Even their penalty couldn't save them The funny thing is these same people will still be saying Mourinho is not good oo but since he left they haven’t won anything. Imagine he was the one in charge as the coach yesterday, person wey no use finals play. |

I keep on saying it, isn’t going to be in the benefits of the indigenes but their own personal agenda. |

wink2015: WHAT IS EDO STATE GENERATING AS A STATE?
They are clamouring for salaries where the source of money is unpredicatable.
Edo state is a poor state not like Delta state, Rivers, state, Akwa Ibom state.
Most of the Edo indigenes survives on wired money from their relations in EU countries like Italy, Germany and some that are based in Canada and America.
The few allocations that comes from the federal government is not enough to even tar road.
That was the money Oshiomole and his political thugs were fighting governor Obaseki for before the crisis went out of control and subsequently consumed Oshiomole. I wish not to quote your comment but hey you seems not be current as it were, Listen, Edo state is among Niger Delta states, that collect oil derivatives apart from federal government apart from the monthly FAAC. For your information this same Obaseki appropriate almost one billion naira as security votes every month apart from the huge among he used to sort PDP in the last election. So on and so forth. So please stop the narrative of no money bla bla bla. |

He said them in PDP especially as governors know what is happening in Nigeria.

Have said it over and over PMB might not be doing well generally but he has been doing the needful for these governors. Governor Umahi has always said this. Little did some Nigerians know that he borrowed money to share for these governors calling it BAIL OUT funds which is one of the problems his government is facing because most these governors aren’t doing anything meaningful in their respective states. Example is that GOVERNORS every month sign for themselves up to 2 billion naira as security votes with no security of lives and properties in those states. What is the benefits of security votes And that is why it’s time our governors need to be accountable for all monies either for LG or JUDICIARY given to them even after PMB has signed their autonomy. For GOV.AYADE what i can say is that may his joining APC be fruitful for CROSS RIVER people. |

Politics › Re: Jonathan's Tenure At A Glance by Kindledlight(m): 4:54pm On May 11, 2021 |
nagoma: Indeed, the ineffectual manner in which the government handled the Boko Haram challenge was attributed by many people to pervasive corruption in public life. After the Boko Haram war ends, corruption will quickly crawl back to the top place on the national agenda. Jonathan must find a way to place himself on the right side of this issue. Even without the heavy distraction occasioned by Boko Haram, Jonathan’s rule was off on a wrong footing due to the nebulousness of his cornerstone program, the Transformation Agenda. Prior to Jonathan’s advent, Nigerians complained that President Yar’adua’s Seven Point Agenda was nebulous. Hard as it is to believe, the transformation agenda is even more nebulous. It has no clear goals, direction, method or tactics. Instead, ministers and heads of government agencies try to help by attributing every small program or policy step to the Transformation Agenda, everything from digital broadcasting to fertiliser distribution. Lack of tangible progress in key sectors such as roads, bridges, power generation, health and education projects was such that when former Information Minister Labaran Maku embarked on his good governance tour, he hardly showcased Federal Government projects. Instead he shifted the spotlight to the work of state governments. Jonathan’s tenure has been marked by petty squabbles, such as wrecking of the Nigeria Governor’s Forum, the heated reply to Obasanjo’s sensational letter, accusing Kwankwaso of “not giving a kobo” to any convention delegate, and egging on Police Commissioner Joseph Mbu to scatter the Rivers State government. The First Lady’s overbearing encroachment into governance, allowing Bamanga Tukur a free reign to wreck the ruling party, refusing to call henchman Asari Dokubo to order for inflammatory remarks and allowing godfather Edwin Clark to go overboard with his public remarks were also defining issues. Others were closing airports to prevent opponents from landing; grounding of opponents’ planes; selectively opening airports for political allies, not to mention suspension of the CBN governor and encouraging the impeachment of recalcitrant state governors. You forgot to add the most painful thing he did, Giving the then minister of petroleum over bearing influence on our major revenue crude oil proceeds and nobody could question her, even National Assembly couldn’t invite her. Again i am always afraid when December is approaching because there won’t be fuel in the country. |
