westcodes: Forgive my paranoia but it seems some of the guys posting here asking unnecessary questions also posted on the dv2013 thread as winners. It's confusing, I'm not singling anyone out but looking at some folks profile just gives this impression. I might be wrong though.Hmmmmmm. Really? I've not really observed o. But I see a lot of stupid questions and rhetorical questions. Also lazy folks who don't read, but derive pleasure in asking everything. Like I do I breath? how do I sleep? what do I eat with, nose or eye? Questions already answered just in d previous page. I just ignore some of them. I only comment on those I perceive as genuine and the ones I'm sure of the answers. Guys research and contribute meaningfully. Pls can u note one of them? |
biggie1o2: hello House, i need your advice on this.Of all the the responses to your query, only babbs45, doctorp76, husmern, jidex001 and timimoyegun made sensible and meaningful comments. The rest whose names I'm not gonna mention are just rubbish. We are here to help, what you don't knw abt, pass it instead of giving you personal opinions which aren't the true situation of things. Because of DV lottery, you will now be lying. But before the interview, you swore to say the truth before the CO, as the interview progress, you will now lie, consequently, visa would not be approved. You will now start blaming this and that. I have seen someone whose visa (student visa for that matter) was approved even with different DOB in her documents. She was able to defend it cogently. Her DOB was not properly documented as at birth. So her uncle did a guess work. But now, the true DOB has been ascertain, hence this affidavit to support my claim. And that's actually the truth. I think from all, jidex001's advice is better of. It makes much sense, which you have also acknowledge. |
kaygee1977: He will...if God can take control of mine with "K" leg and make it to perfection. ..He will take care of yours too. Amen. God is not a man to lie neither to get tired. He will take charge and make you a VICTOR tomorrow. Amen! What k leg is dat? |
Rianatb: Hypertension!!!!!! my 2NL av not come,my case number is 14**,and have summitted my document on 16 of july delivered on 31st of july, people av been recieving there own 2NL,my chest is doing somehow,GOD be wit meYour case would be attended to the manner in which it was received. You submitted July when people whose case number is higher than yours and in the same category with you to be interviewed by October probably submitted earlier. Practical example here is ernestleon who submitted on d 6th OF May and have received his 2NL. This is done for proper organisation I believe. So sista, your 2NL would definitely come. This is my personal opinion though and I hope it helps. |
seubis: Hello house,I need ur advice,I just called KCC to confirm when am I likely to receive my 2NL but the lady told me that my application is stil undergoin processing, that I shld call back in two or three weeks time.hope I m safe.though I sent my forms on the 3rd of june and it was delivered on the 6th of june.I m worried becos my case number is very low 2014AF000002XX.Your case would be attended to the manner in which it was received. Though your case number is very low, persons whose case numbers are higher than yours submitted pretty earlier than you, hence they may have gotten their's according to them. You submitted a month after the results were released. This is done for proper organisation I believe. So broda, your 2NL would definitely come. This is my personal opinion though and I hope it helps. |
komakan: I reside in Abuja then I have to travel to Alagbon in Lagos to get my police report. Dat is not correct. You get it in ur area where U hv lived for six months ur vicinity. I hv lived in America for 6months and Sweden. So I hv to fly there to get police report. Let us be careful with d message.Guys instead of arguing and showing your ignorance publicly. Remember the instructions from your 1NL and I quote, ' Therefore, it is very important that you carefully follow instructions to increase your chances of possible visa issuance. The instructions are located on the Department of State website at http://www.dvselectee.state.gov '. Bro, u need police clearance from country/countries you've lived in for at least 6 months. Go to their embassy or high commission to make inquiries as to how to go about it. Also from the above link I gave above and also from experiences of DV2013 folks, it is clear that it's at Alagbon, fingerprint section you get your police clearance from. Worthy of note, so you would not get into another arguments again, below is the only designated hospitals to get your medicals as well: Q-Life Family Clinic Plot 155A Prince Ade Odedina Street Off Ajose Adegun, Victoria Island Annexe Lagos, Nigeria Telephone: 01-804-2000, 01-726-2840 Cell: 0702-770-4055 or The Consultants Practice The Children’s Practice 25 Raymond Njoku Ikoyi Lagos Telephone: 01-893-0723, 01-461-1941 Cell: 0706-585-9845 but most folks go for the latter, cos according to them, it's faster. BE TOLD! |
tolubillion: Hello house i need ur help to know the weight in Kg to carry on emirates airline for 4 of us(two adult and 2kids.planning to leave soon.tanksWhy not ask Emirates. They r in the best position to give you the right and authentic information. |

Lakeside4christ: Pls my gud pple i nid ur advice here...i won in d 2014 visa lottery nd my case num is 13**.bt my prbl is dat i dnt av money 2 process it nd dats bcus i dnt av anybdy dat can help me...sum pple av advice 2 go nd sumbdy dat av money so dat we can merge 2geda lyk husband nd wife bt am afraid bcus dey said dat if dose pple get dat we are nt legaly married on d interview day dey wil not giv us visa nd i dnt want 2 lose dis opportunity...pls my gr8 pple i nid ur respond urgently please! Please do not enter into fraudulent marriages in an attempt to bring another person to the United States, or because you do not have money to process it. You will end up with a charge of "attempted alien smuggling" on your record, and that will permanently bar you from entering the United States. The fake spouse in the case will end up with a charge of "material misrepresentation" and will also be permanently banned. Both of you will never be allowed to enter yankee for life. Using a fake name won't help in the future should you want to play smart, because your fingerprints and photo will be on file, forever. It's not worth it. Besides you don't require much funds for this once in a life opportunity which is one of the easiest path of becoming a yankee citizen. Go and borrow or sell your stuffs. If it's not possible then guy forget the whole process. It's not do or die affair. Be told. |
John Morgan: Below is a checklist of documents to bring to your interview. Please assemble them in the following order and bring original documents: |
John Morgan: Below is a checklist of documents to bring to your interview. Please assemble them in the following order and bring original documents:@ Morgan. U dey try. I think the normal way to respond to a comment is that ur response comes after the comment, not the other way round. Not after reading ur comment, we'll now see that u were actually responding to a comment. *just correcting* |

femishow2005: @kevwe_flex Nice responses. i like them keep it upThanks. |
lagdude: Thanks boss, really appreciate,my wife's CN is actually 2014AF0009***,necessary documents are intact but can one go ahead with the medical report without the embassy telling us to do so.thanks so much, await your urgent response.Embassy will not tell you when to go for your medicals. The thing is that, medicals has a life span of 6 months. So if you know you will be traveling soon as your visa is approved, you can go ahead and do it. But folks prefer to do it few weeks (like 2 weeks) to their interview so they can have at least 5 months plus of it before they travel. Something might hold you up before you travel, you never may know. So my candid advice is to wait till it's like 2 weeks to your interview before you do that. I think it takes about 3 business days to come out. |
seubis: Hello house,I m dv 2014 winner with case no 2014AF0002xx.I tried to check on the entrance status check to know if the 2NL has dropped but unfortunately when I entered my confirmation number and other details but the response I got was that the account is locked.pls I m worried because I still checked it yesteday morning and I still saw the 1st NL but when I tried to check back yesteday nite I was told the account is blocked.pls I m worried.help!!!!!!!WORRIED!!!!!!? If I were you, I'd be glad, from my experience in database, I believe your table is being updated to have your 2NL. Be glad and don't worry. Your CN is very low and you are gonna be the first set to be interviewed come October. Trust your documents are intact? |
Stillluvnaija: Stillluvnaija: femishow2005: @Stillluvnaija Avoid suspicious desperation from the COYou are right @femishow2005. I think I get what you are trying to tell Stillluvnaija. He sounds desperate in his comments. Even on paper, you can feel his desperation. Guy take am easy o. Whether dem born am for Naija or USA, d child go still be USA citizen after some years if dem grant una the visa. Simple. |
lagdude: Thanks for all round attention, first i need to know the meaning of 2NL,i think the embassy will notify the selectees on the hospital that you will have your medical and also necessary documents that will accompany the selectees for the interview and where is NPC's office in Lagos that i can authenticate our birth cert. You are welcome. 2NL is the short name we gave 2nd Notification Letter. Yes the embassy provided all that here: http://www.dvselectee.state.gov Then for NPC office in Lagos, I think the Lagos folks can help you with that. But I heard it's in Babs Animashaun in Surulere. |
Vikktorr: Well, I heard removing the lamination might destroy the certificate. Never tried this before though? So do you wanna give it a try now? Bro, take those documents there the way they are now. Don't tamper it. Or else you might jeopardize the whole process. It would just render the whole documents and credentials null and void and considered fraud. |
abiodunraufu: Does anybody know when and how selectees who are current for October will be notified?Go here: https://www.dvlottery.state.gov/ESC/ That was where you checked whether you won or not. So they will update it with you 2NL, stating where, when, time, with whom you are to come with (for family or couple), etc you will be interviewed. Best of God's favour. Remember, be sure to check regularly till your 2NL drops. |
Stillluvnaija: House, My wife has finally become current in Oct.(20140000052**) I have three questions.(1) Virtually anyone that submitted hardcopy of their forms sent "physical passports photographs". So it's not an issue. (2) The embassy's standard is NPC Attestation of birth certificate. So get yours and wify done. It shouldn't cost u more than 3k each. Whatever u had before (birth certificate) is not the lawfully one, it just serves as a reminder for your parents, everyone ought to register their birth with NPC. Hence the embassy would not need it even if u submitted it. (3) From experience of others, since your wife is almost due, the CO would ask u couple to return after your wife delivers, that way, you would need to get an int'l passport for your baby, pay visa fee, fill the necessary forms before the child and possibly you and wify are issued visa if not already issued. From others experience also, visa takes a week for it to be printed and picked up. I don't know if your interview will be 1st half or 2nd half of October. But logically, it should be 2nd half. Whatever the case, it's sure gonna be October as per the bulletin. God bless you. |
lagdude: Thanks for the info, but is it tha KCCDV has sent the forms to the CO here in Lagos or Abuja because October is just like 1 and half months away, like how many months will the selectee be given to prepare their documents for the interview.Once the embassy notify KCC the number of visas available for a particular month, I guess KCC now sends d form to embassy. When the cut-off numbers are released and your case number falls in that range it means you are current for that month and most likely going to have your interview. So for applicants with case number =<5000, u ve from now till October to get ur documents ready if they aren't. So if you were smart, you'd have started preparing your documents ever since you submitted your forms to KCC which I believe is an ample time. I don't think DVs are done in Abuja, I've not heard anybody going there for such case. I stand to be corrected. |
timimoyegun: Yes, its true. Financial statement is not required from dvPoint of correction: Affidavits of Support is not required from Nigerian dv applicants. |
Vikktorr: Hello People,Do you have other options? It's laminated, can u undo it? |
timimoyegun: Hi,Cut off numbers are released based on available visas for that month as communicated by the embassy or consulate. There's no formula for it. But what we do is permutate based on study of previous bulletins which obviously u did. So with that u could predict when ur CN will be current. |
Those whose case number is below or up to 5500 in Nigeria, good news. You are all current for October. That is DV 2014. Get your documents ready and prepare for your interviews for October. Remember, always come back with your testimony. God bless you all. |
slim85: Hello house, hope everone is fine?I just got this link from a friend and she said I can actually ask questions here and will get solution as regards lotter.pls house,m husband won d 2013 lottery and we got to know very late.the person who played for him was a friend and he used 1982 instead of 1980.so we r having issues and have actually been scheduled for interview on the 5th of August.his international passport just came out today(Friday)2nd of August just to correct his year of birth in Abuja but we have not done medicals and police report.can anthing be done before Monday aand I want to know if medicals can be done on Saturda.pls house,I need u all @ this time.pls email me on fynefola@yahoo.com or can we reschedule?cos I heard d dvlotter 2013 closes september 30th.pls house email me.I need ur help.thanks and God bless u all.All other documents are intact.Just rush down to Children's practice this morning-Saturday and get your medicals done. Yes u can do it on Saturday. Then head straight to Alagbon for Police report. Police report comes out same day. But the medical will have to be next week, hopefully and with God's intervention, it will be Monday. But one advice, never reschedule at all. It's very late and d windows of DV2013 will soon be shut and u may loose it. I think if the medicals is not ready by Monday, u guys can still go to the embassy for the interview. I read a testimony here on this forum of someone who had to rush down to the Hospital on the day of his interview, he got the visa. So go with ur Int'l Passports and passport photographs and all related docs for ur medicals and police today. What abt ur NPC birth certificate or attestation? God favours u all as u go. |

Sometimes we issue to people who shouldn't receive visas, and sometimes we fail to issue visas to people who would be great travellers.
