PoliticsRe: Is $1 To N500 Ok?: Nigerians Protest At CBN Headqueters, Abuja (Photos) by Kiakia(m): 3:42pm On Jan 27, 2017
The protests may degenerate into revolutuon. Nigeria is ripe for revolution, actually. Unless the greedy, often recycled, politicians who holds the nation hostage are done away with, the country will continue to witness economic mess, corruption in high and low places, double digit inflation and all manner of inadequacies bedevilling Nigeria. Revolution is the way out now.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Ranks 136th In Corruption Perceptions Index 2016 by Kiakia(m): 11:59am On Jan 27, 2017
todaynewsreview:
Nigeria has been ranked 136th in Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index 2016, retaining the same spot it was in the 2015 index despite the anti corruption fight by the government.

According to the results, Nigeria shared the 136th rank with Guatemala, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Myanmar and Papua New Guinea.

In 2016 results, Denmark ranked as the top country on the index with a score of 90, followed by New Zealand and Finland.

The lowest ranking countries, meanwhile, were North Korea, South Sudan and Somalia with scores of 12, 11 and 10 respectively.

“This year’s results highlight the connection between corruption and inequality, which feed off each other to create a vicious circle between corruption, unequal distribution of power in society, and unequal distribution of wealth,” the survey stated, adding that over two-thirds of the 176 countries fell below the midpoint of the scale of 0 (highly corrupt) to 100 (very clean).

“More countries declined than improved in this year’s results, showing the urgent need for committed action to thwart corruption,” it added.

This international rating has punctured the so called anti-corruption drive of the very incompetent APC-led government. Nigeria is indeed a corrupt-laden country. Buhari cannot do anything about it. He even condones corruption among his kitchen cabinet.

MissEdified:
Former President Yahya Jammeh has donated all his proceeds harvested from the 2016 farms to President Adama Barrow to be distributed to women in the small West African country.

Jammeh stated this on Gambian state TV over the weekend.

He said: “I hereby wish President Adama Barrow all the best from the bottom of my heart. The Almighty Allah has decided, and I will be found wanting if I as a Muslim and a former president do not sincerely wish him and his administration all the best”.

“On this note, I hereby donate to President Adama Barrow all the rice that is harvested in my Vision 2016 farms. This is the entire harvest for him to give to women who have been helping at the farms in CRR - Central River Division”.

No sir, they forgot that after the election a government would have to be ran, people had to feed, travel and do business they thought the whole country will be trekking from one place to the other like lagos to abuja in celebration on their victory for 4 years!!! Even tinubu forgot to plan for a government after the elections, all he was interested in was winning thats all.
This people never planned for governance because they never thought they will win. Confusion set in after the victory, and Nigeria is the worse for it. Buhari is not just it!

Poll Vote!

This is absurd. Clearly a case of hypocrisy and insensitivity. Can't do without Buhari in 2019! What a joke!
PoliticsRe: Reps Pass Confidence Vote On Buhari by Kiakia(m): 4:54pm On Jan 26, 2017
What does vote of confidence mean? Does it obliterate the fact that the Buhari administration is on a downward trend following the inability of his government to curb suffering in the land occasioned by his incompetence and dullardly disposition to governance? This Reps should be recalled by their constituencies ASAP for condoning mediocrity.

PoliticsRe: I Have Not Visited Buhari In London – Idris, IGP by Kiakia(m): 2:13pm On Jan 26, 2017
metroblogger:
The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris has debunked the media report that said he led “a high powered delegation to visit President Muhammadu Buhari in London.

President Muhammadu Buhari is on a two week vacation in London and doubts have been raised about his true state of health.

Idris, in a statement signed by Don Awunah, Force Public Relations Officer said contrary to media report, he was in London on an official visit to London on the invitation of SO15, the London Metropolitan Police Service.

The SO15 is part of the Metropolitan Police Service Counter Terrorism Command that works for the protection of London and the United Kingdom, against threats of terrorism.

“Contrary to the compelling objectives of the planned visit, however, some sections of the Nigerian online and print media are disseminating invented and incorrect stories, and misrepresenting facts regarding the official visit of the IGP to the United Kingdom.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the IGP did not lead “a high powered delegation” to visit President Mohammadu Buhari, who is on vacation in London. The visit of IGP to London while the President is on vacation is merely coincidental. The statement read

Nigeria is country of absurdities. This APC government, headed by an aloof and laisse-affaire Buhari, have compounded matters the more for hapless Nigerians. However, the citizens of this country will express their displeasure with their votes in 2019.

There is a fundamental problem with the black man, especially the ones that come from Nigeria. How many planes were acquired to run this airline? One? If only one, how does the government intend to recoup investment and make profit? What is the traffic by air to imo state daily? What are the possibilities of having full boarding on each trip? It's common knowledge that Nigeria has one of the most expensive aviation fuel price, and most foreign airlines stop over to refuel at Ghana cos refueling there is cheaper. Now, with the high cost of aviation fuel, the economic recession that has led to a drop in air travel due to prices of air fares soaring higher, where does this leave the state government? We haven't even factored in the percentage the operators would charge... This to me, looks like an investment made to loot the state treasury. It's just a conduit pipe to launder money.
Quite right. You made pertinent observations. The project is misguided and ill-advised at this time. The governor keeps thinking out ideas that bears no relevance to good administration of the state.

I noticed the inscription too. Imo Air, Dana Air all written on the body of the plane. Does the aircraft belong to Imo Air or Dana Air? Is Imo Air a registered company? If Imo wants to own an airline, it should own same wholly. This may be a scam orchestrated to hoodwink Imo people, and in the process, drain the resources of Imo State.

'New Gambian president's pick for VP appears to be in breach of the country's constitution. Sections 62/1 and 70/2 establish an age limit of 65 years. Fatoumatta Tambajang is 68'

You are probably not from Imo State. Owerri was not dirty and smelling even under Ikedi Ohakim administration. He instituted what he called 'clean and green' initiative. I do not even want to go back to late Sam Mbakwe's government when Owerri was adjudged the cleanest state capital in the entire country. So, get your facts right, young man.

ORO*OOO, and Imo Air.

Is Okorocha not planning to build another airport in Owerri? He has built underground roads in Owerri, perhaps planning to build underground Metro Transportation in Owerri to be called: Imo Metro.

Rocha the governor who bought hundreds of buses and taxis and limited their services to only the state capital. Imo people living outside the state capital are useless people in Gov. Okorocha's estimation.

A governor who does not see anything beyond his state capital.

A governor who does not move beyond the state capital unless he is going to his Ideato home.

A gov who in the state capital destroys state libraries to build new one while there's no state library outside the state capital.

Okorocha who destroys existing roads in the state capital to build boulevards while inhabitants of other towns in Imo contribute money to build their own roads.
The buses are no longer visible on the roads.
