247naijamedia: Buhari Absent At Tinubu’s Colloquium - Photos
President Muhammadu Buhari is absent at the colloquium of Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The colloquium holds annually to mark the birthday of the former Lagos governor.
This year’s colloquium, which has the theme “Next Level: Work For People”, is ongoing at the International Conference Center (ICC), Abuja .
It is not clear why the president is not at the event but Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo is standing in for Buhari who is supposed to be the chairman of the event.
This year’s colloquium is focusing on jobs and the economy. The organisers said they are using the programme as an avenue to showcase government’s efforts to add millions of jobs over the next four years.

You can't compare him to the likes you got in APC, the people rejected him and he agreed to leave them unlike Amaechi Akpabio and co. He deserves to be hailed. He's a democrat People rejected Saraki? For who? What sort of people would reject a Saraki to represent them? Without the guts of Saraki/Ekweremadu, Nigeria would have since become another Uganda under Idi Amin. PrettyCrystal: An agent of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lost his hand following the widespread violence and unchecked intimidation of voters during Saturday’s supplementary governorship election in Kano state.
It was gathered that the agent was attacked by thugs and had his hand cut off for reportedly supporting the opposition party. He was rushed to the hospital where he is recovering from the injury sustained.
Meanwhile, violence erupted in Kano as can be seen in the videos below, following the declaration of incumbent governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as winner of the governorship election in Kano State, thereby returning him for a second term in office.
Aggrieved people turned out in large numbers and were desperate to force their way into the state INEC office, but for the timely intervention of the police, who had also positioned themselves in some places around the state INEC office.

Culture › Re: Meet The Koma People Of Adamawa State Where Cloth Is A Prized Possession (Photo) by kikake: 3:43pm On Mar 25, 2019 |
collinsuchendu: From: collinsuchendusblog.com
The Koma people became recognized as Nigerians in 1961, a year after independence, along with the old provinces of Northern Cameroon. Today Koma is part of the seven districts of Ganye local government in Adamawa State.
Koma is a relatively primitive hill-dwelling ethnic group in Northern Adamawa, in the Atlantika Mountains, which shares a border with Southern Cameroun. Hill-dwellers are spread through the South and South-West of these mountains, including many on the Cameroonian side.
There are 21 Koma villages in the Cameroonian side of the Alantika Mountains and 17 villages on the Nigerian side.
The Koma have their own language, known as Koma, with an estimated 61,000 speakers. It is a member of the Niger–Congo language group.
They are committed to their traditional culture. The men wear loincloths and women wear fresh leaves. Koma men are much more receptive to wearing of contemporary clothes than the women.
The belief still holds firmly that if women wear clothes, they would incur the wrath of the gods with visitation of either death or barrenness.
When the government authorities made it mandatory in some markets for people to put on clothes, the women would put cloth wrappers over the leaves only in the market, and remove them on their way back to the hills.
As a mark of acceptance and friendship, a Koma man may share his wife with friends, especially visitors.
Among the Komas, a twin birth is regarded as evil, and twins are considered abominable so much so that until recently babies of multiple births used to be buried alive with the women who had the 'misfortune' of being their mothers.
This obnoxious practice of twins killing is out of vogue among Komas who dwell on the plains, but in the out-of-the-way settlements on the hills, the ancient practice still thrives without obstruction.

jamesnews0001: The main opposition candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State, Senator Jeremiah Useni has rejected the final outcome of the result of the gubernatorial election and has vowed to reclaim his mandate in the tribunal. He also assured the citizenry and the teaming party supporters in the State that the party will pursue the matter diligently.
Useni stated this while addressing journalists in Jos, the State Capital.
It would be recalled that in the early hours of Sunday, the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared the incumbent Governor and candidate of the APC, Simon Lalong, winner of the election, after polling 595, 587 votes, while his closest rival and candidate of the main opposition PDP, Senator Jeremiah Useni, got 546, 813 votes.
The PDP candidate, however said, “My team and I have gone through both the official results released by INEC and documents submitted by our own field staff; we have every reason to believe that justice has not been done to our people in this election, because there was massive rigging and electoral shortcomings.
“After due consultation, I hereby state that the results announce by INEC is not acceptable to us.
“Consequently, we have requested our legal team to activate all the due processes to reclaim our cherished mandate.”
“I give you my word that we will pursue this matter diligently, and by the grace of God, we will overturn and recover the peoples mandate”, Useni assured.

"At no time in history has sustainable peace been built on theft, injustice, corruption and inequity.”. ----Olusegun Obasanjo.
Tell the above to the Muhammadu Buharis of northern Nigeria who believe that Nigeria's skewed political structure and unitary governance system based on corruption, injustice and inequity, can be sustained for long with jet fighters, military tanks and naval ships of Nigeria's armed forces.
Northern soldiers who created the political structure created failure of Nigeria. |

Inequity.
The inequity in having 20 states in one northern region but only 17 states in the southern regions ensures that even a cow from Fulani led northern region must win a professor of law or economics from southern Nigeria in Nigeria's presidential election.
Equity between the northern and southern regions of Nigeria should have been the yardstick to create states and local govt areas, not land mass or population.
