Politics › Re: Bridge Linking Anambra To Imo State - Collapsed By Heavy Truck. Photos by Kfed4ril(m): 12:23pm On May 02, 2018 |
kolawoleibukun: Igbos are like disease to their own selves. They will spray money on others at weddings. Spend millions to marry a girl. Show off in luxury fleets and build exorbitant mansions in foreign.
In their own hometown, they will build second-class homes and fence it off. But the roads leading to their homes are piles of mess. They do not want the poor to benefit from their own wealth. They want to give salt and bread to the poor so as to be perpetually praised and held in high regards.
Look at their roads and bridges. Everyone cares about his personal cash. But the ogbo man is the first to contribute for any devopment in Lagos. Wherever there is no light, igbo man will move in there and personally pay for NEPA connection. The igbo man will aggitate for the construction of bridges in Lagos. They complain of traffic jam hence the government makes the moves.
Unfortunately in their own states, nothing moves. The only governor to have made major changes in the east is Sullivan who constructed roads which had been a major setback for Enugu state.
Okorocha built a statute of Zuma, a man regarded as a criminal in his own hometown. There is no agitation and no conscience at all. Funny enough people go to take selfies by these statutes of criminals.
The on-goings in Anambra is like a war of thugs. Everyone is choked up in his own pride. They want to measure up with the next person. Everyone wants to step on someone and no one wants to be stepped on. The spirit on negative competition. In all the money and boasts from Anambrarians, Anambra is still an eye-sore giving that development of the Igbos began started from there. The earliest top easterners who rose to the helms of any government position or who height of capitalism came from Anambra. They boast of it and they fail to realize that is it a curse. The very first president, first governor general, first senate president and first millionaire or billionaire all came from Anambra. But go to Anambra today, more than a half of her children are outside the state. They have invested trillions elsewhere. They cannot live in the mansions that they build in their hometown. It is like a curse. They are hugely involved in rituals and unscrupulous means of earnings. The average Anambrarian has dual-religion and is supportive of illegality.
People from Imo state have danced their waists to foolery. Imo and Abia are beautiful. They are the most beautiful of all Igbos. . But to what end? When you talk of Handicraft, Abia is grade-A. They create and they are decent. But, when the head is twisted the brain moves along with it. People from Imo state have used their traditional to destroy themselves. The tradition and attitudes are very bad. Gossip and evil-oriented agendas have destroyed those people. They cannot move forward. Owerri is the helm of success in those places yet who wants to go to Owerri? No one!
The east is not a choice place to live for the average Igbo man. They are all seeking greener pastures elsewhere.
This bridge has been this way for years but no one cares. They will rather seek alternative route than repair a place that is not their very own plot.
Shame on the pride of igbos. It has eaten up your success.
Do not blame the government for everything. Lagos was not developed by the government, but by the people. Igbos inclusive. Igbos have developed even badagry. Today, there is not boundary between Lagos and Ogun state thanks to Igbos. Soon, there will be no border between Seme and Cotonou, thanks to Igbos.
This is Igbo through the eyes of an outsider. Oga go Bleep yourself, and for your mind that is the Main bridge connecting Imo and Anambra? Everyday I keep hearing “Igbo is their own problem”. Guy, Your own tribe who is there problem? Why don’t you people face your own problem and leave the igbo man to his. Hypocrites everywhere. |

While Bassey was busy attending conferences and stood me up on the first day of shoot (I eventually took the role while directing what was my first movie CLAUSE & CONSEQUENCE) Uriel was busy soliciting for welcome party from the Imo State Government. Only few of those who live in Kubwa, Wuse II in Abuja can afford to live in Aerodrome, Ibadan. Again I’m asking you why involve wuse II to this, anybody that can pay house rent for wuse II can stay in any part of Ibadan. How much is a 3bed self in your almighty Aerodrome? |

DoTheNeedful: What is special about Abuja? It's like you don't know Ibadan. Ibadan has many of the nice structures you see in Abuja. At least, there is hardly any corner I don't know in both places as I have lived there. The only difference is that the developed part of Abuja is far larger than Ibadan. Don't buy into the lies some tribalists are peddling about Ibadan here. Bro I served in Ibadan lemme tell you now, forestry research institute in Jericho so I know Ibadan as well, my problem is when you said people who stay in wuse II can’t afford Jericho that was when I became mad. Bro anybody that can afford rent in Garki, can afford anywhere in Ibadan talkless of Wuse II or Asokoro abi maitama. |

Travel › Re: Moving From Lagos To Ibadan. What Areas In Ibadan Are Best To Live And Why? by Kfed4ril(m): 10:50pm On Apr 13, 2018 |
aywhy93: I was Born and Brought up in Ibadan and I know IB City In and out... And I've also been to so many places in the Country and I must say, people have a very distorted view about Ibadan. There are places in Ibadan that has the same atmosphere with that of Lekki, Magodo, VI, etc in Lagos. The same way there are ghetto and slums too that competes with those in Lagos as well.
For example, It's almost impossible for an averagely rich person who lives in Magodo or some parts of Lekki in Lagos or even someone who lives in Kubwa or Wuse II in Abuja to afford living comfortably in Aerodrome in Ibadan, only if you're really super rich and can stay rich for years.
So, to those that see Ibadan mainly and only as a city of brown roofs... May Sense fall on y'all. AMEN Oga is like you have never been to Abuja, you just here it, how the Bleep to you add wuse II to that list. Do you know what kind of fuckery that is. |
