To bribe people of Owerri zone to effect his political dynasty plan, Okorocha did nearly all his government's development efforts on Owerri zone but used his Orlu zone as footmat, towns and local government areas in Orlu zone deteriorated.

Fani-Kayode was reacting to a 24-second video clip culled from Channels Television where the governor was caught lamenting and almost “crying” over an alleged militarization of 2019 general elections in his state.

Referring to him as Judas, the PDP chieftain said Okorocha was one of the powerful founding members of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), as such he shouldn’t be complaining.

He wrote on his Facebook page: “Listen to this useful idiot and accursed slave speaking against those he helped put in power.

“He is the Judas of the east and one of the three biggest traitors of the south. May the Lord pay him according to his works.”

If Okorocha had also developed Orlu, even half as he did in Owerri, but he rather stifled the govt development projects in Orlu.
He believed that he could co-opt Owerri into his political dynasty business.

You guys keep saying udenwa build this and enwerem build that, but, where are those things now? I don't see anything each and everytime I go home. You see, the problems are so vast, it's impossible for one man to sit in the governors office seat in the state capital and start developing the entire state including it's other cities. It's really a joke to think that, that's doable.

Now, it's possible for nigerian state governors to build roads here and there. But, you have to consider that, only maybe 1% of imo state roads have been tarred. Yes 1%. If imo state, was in a western country, all the roads where you have human habitation would have been tarred. That will be tantamount to tarring all roads in all our villages and cities, and I mean, every single one of them.

We MUST change our mindset to make progress or there won't be any progress till thy kingdom come.
You asked for things ex governor Udenwa built.
They include:
Imo state government Secretariat Owerri.

New markets in Owerri.

First Expansion of Owerri to now New Owerri.

Sustained the multi million dollars Owerri regional surface water supply system.

Completion of the multi million dollars Okigwe Surface Water Supply Project started by gov Mbakwe.

Too many inter-local government and Inter-state state roads.

Imo state University Teaching Hospital, Orlu.

Imo International Market Orlu.

A housing estate in Okporo Orlu to have accommodated staff of Imo state university teaching hospital.

Construction of too many urban roads in Owerri, Okigwe and Orlu.

Too many public water boreholes across Imo state.

But today, only the projects of Udenwa in Owerri have been sustained by his successors. Udenwa's successors could not sustain the all important water supply systems of Okigwe and Owerri.

Damn.
Govts set the stage for a locality to emerge as modern town or city.
If govt did not provide Owerri regional water supply system in the 1980s, did not locate universities, etc in Owerri, the town of Owerri would not grow 1/10th of what it's today, despite being state capital.

Okorocha concentrated from in developing of Owerri where Mbakwe, Enwerem, Udenwa stopped in building infrastructures in Owerri, alienating Orlu and Okigwe areas.

If Ihedioha who emerged governor largely because of equity, refuses to provide water supply, tertiary education institutions etc in Orlu zone, infrastructures that have for long been taken for granted in Owerri zone, he ought to know what the immediate consequences shall be.

Yes, Urban towns, Cities and LGAs are supposed to generate their incomes to develop their localities.

But in Imo state, we have an absurd situation where state governors collect the allocations of LGAs and the state, use part of the allocations on lavishing building infrastructures in the state capital, scratch a few roads and market stalls and roundabouts outside the state capital, then pocket much of the rest.
People of the state capital and paid sycophants of the governor sing praises of the governor.

Politics › Re: Uche Nwosu Won Imo Governorship Election - Okorocha Insists by kikake:
kahal29:
Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has declared his son-in-law and candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), Uche Nwosu won Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

“I say so because going by the actual calculation, the person that won this election is Ugwumba Uche Nwosu.

“Uche Nwosu won the election landslide, if you remove the manipulation results from Mbaise, Uche Nwosu won with over 50,000 votes, if you cannot declare him a winner because you have someone already, then they should go for a rerun because you cannot change the Constitution if the Federal Republic of Nigeria because you want to favour a candidate,” he insisted.

He said Nwosu was rigged out of victory by the Governor-elect Emeka Ihedioha in connivance with Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Professor Francis Ezeonu.

He accused Ezeonu of working for PDP, saying he wrecked democracy with his complicity in alleged electoral manipulations.

According to him: “The REC has shown he was brought to Imo after the 2015 election to return PDP to power in the state.

“The REC had acted illegally by ignoring the provision of the Constitution that makes it mandatory for a candidate to have 25 percent in 2/3 of the Local Governments in the State by announcing the PDP candidate, Emeka Ihedioha who only met the requirement in 9 Local Governments instead of 18 LGAs which is 2/3 of 27 LGAs winner.”

Okorocha also wondered why the REC should accept the outrageous figures from the three Local Governments Areas of Aboh Mbaise, Ahiazu Mbaise and Ezinihitte where the PDP candidate got 64,219 votes from Aboh Mbaise alone.

He stated the figures from the three LGAs constituted 50 percent of the total votes got by the PDP candidate in the State with 27 LGAs.

“In the course of this manipulation, we all observed that the REC decided not to use the collation officers from Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), which he disbanded for reasons he gave that they have met with politicians.

“Again, he brought some people whom he introduced from the University of Agriculture Umudike.

“They arrived just a night before the election date and we thought we have gotten the collation officers. Again, those ones were disbanded on the same reason that they have met with politicians, I wonder how this is possible having arrived the state after midnight on the election eve.

“Now the REC went to his own University in Awka to bring in collation officers.

“We believed him not knowing that he brought people he has been training for a hatched job for some weeks now in Anambra State to come and carry out this injustice in Imo State.

“These men arrived with heavy security from Anambra and went straight to the various Local Governments.

“We never knew that these were relatives of the PDP candidate and from the same Local Government. These are relatives of the PDP Candidate who were already briefed of what to do.

“This explains the over voting witnessed in Mbaise. Out of the 270,000 votes that he scored, 50 percent of it or over 130,000 all came from just three local governments of Mbaise”, he stated.

He added “As far as I am concerned and we still maintain that REC has wrecked democracy in Imo State. Unfortunately for them, they were not smart enough to know that section 179 requires you to have a spread at least in 2/3 of the local governments before you can be declared a winner.

“They ended up with only 9 local governments instead of 18 required by law. The Returning Officer was advised by all the Senior Staff of INEC against declaring a winner without looking at the Constitution.

“This man in a hurry decided to announce the result against the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
.

“This is wrong, in doing so, the Returning Officer didn’t even consider the results cancelled, total voters cancelled in the different Polling Booths, was enough to declare the election inconclusive as the difference between the PDP and AA would have called for a supplementary election. With the speed with which he announced the result tells you that the man is part of the game. This again is unacceptable to all of us,” he said.

they are just trying to revive okorocha politically. he will go to court and claim his mandate (stollen or deserved) and then feel like a winner again. where the the REC declared the result, inec office or okorochas house?
So if they make you a Returning officer, a contestant forged numbers of votes, you declare him winner and ask other contestants to go to court?
Why then did they employ you as an umpire for the election?

The Returning officer saw the fraud, asked to be left to report to his superior at hqs. He was refused, and forced to announce the forged figures. But before he announced the result he said he was under duress to announce the result, thereby first tactically declared the result null, void and of no effect.

but divide other smaller northern US states into two New states each....

Then 25% votes must be won in 2/3 of the number of US States before a US presidential candidate can win presidential election.

Use quota system.

Then US central govt gets revenues from all the US states and share to the States.

That day any soldier created this type of political structure is the day the US must break into pieces to many new countries.

But that's like what northern Nigeria soldiers created in Nigeria's political structure and govt system beginning 1967 to 1996 as they created twenty states in one northern region, but created 17 states in the southern regions.

Fulani which controls much of Northern region thus draws excess political representation from the northern states to spit fire and decide what can be in Nigeria.

without insisting that the rogue political structure be restructured democratically till now.

Northern political class therefor grabs political power at will through the lopsided political structure.

Land mass or population is never used as yardstick to create new political units in a country formed by diverse regions.

There should have been more States in the southern regions than in the northern region of Nigeria.
