At least three persons have been left seriously wounded after being attacked by suspected sea pirates in Bayelsa state. It was gathered that gunmen attacked a market boat at the Igbematoru-Koluama creek, yesterday night, and opened fire on the villagers in the course of the attack, leaving three critically injured with gunshots and others also receiving treatment.

The victims (to females and the boat driver) were rushed to the Koluama 2 health centre in Bayelsa and are said to be responding to treatment.

Meanwhile, a former militant leader in Koluama clan, Gen. Agbalakoko (Detagnant Inatimi Ileberi) alias ‘King of Koluama River’, has described the attack as unfortunate.

He sympathised with the victims, and expressed shock at the increasing rate of sea-piracy and militancy in Koluama clan, noting that “despite millions from oil companies being paid as security fee to certain individuals of the community, to protect lives and properties, the old and young are still suffering from such unwarranted attacks”.

He also blamed the Oil companies, for not ensuring adequate security of the people by engaging the right persons, adding that their presence presents danger for the people, and there was need to urgently beef up security both on the waterways and interlands.

Agbalakoko further called on the Bayelsa state Police command to begin preliminary investigations into the incident, and ensure the culprits are apprehended, tried and jailed, to serve as detterent to others.

A friend of mine paid me a visit yesterday and after watching the arsenal match with him we were very famish and we went to one of the eatery, lo and behold he saw his babe with another guy eating and gisting,my guy was devastated and, we both manage to order our food, we eat quietly and left, as we were going the girl rushed out and was calling my guy, the most annoying thing is that the guy that she came with was holding her back, so my guy went to his house and saw the girl inside his room cus he gave the girl one of his key, the girl was crying and begging telling my guy that the guy was only asking her out and that the guy was disturbing her, that she want to hear what the guy want to say thats why she was with him, the funny part of it is that she told my guy that he dont luv her, that if that he luvs her, he could have drag her away frm the guy when he saw her ..my guy is asking on what to do but i dont knw what to tell him, pls my people what action should he take,, note my guy and the babe stay in the same place, frm where we saw the girl and the guy is very far, from where they are staying

My concern is that we are very few in number; who neither supported Jonathan nor Buhari. The options before us then were many but the elites controlled the Masses and polarised the election between Jonathan and Buhari. They were two bad options. I was seriously lamenting over this issue then, Soyinka too wrote so much articles pointing on two bad options before us, they termed him "confused man". Today those who voted for heartless and merciless Buhari are complaining while those who didn't vote for clueless and carefree Jonathan are regretting. May we not be in such a terrible dilemma again!
