OP, I won't berate you for giving him the silent treatment. It's better to do that than lose your cool when talking to him about it.
Do whatever you need to do to regain your sanity and have that discssuion with him without flaring up but still being firm and direct. You also don't need to be rude and don't ever sweep the issue under the carpet. |

MRBrownJ: if you think you can solve anything with silent treatment then no wonder your hubby is not faded!
btw why go snooping if you aint going to do anything WORTHY about the dirt you find? you should have just ignore his phone and live stress free!
if you aint willing to FIGHT for your family, then you should have stayed single. Bullshit |

I'm trying to get to the root of the problem and since her husband isn't here it's only her I can address. Sorry 5 mins, that's exactly what you were trying to do. Trying to pin the blame down on her at all cost. Must it be her fault? Lemme continue reading....just had to point out that part to you. |

KillerBeauty: Dear op First things first, work on your cv. Give it to a professional to have a look, use Google to search for cv samples. Make sure your cv is appealing to the eyes and standard. You will be surprise the kind of response u will get after that. Also, improve on your interpersonal. Since you work in a clothing store, there should be a lot of customers you can meet and establish a relationship with. Don't let your personality trait be a hindrance. Whether you work in an office or not, u interpersonal skills will help u get the job done. So work on that. Lastly, prepare well for interview. I'm an introvert but u won't be able to guess that during an interview. All u need to do is b open, smile and prepare well. Google more interview tips. And have self confidence. U will b surprised at the positive result u will get Cheers |

babygirlfl: @ damiso, Generalising is almost not the best way to get points across.Much as it is not the best way to get a point across, it is not also best to use our family or people we know as a way to come to a conclusion. Just because something is not happening with people you know does not mean that it is not happening or that those it's happening to should not speak up. If something terrible is happening to some people, it is important that people that are not experiencing it shows some empathy and see how we can put a stop to it happening. We don't have to wait for most people to experience it before doing something about it. Babygirl, how do you put an end to stereotypes? By building stronger counter stereotypes? |

bellong: Damiso and Kimoni,
I think the ladies lamenting on that thread should have themselves to blame than calling Nigerian men sexist. Prior to marrying such men, they saw all the traits yet they went ahead to marry and are crying foul afterwards.
Their sense of judgement need more questioning than the pathetic rant. If all the males they ever met are sexists, it says more of themselves than the men. Like always begets like.
To pathetically crown the stupidity, two said their daughters will be raised far away from "Nigerian men", yet they are both married to Nigerian men. Is that not idiotic.
Rate at which some ladies bash Nigerian men at every opportunity will make you repent calling Satan the devil. It is as if sexism is the sole prerogative of Nigerian men and there are no sexists in the West.
They are actually the losers in this game. I thought it was never ever to marry nigerian men....that was just plain comedy to me anyways |

damiso: Its on the all Nigerian men are sexist thread.
My dad was my biggest cheerleader in Life so it kinda hurts( or maybe I should say its baffling) when I read ALL Nigerian men think their daughters are less than their sons. I just saw the thread. I feel you but I don't understand it also so I try to rationalize it. I had this big fight with my dad those days cuz he wanted me to be a structural engineer and I told him I preferred chemical engineering. I remember telling him it would be too physical for me and he asked me if he had raised me or sent me to schools that treated me differently from boys So I try to excuse these people and tell myself that maybe it's because of where I come from where women are not treated differently from men. I don't know all Nigerian cultures but maybe some cultures are not so previledged when it comes to this gender thing. That's about the only rational thing I can think of when i see all these posts. |

FexCathy: @ bossladyMo & doc tchiwinnie, we miss u mamas o! @ Kimoni, pls what and what do u start ur kids on after formula? I start with cow and gate/aptamil cereals for 6 months and above, millet and guinea corn pap, marshed potatoes, amala with ewedu plus mackerel/marshed beef, marshed bananas, marshed cooked vegetables. However, to make it easy for him, @ 5 months, I start to give him bits of whatever I am eating. This is not to feed him but to introduce his tongue to a variety of foods and not just milk. Then from 6 months, they are well prepared to eat different solids and give little or no stress then. |

proudmom38: Gud mrng sabi mamas. Pls o I need ur help asap...little Proudy's unblical cord fell 5days after birth n everything was fine, but yestrdy I noticed blood stain frm d navel n dis morning too. Pls wat's d cause n wat can I do? (2) Pls mamas dat has done plastibel 4 dia los,how long does it take 2 fall off? Little Proudy did he's 3days ago n his penis is a little bit swollen. Pls help a FTM...TIA Contine to clean the navel with regularly methylated spirit, it will soon dry off. When you wear his diapers, fold the front part inwards to stop it from constantly rubbing on the navel. The constant rubbing of the diapers on the navel could bring about some blood stains but nothing to worry about. Yes, the penis is going to be swollen for some days and may have some discharge for now. The plastic falls off anytime from 5 days. What I do is to take a breast pad, apply a lot of Vaseline on the pad or the penis and cover his penis with it. Again, this is to reduce the friction between the swollen penis and the diapers as well as shield the penis from contacting his poo and wee. |

hajarahbadmus: thanks ma'am. I just needed a reassurance tht I am not doing anything absurd cos someone told me I will regret allow him to suck his thumb. meanwhile I follow tht school of thought of allowing children explore whatever they have interest. in so far it poses no danger on them. I discovered my lo is interested in everything he sees me do. anything I put in my mouth must go into his mouth. cos b4 i feed him i put it in my mouth first so he understands d mechanism of eating. he is now a champion. I have to hide when I am eating anything I consider not safe for him yet if not he will scream d roof down or make sure he throws it away of he is on my laps. it must touch his mouth if I want peace. the only good thing is he does it to only me and not even his dad. buh he can salivate o! whenever he sees plate nd spoon. ha! stimulus response theory! salivation go start, excitement phase will set in! my sister..I can go on and on..im sure every mama has one or two interesting thing to say about their los. May God bless them for us.. Lol...I know right, we can write forever about our angels. God bless them. |

Some ijaw women have expertise in womb settingto promote fertility similar to ancient mayan massage practiced years ago in the americas. (Please google mayan massage for infertility). It is also gradually dying off with only a few experts remaining and many impostors claiming claiming to be experts. Hmnnnnn...Interesting stuff...I'll read it up. thanks |
