Poor quality leather which begins to form bubbles and cracks and make the whole interior unsightly. As for the VTEC, Toyota's reply is VVT-i |

aAK1: you claim the cars are from Germany but i see Texas number on the red one Lemme show you visual differences between American and German specs. Although the Red car has AMG sports skirts, and the Silver has none, that doesn't qualify for any Continent classification. If you look at the rear number plate recess in the red car, it fits for Short Nigerian/American style number plates, while the silver type fits for slender longer European styled number plates, the Brown Mercedes OP advertised is a European Specs. The second car she advertised doesn't have any Amber coloured side marker lamp, the American specs cars always have amber coloured side markers. The cars she posted are European specs

Alhajipablo: Sir. I do not believe in ghosts, because when you are dead you are dead but I believe there are evil spirits with the ability to take on any forms they wish;hence we see them taking the forms of d supposed dead peeps. Two quick questions, can you provide a verse in d bible that describes this phenomenon of a man dying and coming back as a ghost? Do you think you can appear as a ghost after you've grown old and died? 1Samuel 28:7-19 . Saul and the Medium of Endor7Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor. 8And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee. 9And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die? 10And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, As the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing. 11Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel. 12And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul. 13And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. 14And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.
15And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do. 16Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy? 17And the LORD hath done to him, as he spake by me: for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even to David: 18Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this day. 19Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and to morrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines. |

seyiojomu: Bros, u are just matching P for nothing. Am not teaching u your job and u re not the only technician here. U dont even know if am one. Its a forum, I gave my opinions and u av even reiterated and supported my claim on why auto workshops are best, afterall u said u educate your clients too.
yes, dat a client has read one blah blah online is no big deal and he thinks he shld let u know wen fixing is car. The onus is on u to let him know what is right nd effects of woteva by reasonably playing it out for him or her to see, rather dan feeling pompous dat someone cant teach u ur job. There is a reason why surgeons are initially trained as 'housemanship' doctors before dey start operating alone. One of those reasons is to culture them to listen to dier theatre room support staffs and client, which I presume u lack.
All d same, all d best in your endeavors. Now, this is a blow below the belt, why taking my speech personal? You've not met me, you've not gone thru my online profile, yet you erroneously presume about me in a negative manner. Go check more about my works in my profile, check more about me on by searching lomomike, then you can come rant. Good day! |
Car Talk › Re: Road Side Mechanic Vs Auto Workshop Vs Dealership by kingreign(m): 11:00am On Oct 17, 2016 |
seyiojomu: if you totally know what you are doing, you will never have a problem when someone is watching you do it. infact, you will be interested in teaching them when they seem to show interest. by watching someone work on your car while you watch alone, you can tell if the person is someone you would probably do business with again.
dont forget also that when you leave them to do what they like, they may carelessly damage other tins while trying to fix a particular problem, which is very common with the roadside guys. ordinary retainer pins, roadside will never bring it out properly, they will yank them out and break them, den they will start using screws, nuts and washer to hold it in place or even use copper wires when they know you wont even go there to check, then over time your car starts creaking with noises and you will never be able to tell where its coming from. dont forget that when mistakes are made by them and you are not aware, you will still be the one to bear the cost and loss.
i have watched my auto workshop guy work on my car several times, told him how i like my stuffs done and elaborated on the level of ethics and competence expected to the extent that i don't need to be with him anymore when he is working on my car. he even already knows that when there is a damage to the car due to bad workshop practice, i can tell and off course they would be liable for that.
Simply put, there is nothing wrong in passing your instructions, watching the procedures etc before entrusting them to use their own discretion afterwards how exactly you would have handled your car if it were you personally.
when you can do ITK to avoid extra costs, do it cos if you don't, you will come back to do baba olowo maga. Well, you know who you take your cars to, if He's careless, blame him and do not bring it to the general roadside mechanic. I am a technician, I am not one careless one, infact, I teach my clients, even call them give them tips, whenever they're present, I gladly help them fix some anomalies in their cars sometimes free of charge. I learn from them too, i take corrections from them. But when one starts telling me what to do on my job and try forming ITK, na there Palava for start. I recall a client who was trying to form ITK cos he has 4 big jeeps and a pathfinder V8, a friend and customer of mine, have met him at another time and gave him a similar advice on what to to to make his car better, yet, he formed ITK arrogance, I know how He's now suffering at another mechanic's hands. Its just like you're telling a trained surgeon how to perform a procedure just because you read a little stuff about it from a book. May I remind you I know about 4 technicians who work with Coscharis and CFAO in Abuja, when they talk about the background things they do in the name of repairs despite the huge bills customers pay, I wonder, I have been opportune to sit side by side with Dana motor engineers and do you know they bill you 320k to change EPS in Hyundai Elantra when it makes a clunky sound (a common fault in Hyundai elantra EPS), yet, they take these EPS to a road side techie in Abuja and pay him 55k? I still repeat, if you want me to teach you basics, intermediate and advanced auto care and repairs, that one is seperate, but to preside and oversee and supervise and close mark me when I'm on my job, I don't always welcome it, the only time I gladly welcome such is when I'm in the mood for that. |

Car Talk › Re: Road Side Mechanic Vs Auto Workshop Vs Dealership by kingreign(m): 8:37am On Oct 17, 2016 |
seyiojomu: the truth is, as a driver or car owner, you need to know a lot yourself about the possible technical problems, learn unusual sounds, etc
when you know your car very well, you will be able to diagnose to some extent damages. this will help you when you are relating with your roadside, auto workshop or dealership, rather than relying on their own judgement every time.
I personally will always patronize auto workshops instead of visiting the dealership or roadside, Roadside mechanics don't feel comfortable with you when you act like you know and will reluctantly prefer to fix while you are watching. dealerships on the other hand will over charge you, probably refine some few roadside mechanics to work on your car, they also will not give you the opportunity to watch your car while it is being repaired in most circumstances. Auto workshops will listen to your complaints, will troubleshoot with you, will advise you on parts, will allow you watch the repair as its been carried out, will not mind if you bring your own parts to be used, most of all, they will always take responsibility if you return the job if problem persists, they are not necessarily cheap but usually negotiable on labor. They will even many times return the bad parts for you to see if you are in doubts.
what is most important anyway is that you should always have a clue on what is wrong with your car and the internet will always come in handy with a lot of forums this days on various models of cars. Do you go to auto workshops/dealerships and supervise/watch the technician fix your car and also start forming ITK? If No, why would you try it with roadside mechanics? If yes, Na your type dey always enter problem when you try it with auto technicians and they'll do damages. Pls, tell them what to do, give them room to do their works, then you can inspect the competence of the work done after your car has been operated upon. You won't like it when a client starts supervising and directing you in your own professional job, so don't do it to others. |
