Esseite: The moment the refinery kicks off, subsidy should be removed, although a more transparent subsidy system would be in place if still carried on. Dangote would sure race a lot of oil and gas companies out of business.
Good one Dangote, but if oil and gas coys are seeing the future and the steps dangote is taking, why are they not trying to give him competition on a refinery level? oil n gas coys as u call them , they can't play in the bigger league cos in in the bigger league heavy financial tool/investment is needed to make your vision come through, and by God's grace if he completes his refinery I am sure in many years to come there would be no competition, the best they could do is owning oil wells, having oil depot and filling station finish, when Dangote enters he would be the only bigger boy in the game for donkey years, along side share holders |

Opiletool: Op, as for your future questions, one step at a time is all I can tell you. Learn igbo first, since you say you often find yoruba speakers willing to teach you yoruba, you can also pick one or two words during a conversation. However, devote more time to learning Igbo. Who knows, your kids might even be more passionate than you in their time. And I believe the Igbo language is not gonna die. Stop worrying about future events, when you get to that bridge, you will cross it.
Another suggestion I would like to make is, listen to Igbo songs, then ask any igbo person around you for the meaning of some expressions. That will also help. I think u should learn Igbo first, join that organization suggested for Igbo's in the us, u could also get someone who could also find a teacher and take Igbo classes online besides Yoruba is easy to learn I don't know about Hausa but I think Hausa is easy too I have seen more ibos than Yoruba speaking hausa. You need not to worry about the future but you have to make sure you language which is Igbo is passed from you to other generation they would always find people around to speak the language to and that is certain, you must not let your children loose connection with the language and their people, come home often and bring your children often, I hope this would help By the way you won't believe if I tell you NEYO's the American hip hop artiste both parents are Nigerian but he has lost connection of his language and root while Jidenna's parent whose mother is white and father Nigerian could speak Igbo so fluently you would be amazed as a Yoruba boy bro I encourage you |

lacapine: she is oh! She is like a daughter to me. I have posted about her here too before here. Its the close marking I gave her that made her calm down small. The principal in her junior secondary school was a Darling. She helped a lot. Handed her over to a female teacher to mentor her and one Jehovah witness teacher in the school who always gave her magazine. They did this cos I reported. I have also chased boys in the past, spoken to their parents, warned. How long can I continue chasing them? I really like her and want the best for her even though I no be millionaire. But no be force. Maybe she wants better that I can't provide. I remember at age 15 to early 18 I almost made my mom walk through hell, I was a thorn in her skin but right now I wish I had never been heartless and I am thankful for that, though she is not ur child but u raised her as long as she has not for once looked you straight into the eye and tell you what you have done for her is nothing that means she is not an ingrate, she doesn't want anything better than the love u have showered on her, she is just being young and dumb don't give up on her yet one day she would look back and say how grateful she is for raising her as a daughter despite being a helper and wish she hasn't let you go through those stress of sharpening her path... just hold on |

that girl is going tru a stage, some people have failed to realize that one day their daughter would get to that stage (17,18 plus) when they would likely misbehave as well and I wonder if they would eventually disown their own child or just let her go ahead and get pregnant then send her to their grandmother in the village but I already knew the answer NO they won't. For the fact that that little girl your house help is less privileged doesn't mean you should make her life more miserable she is also human like you, do ur best. lacapine: okay. Been doing that. This evening hubby came back late and sent her and Hubby's nephew staying with us to buy something. She branched to her friend's place and when Hubby's nephew was telling her that they should hurry back, she was reluctant and he just came home my himself. The effrontery! since she no one wise, you have to caution her on your stand on it, let her know if she fails to listen and it gets out of hands you are so done helping her academically etc in fact she is on her own and she would have herself to blame not you, If her school authority is a woman report her to the woman, give her close marking at home and school as well you must know the time she closes and when she is expected to get back if she fails to get home at the proper time without genuine reason give her punishment (like ika obo, sitting on the wall, okada) etc don't beat her, though you can't curb it totally (she is a girl and exposed to it already) but you can discourage her with a lil bit of sex edu (tell her it would eventually lead to s3x and she could have unwanted pregnancy or worst HIV) the sex edu thing should be meant for her university when she is no more under your wing and when necessary, in fact what is stopping you from knowing those her friends at school and boyfriends as well, know them chase them off her back before they corrupt her totally threaten to arrest them and their parents like my pman would do. I can sense she is like a daughter to u sis don't send her back, if you do you are only helping her life to get worse, what if na ur pikin would u disown her? |

Health › Re: Akeredolu Commissions New Medical Equipment To Boost HealthCare In Ondo by King44(m): 7:29am On Mar 31, 2019 |
Sanromeo: LOL "Mimiko lost because he refused to oil the hands of some people" most hilarious thing I've ever heard about this matter. Mimiko lost because the eyes of the people became clear that all he did were aesthetic projects and nothing more. The people waited for him to come back so that they can teach him a lesson and they did. He was a colossal failure. Akeredolu was being sarcastic when he said Mimiko has done everything needed to be done. Not when he knows he's owing 7 months salaries and pension.
Most of the projects that were done under Mimiko were doled out for outrageous amount. Mimiko budgeted N13million for each bus stop you see in Akure. He mismanaged and squandered our allocation and had to borrow more. Incase you don't know, the allocation we're getting now is far less than what we were getting then but yet Akeredolu keep doing his best not to fail the people. Honestly he's trying. To me, offsetting the arrears is enough for me to continue supporting him. He removed hunger from the land. Under Mimiko, workers were reduced to nothing. That time, a worker was caught stealing plantain. Very sad.
Okay back to naming the industries that were initiated under Akeredolu's administration in Ondo State;
1. Ondo-Linyi Textile Mill 2. Cassava To Ethanol plant 3. Egg Powdered plant. 4. Rice Mills 5. Tucks and Tricycles Assemblage Plant 6. Paper Mill
These are few that i know of. Most of these companies are located at the Ondo State International Industrial Park, Ore in Odigbo LGA. Have you heard of it?
You want everything to be in Akure as if Akure is the only town in state.
This industrial park was flagged-off by Akeredolu-led govt and has so far been attracting investors into the state. While you're trying to confirm if this is true, you should start preparing your CV Because you're going to need it soon.
Incase you don't know, a flyover Bridge is currently under construction in the Southern part of the state. need what?? an employment from Akeredolu well u know people who need it definitely I don't belong to that group by God's grace, see don't deceive yourself, I don't know if you are catching out on this promo but deep deep down ur heart u know those projects are white elephant projects that won't be sustained beyond his tenure, that is if they exist at all na scam and u know, no b today we don dey see this kind thing I pitty the gullible who still follow Akeredolu unless u are cashing out on him then u have nothing to loose, if u know him you better tell him to put his rigging machinery in place before another governorship election (thank God that is the area of expertise of APC) cos if it would be a credible, free and fair Akeredolu is as good as a gunner |
Health › Re: Akeredolu Commissions New Medical Equipment To Boost HealthCare In Ondo by King44(m): 6:27pm On Mar 30, 2019 |
Sanromeo: First of all, Saying Akeredolu lacks vision is blasphemy. But i understand, since you're not a resident of Ondo State. Akeredolu is on the path of being the best Governor we've ever had in Ondo State. Unlike his predecessors, he has practically touched every sector in terms of development. Within two years of his administration, more than 10 industries have sprung up and are almost ready for operation. Within 2 years, Akeredolu has performed more than Mimiko in 8years. His industrial drive is yielding results. His midas touch has been felt in all sectors, especially in the aspect of roads construction. He's doing all these despite the paucity of funds in the state.
Secondly, If Mimiko had performed well during his 8years of thievery and scamming, he wouldn't have lost his Senatorial bid. He couldn't even make the second position, He Came far third. He was not only beaten, he was beaten blue and black. You could have believed that the Almighty Iroko would be thrashed like that. But that was you get when you're a failure.
You think Mimiko was better but he left the state with over N200billion debt and 7 months unpaid salaries. Akeredolu came in and has paid 6 months out of the 7 months arrears, with 1 month left. In the last 2 years, Akeredolu has not owed workers a dime since inception of his administration. He has been paying workers regularly and promptly despite the lack of funds.
As an administrator, Akeredolu is doing very well and better than his predecessors. If Akeredolu were to be a fan of grandstanding, the media would be awashed with his achievements in Ondo State.
Lastly, Stop jumping to conclusion on what you know nothing about. Ask and you shall be told. . point of correction I am an indigene and I live in one of the towns closed to Akure, kindly name the 8 industries and their location and if it does not spread all over the local government and akure a major benefactor just keep mute, if mimiko plundered the state in debt at least he has something tangible to show, and I can even mention as much as u want and names including locations if u want me to do that, I have not benefitted from his project except the road works but I have seen and k ow a lot who have benefitted so I know what I am saying, if mimiko lost his senatorial bid as u said its not because he did not performed well but because he failed to oil the hands of some people/people. Now talking about Akeredolu after he was elected what is said was and I quote "mimiko has already done what needs to be done" prove it wrong if he did not say so, people are complaining about this man for ur info, and the main reason why mimiko lost to APC is because he failed to pay civil servants that was his mistake but project wise u can't compare |
