From my own point of view, people complaining from the other region are just too petty in that they don't want to blame the governors for the lack of development in their region, considering the governors are their "brother's", so they look for a suitable "scapegoat" to lay the blames on

The first time a gov emerged from Owerri zone, Evan Enwerem, his actions and inaction left Orlu on the deplorable condition Orlu is in today.

In 20 months as governor, Enwerem refused to start work on Orlu zonal water supply project of IMSG. He refused to complete the urban roads and drainage system he inherited from Ikwechegh. But in 30 months,
Mbakwe built the zonal water supply projects of Aba, Owerri, Umuahia and neared completion of Okigwe zonal water project. Next, Mbakwe wanted to start work on was Orlu zonal water project but military take over came.

Presence of a durable public water supply system in a place contributes loads to rapid development of the place.
Enwerem refused to locate IMSU in Orlu zone, as Owerri zone had Futo, Nekede Poly and Alvan.

All these led to stagnation in Orlu, and migration of people from Orlu zone to Owerri.
Subsequent govs had to battle with providing social amenities to the increasing population and rapid urban expansion of Owerri.
Okigwe and Orlu were relegated to the back door.

All the protests against Supreme Court judgement is from the section of Owerri which championed the location of all govt development projects in Owerri. They want to use Ihedioha to consolidate the trend of devt infrastructures in Imo state must be for only Owerri area.

Govs from Imo state have been constrained by Owerri to be building Owerri state capital since Abia and Afikpo were cut out from old Imo state.

It's only a fraudulent gov who would abandon Okigwe regional surface water supply project and go to sink water boreholes instead for public water supply for people in Okigwe senatorial zone.

Orlu has people far behind in development politics.

Only Orlu person will tell you that they have private water boreholes everywhere in Orlu, therefore they want roads first, not public water supply system.

The Orlu man never understands that indiscriminate sinking of water boreholes can cause landslides that cause the roads to collapse. He doesn't understand that untreated water from boreholes are deadly.

My prayer is for Owerri people blink an eye and help Orlu people save Orlu area from total wreck.

total number of registered voters =492, whereas the APC scored 819 votes
and PDP scored 7 votes,
meaning 334 more votes than registered voters!

On page 22 of the record, at the polling unit 285 (Obudi/Aro, Central Assembly Square,
registered voters = 449
APC polled 780 votes
PDP polled four votes, leaving a total of 335 votes higher than the actual number of registered voters.

Also on page 22 of the petition, polling unit 282
number of registered voters = 591,
APC polled 586 votes
PDP nine votes, indicating a total of four votes higher than the registered number of voters.

Figures from page 79 of the record of appeal show:
Registered voters = 526
APC got 526 votes, while PDP was credited with two votes, indicating two votes higher than the total number of registered voters in the area.”

Imo Guber: How Supreme court erred in computation of results

*Declared more votes than accredited voters
*Failed to interrogate petitioners’ evidence
*Avoided mentioning figures in a written judgment

Facts have emerged that the Supreme Court failed to do a thorough mathematical computation of the results of the election but relied only on the wrong computations submitted by Sen. Hope Uzodinma to declare him the duly-elected governor of Imo State...

Both the EPT and the Appeal Court dismissed the petition for lacking in merit.

By relying on the faulty tabulation made by Sen. Uzodinma, the Supreme Court arrived at a figure of 950,952 total votes cast at the election, which is more than the total votes cast at the election totalling 823,743.

This gave rise to 127,209 excess votes at the election as affirmed by the Supreme Court, which all through avoided mentioning figures regarding the votes cast for the disputants or the total registered voters and valid and invalid votes in the judgment.

Summary of events in Imo:


PDP massively rigged the votes in Ihedioha's federal constituency, yet Ihedioha did not meet the constitutional requirement to be declared winner.

INEC erroneously pronounced Ihedioha elected.

Supreme Court judges pronounced judgement based on arguments from lawyers of all sides, and based on figures before them.

Ihedioha now turns around and says: oh, Uzodinma presented false votes.

International what? Did the international know that all legal teams to the petition exhausted their arguments before the Supreme Court judgement?

Did they know Emeka Ihedioha first started rigging of votes in his home constituency?

Did the international know that Ihedioha didn't win governorship election in Imo state, didn't meet the constitutional requirement of 25% of votes in 2/3 of the number of local government areas of Imo state, yet INEC declared Ihedioha winner?

Your international didn't know that APC controlled Imo state before the election, and that PDP never won Imo governorship election after 2003.

A careful reading of this response by APC shows the party knew there are irregularities of fundamental nature in the supreme Court judgement on the I'm elections matter but since those irregularities were not directly the point of uzodima's appeal the supreme Court should overlook it n stick to their very flawed judgement because it suit Apc,how on Earth can you have a result where only uzodima's votes are recorded, where the votes cast supercede the registered voters n yet you expect it to be accepted with out questions been asked,but I don't blame Apc rather I blame the supreme Court for their very poor foresight n analysis before deciding y a judgement.

In Ihedioha's senatorial zone, the votes written for Ihedioha were more than the registered voters.
