You know, i attended an Agesmeis loan seminar in ogun state this January for government loan to SME/entrepreneur and i Observed one trait in we humans.

A reality check sets in.
Summary of my jargons -
I believe and support the notion of women contributing to the financial well-being of the family no matter what, even if it is 20%. It gives a reality check and cut their excesses.
Example - if you take your family (brothers, sisters and parents) to a mall and inform them to pick a phone of their chose, immediately all of them will go for what they have been fancying in their mind. They will go for want/luxury instead of need/reality. Most will point at expensive iPhone/Samsung.
When you now inform them they will have to add 20% money of the phone while you add 80%, reality check will set in. Most will back out while the others will quickly settle for something reasonable.
Same goes for house, land, school etc
Choosing a duplex when the family can only afford 3-bedroom flat.
The higher the stake they will have to put, the more reasonable their demands will be. From 20% to 50% or more, their demands will keep dropping because they know, they will have to be involved.
That is why you see people plan your wedding or burial for you rolling into millions, telling you it as to look super and talk of the town. Your parents planning on the best clothes, event center to use but when you tell these people to put down just 20% of the money they planned...... Voice mail
