mikeybrainy: For me I wouldn't try it, I can never marry someone like my mom. If I try that I would end up in an asylum.
She is a good mother, though not perfect (nobody is).
Some of my reasons are:
Nagging (like the neigbours can narrate everything happening in our house if asked to) Involving strangers in family issues (like she says everything)
She can't ever take the blame for anything (blames everyone for her woes, and she is never wrong)
She wants to collect back every single penny she spends in the house (which is impossible) Incites the children against their father (never realized this until I grew up and started thinking like a man, and honestly I'm sorry for all the ways I have acted to my dad, though my own is still fair, my siblings have complete disregard for their father)
Other things too that I can't mention here (makes me feel ashamed.
I realized all these when I started looking at everything from the lens of a struggling husband and father, and I'm still contemplating if marriage is worth it after all, I might as well stay single.... (I only date and break up with girls in my mind, Lol) cos I don't think its worth all the stress. Growing up in a broken, dysfunctional home is hard (sighs).
I wouldn't put all the blame on my Mom but I have resolved not to imbibe my dad's bad habits too (I can't even drink 1% alcohol not because I can't or it's bad, but I run away from it when I think of the things dad would have achieved, if he were not addicted to it)
Sorry for the long post.
Can you marry someone like your mom/dad?
Opinions
Yes I wished to marry someone like my mom but unfortunately my Wife is not as good as my mom.
Those type of women like our mothers are hard to find. It's almost impossible! Even the ones that look calm, few months after wedding they will stab you to death.
Tmb78: Are you okay at all? Who is betraying who here now? From what we are saying here now,it's Yoruba tribe that is your own headache. How are you even sure the other guy is Yoruba? Is his tribe written on his forehead? Everything is tribalism to you people You see, this is what we are talking about, some of you aren't different from the so called racists. Just that you are black inside out.Nonsense!
You are dead sick. You feel everyone is as dumb as you. Common will you smell away and go check out the guys page before you keep embarrassing your family and friends here.
NettyNelly: In life, you reap what you sow. Adesina has no reason to fear if he really performed excellently, cause clear conscience fears no allegations. Well it's a beautiful day, Do you need a well designed attractive Logo?, check my signature Have a great day ahead
Americans don't give a bleeping rat if you're decent or not. They paint you the color they want and make your government chase after you.
Americans don't give a flying phock about Africa as a whole and Africans.
Even if you performed excellently above their expectations. You will be in deep shiiiit if you don't dance to their tune.
Unfortunately, the leaders Of African nations are all twats. The only president that have stood his ground and defended Africans and Africa is Late Robbert Mugabe and you see how white leaders hate him and called him all sort of names.
Podakejol: No it’s igbo thing. Other tribes don’t run away from responsibilities like igbos do
The last time I checked.... No other tribe in Nigeria takes more responsibility like the igbos. From Nnewi to the Lagos. And when you talk about other tribes you mean like the Almajiri's IN the north and their unknown parents I guess
But how about those Almajiri flooding the streets?? Wouldn't it be a nice idea helping them out instead of this SM show-off
Not Hating tho....
I am igbo but I played the video 3 times.
Let's focus on the message the video preachs atlest for once and try not to deviate.
It's very beautiful to appreciate beautiful things.
I wish today's women (both Christians and Muslim's) will learn how to humble themselves and be a wife. Be very contented and comfortable in your position as the wife.
Made4naijalove: British Nigerian actor, john boyega is putting racists on blast in his latest tweets and Instagram Live and isn't going to apologize with it.
Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, has dismissed reports making the rounds on social media that schools nationwide will be reopened for academic activities on Monday, June 8.
Nwajiuba who spoke at the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 today May 27, said a statement that was alleged to have emanated from the task force directing the opening of schools, is not true.
He said the Federal government is being careful not to allow children return to schools and expose them to the virus. He added that the Ministry will follow the guidelines and advice from the Ministry of Health and the NCDC before schools can be reopened.
I am looking for who to attack on this thread as I have nothing to comment
obailala: What do you mean by "not at our expense"? Do you want the petrol bought from overseas to be given to you for free?
The pump price of petrol isn't only a factor of the cost of crude alone; there's also a cost for its refining, handling costs, and logistic costs for transporting it to Nigeria and to your filling stations.
Even if crude is $0 (which isnt even true), that doesnt necessarily mean petrol would be free. Like I said before, even at that N125 mark, it still is one of the cheapest in the world. And no, the govt isnt doing it for a profit at your expense, except of course you want it to be dispensed to you for free (or subsidised).
You are provoking me with this your stupid argument. What on earth do you mean with this statement. "Do you want the petrol bought from overseas to be given to you for free?
Which petrol is bought. It is only taken abroad to be refined and then they pay a certain percentage for that and its been shipped back here.
Donbabaj: I could be happy now but the next minute, she changes mood all of a sudden. We dated for over year after someone match make us but this mood swing things continued overtime so sometimes I get confused even as i really tried managing the pressure. She's a nice girl, takes good care of me, buys clothes, cooks, always wants me to look good but the problem is the rate which she switches mood easily.
Financially, we are both average earner but I think she earns better pay than me.
For instance, recently we got a new apartment - 2bedroom flat but whenever I say something she doesn't like or she doesn't want to hear, she just reacts like why would I say such a thing. All the while we were dating, we never stayed with each other as we stayed in our parents house. Fast forward* most times, as the man, after switching mood, I try to pacify her by petting and apologising but she doesn't just want to listen.
Just today, we were playing with each other on the bed, touching each other (not sensitive part) and she wanted me to kiss her. So I told her jokingly that "but you know this is not biblical" as an advocate of no sex until after marriage. I have never had sex with her either. The next thing she said, "why are you talking like this" she stood up, went straight to the sitting room and slept there. I went to meet her there to pacify her again but she wouldn't listen.
Please note that I have not and can never beat or abuse her cos I'm a Christian.
I'm just tired. She's really getting on my nerves. Our wedding is 3 weeks time but I dont just know what to do. People, friends and family are already aware of the impending marriage but I'm afraid that if a lady can switch mood like this, who knows what will happen tommorrow. I cant sleep in peace...
DebbieBianca: There’s joy in the camp of loyal fans and followers of Nigerian singer Davido as Hollywood star Dwayne John gives him a shout out.
Dwayne who is popularly known as The Rock took to his Instagram page to talk about a challenge he was nominated for. While speaking, he mentioned the name of the Blow My Mind crooner, alongside international musicians.
According to him, while he is doing the challenge he puts on the music of Davido and other artistes even as early as 2am in the morning. And as The Rock spoke, one could hear Davido’s music in the background.
obailala: Crude oil may have been worth $0, but not the refined products. It cost money to convert that crude in a refinery to useful refined products; it also cost money to ship that produce to Nigeria. At N125, Nigeria still has one of the cheapest petrol price globally.
What are you even talking a out. They are running a business!!!!! Just like every other person does. We exchange cash, naira for petrol at the rate which "THEY"gave to gave to us!!!
Ofcourse its going to cost money to get their raw products refined in other to meet the needs of the teaming customers.
Its their responsibilty to do that, thats what their market and product line requires. They do their calculations and figure out how to make profits at the end.
But not to our expense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
