
Please let nobody be discourage about the movement of the visa bulletin. My case number is about 18,000. Everybody that won will have opportunity of been interviewed. If you analyse the statistics at this link that westcodes gave us for last year 2013 the whole picture will be very clear. (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmbWzexdyvIldEs1d3VWWnJoV1BZSTF0R0JGeVRSTFE&usp=drive_web#gid=7 DV cases judged in 2013, it's interesting.)
Note this: In Nigeria case for 2013 only 18 case numbers were greater than 20,000. All the other African country except few like Egypt and Congo are well distributed from 0 to about 100,000. What is happening in our own case this year is that almost everybody that won in Nigeria are having their case number less that 20,000. They are distributing the visa bulletin for Nigeria based on this. They already have rough figure of the number of people they are going to interview in Nigeria and they have known the number of people to be invited each month.
If your case number is high continue to prepare. Find out what you can do in US in terms of career and prepare for it. You will surely be interviewed before the end of September. If you look at the case of 2013 there is no body from Nigeria (based on the statistics in the link) with case number 19xxx that was interviewed earlier than August. Everybody in 19xxx in Lagos were interviewed in August and September.
Our high case number will be to our advantage based on the way this forum is helping with information. Those that will go to US early will be able to help us with information on how to Travel, settle and find jobs and career.
Greetings. ^^^ That to me just answers your question. Thanks for your compliments. Note I am an applicant like you too. Just like @samolaniyi said
samolaniyi: Kevwe is correct, the VB is out.Every months member of immigration.com forum usually call KCC from 6th of every month until the current number is given out.I believe if you are a member of that forum you will get the visa bullentin before it is announced officially.
^^^ That is what I did, inspired by @westcodes. BTW, I love what @EgbonBode has just written here. Beautiful peace. Taking this as an advantage to himself.

femishow2005: Ok I think there're two things involved.
1. A married woman whose passport has expired and it's her maiden name that's on it can just do the change of name at any immigration office nationwide and a New one will be issued in her husband's name .
2. A married woman whose passport is still valid and it's her father surname she used may have to go to Abuja for the change of name where new one will be
issued in her husband's name.

Now based on what kevwe quoted. I think the person wife falls into the second category. She played as single now married and has passport that's still valid with her maiden name on it. In conclusion it's advisable to go Abuja and obtain the new one rather passing through what Kunlesmore passed in the statws cos they'll issue the visa in the name on the passport.

Hope this Help? ..It can only be God
Hmm, well said. Thanks for expatiating it.

energysaver: Good A.m all! Pls I am confused concerning my international passport, It reads SINGLE which will also will expire in 2016. meanwhile I played as married! Pls can this affect me negatively? Thanks in anticipation of your advice
Greetings. I am going to quote what a forumite of DV2013 experienced on this issue last year, then based on that, you can take your decision. Meanwhile using your passport reading SINGLE while you are already MARRIED wouldn't be of any adverse effect to you, except that you were already married before you did the passports and you claimed single, this might affect you (I am just assuming).

Kunlexymoore: Hi my peeps. Just to intimate u guys that we (Myself, Shewen4God and our daughter) arrived America a week ago (North Carolina to be precised) and we had a safe and interesting trip. We thank God for His mercies and ur prayers as well.

We are settling in gradually. We've filed in for our SSN and we were asked to wait for a minimum of 10 days before we get it. We hope to receive both greencard and SSN before month end by His grace cos a lot of things we need to do here depends on those two items.

Lastly, this is for the ladies that won as singles i.e. played with their maiden names. You are expected to effect ur name change on ur passport in Abuja (if u already had a passport before you played)before going for ur interview so the name on ur visa can bear ur husband's name and you wouldn't have to go thru what we went through, trying to change it now in the USA. We travelled to the USCIS office within the state and we were asked to wait for the greencard to come out first after which we will fill a form for change of name and pay $300.00 for them to change the name on the greencard. You need not go thru all these.

Best wishes for those still waiting to be interviewed. Regards.
This is the link to the above quote if you wanna check it out.

samolaniyi: I guess you were place on AP simply because your wife played as single before she won. Therefore, the embassy would want to confirm if the marraige after the dv lottery is genuine, and this will take 60 or more days.

however, you can check the AP status on this link:https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx
This link will tell you the position of your AP status.
Greetings. I disagree with you on that. But that may not ruled out as well. I am a living witness of someone in this same situation whose interview was successful and visa approved that same day. A very closed friend of mine that entered for the eDV lottery by Oct 2012, got married December 2012, won when result was published May 2013, went for interview Dec 10th 2013 with visa approved that same day. Note that the burden of proof is on the person being interviewed. It may be that they weren't able to convice the CO sufficiently hence the AP.
So playing as single and married afterwards before going for the interviewed doesn't mean automatic AP. Like someone said in the forum that marriage before result could be tough, but after result is tougher.
Cheers!

chibuzz89: Hi everyone..am new here..i just found my way here when I tried getting some answers about administrative processing..am a young man who got married about a year ago..I played dv2014 for me and my girlfriend(now wife) same day and after our marriage it was success on my wife end..it was a perfect wedding gift for us..we did all the necessary things and had our interview on the 1st of Nov 2014..everything went well and was expecting to get a visa that day but was shocked when the CO gave us a white letter stating that we are under administrative processing for 60days..it was not the best of the year for us as we have had plans..but we can't question God..its been over 60days and I wrote them which I got a reply that it's still under AP..am confused..please has anyone had such case before..cos this is really affecting so many plans in my life right now..i'd be happy if I get a good response to this...god bless and happy new year all
Greetings. As you may have known, some visa applications require further administrative processing, which takes additional time after the visa applicant’s interview by a Consular Officer. Applicants are advised of this requirement when they apply. Most administrative processing is resolved within 60 days of the visa interview. When administrative processing is required, the timing will vary based on individual circumstances of each case. Visa applicants are reminded to apply early for their visa, well in advance of the anticipated travel date.
As long as you know your relationship with your wife is bonafide and that the marriage is not a sham, my brother, I think you don't need to be confused, just take it to God in prayer that they conclude on the AP on time. I understand how you feel especially when you didn't factor this added time into your initial plan and it's making you to stay/wait longer. But chill, He (God) makes all things beautiful in His time.

Greetings. Congratulations to you for being selected for further processing in the DV lottery. If I got you correctly, you were single when you entered for the initial eDV lottery but now married before the the results were out. Firstly, that's not a problem at all. Secondly, your wife needs to fill the Form DS-230. Yes, you don't need to send marriage certificates or photos (except the passport photographs) yet to KCC.

All applicants must complete the following forms, which can be downloaded by clicking the form number:

Supplemental Registration for the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program, Form DSP-122: Only the principal applicant needs to complete Form DSP-122.
Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration, Form DS-230, Part I and II: The principal applicant and all family members applying for a diversity visa must submit both Part I and II.
Note: Each Form DS-230 Part II, Sworn Statement should be submitted unsigned.
Two (2) photographs of yourself and of each family member applying for a diversity immigrant visa.

Good morning folks. What's happening? The thread is just dull for some days now. Are we mourning? It's the beginning of a New Year and we don't wanna start the New Year on this note, do we? My interview is this Year, I am achieving greatness this year, dunno about y'all.
Creating another thread was for our own good and maybe others to come, but since the site's terms and conditions which we all agree to abide to while signing up does not allow us or rather, we'd be breaching it, I think honestly we should move on. I believe Obatide does not have any ulterior motives behind it. It's settled and let's move on. When the need arises, it would come naturally and we wouldn't be breaching any T & C.
In the light of this, let's concentrate on what bind us together here in this thread, DV 2014. The beginning of every month, intending applicants who haven't been interviewed normally wait with fingers crossed for the Visa Bulletin. I am part of it.
What do we think the outcome of the of the February visa bulletin for the diversity (dv) immigrant category rank cut-offs which will apply in March? Any guess? @westcodes, we are waiting for you.

Cheers!

Nairaland GeneralBill Gates-Microsoft Founder-World’s Richest Person Again by kevweflex(op): 11:56pm On Jan 02, 2014
https://247nigerianewsupdate.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Aliko-Dangote-Bill-Gates-Fashola-300x208.jpg

Microsoft founder regains top position from Mexican telecoms magnate Carlos Slim, with estimated fortune of $78.5bn.

The man who is the most generous giver on earth, Bill Gates is also the richest individual, according to a Bloomberg report today.

Gates net worth ballooned by $15.8 billion to $78.5 billion, according to the index, as shares of Microsoft, the world’s largest software maker, rose 40 percent in 2013.

Bloomberg says that the 58 year-old software tycoon recaptured the title of world’s richest person on May 16 from Mexican investor Carlos Slim.

Gates’s fortune has also benefited from a rally in stock holdings that include the Canadian National Railway Co. and sanitizing-products maker Ecolab Inc., which rose 34 percent and 45 percent respectively.

Gate’s increasing wealth is typical of the experience of the world’s richest in 2013. Bloomberg says the world’s richest even got richer, in a trend that will further sadden the world’s poorest as the rich take everything away.

Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest person and founder of Dangote Group, one of the continent’s largest conglomerates, added $9.2 billion during the year. He’s the 30th-richest person in the world. His fortune is now well over $30billion.

Bloomberg’s billionaire’s index showed that the 300 richest people in the world increased their deep pockets with $524 billion.

“The aggregate net worth of the world’s top billionaires stood at $3.7 trillion at the market close on Dec. 31, according to the ranking. The biggest gains came in the technology industry, which soared 28 percent during the year. Of the 300 people who appeared on the final ranking of 2013, only 70 registered a net loss for the 12-month period.

“The rich will keep getting richer in 2014,” John Catsimatidis, the billionaire founder of real estate and energy conglomerate Red Apple Group Inc., said in a telephone interview from his New York office. “Interest rates will remain low, equity markets will keep rising, and the economy will grow at less than 2 percent.”

Most of Gates’s assets are held in Cascade Investment LLC, an entity through which he owns stakes in about three dozen publicly traded companies and several closely held businesses, including Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Corbis Corp., a photo-archive company. Less than a quarter of Gates’s fortune is held in Microsoft. He’s donated $28 billion to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Global stocks soared in 2013 for the best annual gain since 2009, with the MSCI World Index advancing 24 percent during the year to close at 1,661.07 on Dec. 31. The Standard and Poor’s 500 Index rose 30 percent to close at 1,848.36, its best yearly gain since 1997. The Stoxx Europe 600 gained 17 percent to close at 328.26.

Companies in the S&P 500 are worth $3.7 trillion more today than they were 12 months ago following a year when Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke signaled the curtailment of economic stimulus. The bull market, born at the depths of the credit crisis, enters its sixth year fueled by near-zero interest rates and conviction among investors that it’s finally safe to own equities again.
