The courts have variously struck down the requirement for Police permit for such protests as unconstitutional and a repression of the people's right to freely express themselves. The duty of the Police during such protests is merely to provide protection for the protesters and nothing more.

Laolu Akande, the senior special assistant-media and publicity to acting president Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has reacted to the proposed anti-government protest to be led by popular musician Tuface Idibia on February 6.

Speaking on Channels TV programme ‘Sunrise Daily’, Akande said that the people have the right to protest, adding that the presidency is not going to stop people from expressing their fundamental human rights.

He said: ''Presidency is not going to stop people from expressing their fundamental human rights.''

That's the man! Buhari is a disappointment. He has disappointed everybody who voted for him because of the over-hyped integrity ascribed to him. He has disappointed Nigerians who had hope in the change he claimed he was bringing to the table. Nothing good can come out of Buhari and his APC-led government anymore. Anybody still placing hope on this government for a better Nigeria should perish the thought. It ain't gonna happen.

Nigeria’s minister of information, culture and tourism Lai Mohammed has admitted that the ruling party was overwhelmed with the level of madness, indiscipline and impunity in Nigeria.

According to him, the party was not prepared for the level of rot the administration met on ground when they came into power in 2015.

He, however, claimed that the change the ruling party promised Nigerians has started manifesting.

We did not know before we came in that there was no savings at all, we did not know before we came in, the madness and scale of indiscipline and impunity.

“ So if anybody says we are overwhelmed, yes we are overwhelmed but not by the work but by the level of rottenness and we want to clean this rottenness and this is what we have been doing. It doesn’t matter what vision you have but if you don’t have the money to execute, its as if you are doing nothing,” he said.

I cannot read all the nonsense spewed by the lieing Minister of Disinformation, Lai Mohammed. Which change has come? Negative or positive change? Someone should tell this liar that campaigns are over. Corruption which this deceitful government promised to fight is now so rife that Buhari's kitchen cabinet is leading the corruption crew. Right now, the country is in a mess. Mohammed should go tell his story of change to the dullardino himself.

That boy should be summarily dismissed from the Army and prosecuted. The uniform intoxicated him to the extent of assaulting a defenceless civilian without justification. This is the only sanction fit for the injury unnecessarily inflicted on that lady by the power drunk military boy.

Petition Against Dr Kayode Fayemi by The Ekiti State House of Assembly; a Reminder.

We are here to remind the EFCC about our Petition submitted to their office since October 27th 2016 against the former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi who is now a Minister of Solid minerals of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This petition been the 3rd in the series, (One by the Executive arm Of Govt and 2 from the EKHA) has received no Attention since and left in the cooler By EFCC.

This Petition borders on Various allegations of financial mismanagement in the state during the tenure of Dr Fayemi and most especially the Fraudulent missapropriation of the SUBEB counterpart fund which has led to the blacklisting of Ekiti State since 2013 with serious collateral damages on the primary education sector, the pupils, The teachers, parents and local contractors.

Dr Kayode Fayemi through the wrong handling of this fund breeded poverty in Ekiti State with its attendant consequences on part1, Section 2, of the UBEC act 2004, which guarantee a RIGHT to compulsory free primary Education for all pupils in Ekiti state.

This RIGHT has been abridged, pruned, curtailed and truncated by the actions of Dr Fayemi and the inaction of EFCC to give succour and justice to these less privilege pupils and children of Ekiti state

The APC led federal govt should stop playing to the gallery or been an ostrich on corruption matters that has to do with their officials in Govt.

Their penchant for double face anti corrruption crusade must stop. The Federal Govt should not give the country an impression that they harbour and tolerate corrupt officials. This is unacceptable.

This selective anticorruption fight has turned Nigeria into a laughing stock in the comittee of Nations since the FG has given to the citizens, an impression that some people are above the law. This is also not acceptable.

It's only the APC led FG that fights allegations of corruption among the opposition with Suphuric Acid while using Cold Water to fight corruption among his own people in govt. This is Deceit and double standards.

The EKHA support an all inclusive anti coruption crusade and we say NO to Favouritism and SELECTIVISM by The FG.

The EFCC as a matter of urgency SHOULD investigate Dr Kayode Fayemi and bring him to book if guilty otherwise we will compel them to be alive to their responsibilities under the Constitution of the FRN and the EFCC act 2004.

This Adesina sef. He is still in election mode as well. The views expressed by Femi Adesina on a radio programme cannot equal to reaction of the FG on the planned protest. People reserves the right to protest against bad government policies.

This protest couldn't have come at a better time. Actually, PMB should relinguish power. He is not suited for 21st century governance. Under him, Nigeria have receded in developmental strides while the economy is comatose. Nigerians have never had it this bad.

This governor is very petty. Such closure will not stand. Government is guided by laws and rules in it's dealings with institutions and not on the whims and caprices of one deluded governor acting out a mindless vengeance. The proprietors of those schools will be advised to challenge the irrational decision of that so called governor in court.

The Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, on Monday met behind closed doors with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; and the Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, Rochas Okorocha.

The meeting which lasted about 30minutes was held inside Osinbajo’s office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

At the end of the meeting, Dogara did not speak with journalists.

He said he only accompanied Okorocha who is the Imo State Governor to visit Osinbajo.

Speaking on the call for Igbo President, the governor told State House correspondents that that could only come up at the end of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said, “What I do know is that Ndigbo should talk about Presidency after President Muhammadu Buhari. I think we should support this government.

“President Muhammadu Buhari has a tenure to work for: four or eight years.

“According to the zoning arrangement and everybody should follow the zoning although I am not an advocate of zoning.”

Okorocha said efforts were ongoing to reposition the ruling All Progressives Congress in the South East.

He reiterated his position that some governors in the zone would be joining APC soon.

He said, “The APC as a party is strong in the South East. We are trying to rebuild the party and redefine leadership so there will be no confusion.

“As to whether the APC in the South East is in disarray as the case has always been, we want to have a united party in the South East.

“We are hopeful from all discussions that about two governors will be joining us in the South East to strengthen the party.

“Right now, we have agreed that Senator Ken Nnamani should take a lead of the party in the South East to enable us have a common understanding, along with other leaders like Chief Jim Nwobodo.”

When confronted with the fact that some governors had denied his claim, Okorocha said, “I don’t think it is true, but if it is true it is probably because it is not time. It could be because I spoke when they were not yet ready.”

Okorocha is a clown. The claim by Imo State PDP that he launched the supposed Imo Air in readiness for his campaign for the Presidency in 2019 instead of praying for the sick President must have rattled him real bad. His visit to Osinbajo is probably a fence mending one. He couldn't even go alone. He had to solicit the assistance of Dogara. APC in the South East is a no no. Okorocha is deluding himself to think otherwise.

Things weren't cheap then. A friend told me his dad bought a Peugeot 505 in 1984 for around N25000.
