You would think that something like this could hardly happen in a world class, top rated media house as the BBC. One can only imagine how "dirty and infested" the studio is, i mean the behind-the-Lens areas. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/webcast--spider-photobombs-tv-news-program-152541515.html |
Well, all of unai just dey yawn but before I comment again let me first thank Baba God, oga Seun and the entire Nairaland family for putting me on the Frontpage, as in, like seriously making FP for the first time since 2006. MTN, the JSE-listed mobile phone operator, posted results it described as “solid” operational performance in the six months to June this year with growth realised in data and mobile money. The firm, which connects more than 215 million people in 22 countries in Africa and the Middles East, said during the period under review subscriber numbers increased 3.5 percent to 215 million with revenues surging 11 percent to R72.7 billion ($6.7 billion). MTN Nigeria revenue soared 21.5 percent to R27 billion ($2.5 billion) while MTN South Africa revenue were 7 percent lower at R19.1 billion ($1.7 billion). Data revenue surged 38.9 percent to R12.7 billion ($1.1 billion) while data users were 7.3 percent higher at 88.5 million. However, voice revenue continued to be negatively impacted by forceful competition, regulatory pressures and a weakening economic environment in key markets. MTN Nigeria posted a healthy performance in keeping with market prospects but the South African operation remained under pressure and steps were taken to improve its performance, MTN said. “We continue to explore opportunities to expand our product offering outside of traditional voice and expect to increase our presence in the digital space by leveraging technology and maximising the opportunity of low internet penetration in many of our markets,” MTN said. http://www.ventures-africa.com/2014/08/mtn-sees-3-5-rise-in-subscriber-base-revenue-hits-6-7bn/ Yet... dont ask me what |

huptin: Am not a fan of Buhari, not because of all these conspiracy theories flying around to discredit the general, I just feel the world has advanced beyond his likes. But Ati ku? Biko that's a no no, he won't even win his local government.EXACT TRUTH APC can't win Presidential elections, let them work on winning more states via gubernatorial elections, they will surely gel in 2019.This is actually their best option and strategy, but ACN merging to form APC has greatly limited their chances. Tinubu would have been better off with ACN. Ngige's loss is an example. ACN was making serious impact in the East and SS especially but APC came to give it a very ugly name. |
Please, who really understands who Tunde Bakare is... |
theplanmaker: why do we have to tolerate this people? Arewa youths have indicated interest to divide, the east has been ready since the civil war, the south and west won't mind, and people are dying. so the question is why haven't we separated? One question I have always asked. Who then is afraid of the separation |
the union advised the Federal Government to “stop all government employed doctors from establishing private clinics while still in government employment, for the benefit of the citizens of this nation.”This is one part of the all story worth considering seriously. |
But what if the Panel decides that the Gov is not quity |
Please, let me ask sincerely ooo. WHAT IF WE SIT DOWN AND DE-AMALGAMATE THIS COUNTRY PEACEFULLY, what is the worst thing that will happen. Will it be worst than Boko bombing. If true and complete federalism is not possible, I believe this is the best option. One day, I will form a political party and one of our major manifesto will be to disintegrate Nigeria of establish TRUE and Genuine Federalism. |
Mogidi: Many people now see the opposition as lacking rational arguments and with the way events are unfolding, GEJ is likely to return unopposed in 2015.I pray somebody whispers this into the ears of Liar Mohammed. |
Fomaxcool: We are brothers & sisters, I still believe that Nigeria can still work out if our leaders are visionary irrespective where you are coming from. This assumption that we are "brothers and sisters" is the greatest problem of Nigeria from day one till now. Nigerians are not brothers or sisters. Nigeria is NOT a nation. It is a geographical entity (country) with so many different Nations that was created by the British, for the British. There is no way you can tell or explain to an Efik man that he is a brother to a man from Sokoto state, an Urhobo man cannot understand how he is related (as a brother) to a man from Kano state etc. If we say we are one nation or people; it is either we are deceiving ourselves or we are lying to ourselves and our children. It is only True Federalism that can rescue us if we must remain as one country. |
However, you can have the site translated from chinese to english by using google chrome browser.I use google chrome too but it ddnt translate. Let me see if i can get to the page as u said (that will be tedious). |

Thespecialone: kindly send us a mail sir. Nisiborps @ gmail dot comThanks I will get that done shortly. BTW why is 1688.com completely in Chinese, how do I access the English version or translation. |
I am just about entering this import biz again after i bought a few things from Alibaba some year ago. (Most of my experience then is not worth remembering). Now that we have buying and Payment (Procurement) Agents, I still dont know exactly which to use. I know much is being said here about NPS but what other agents can be recommended. BTW I have not seen any contact of NPS here on this thread. I want to bring in tablets, Smart phones, Laptops and other such gadgets. |
CharlesPhc: So it took 8 long years for a judgment as simple and straight forward as this to be delivered by the Supreme Court abi?Like seriously, I dont understand this Judiciary as the third arm of Government. Why must they always seat back and watch while illegality and unconstitutionally is going on. Must they wait for someone to cry to them first. Even when someone does, it takes ages for them to get things done right. Some ex-Governor's of 1999-2003 Era cases are still not being fully heard in court, from one injunction to another. |
davno: Uninvited, yet she went to sit on d best available seat. Mad woman!!! On arrival, I saw two vacant seats besides the former deputy governor, Chief Benjamin Elue, and the speaker, Mr. Peter Onwusanya. I quietly seated [myself] and immediately, to my surprise, the MC of the ceremony publicly announced that where I was seated was not meant for me,” she said.Common sense and courtesy should have made her know that in a high powered occasion like this especially one that you were not invited to; you dont just go and sit on any seat just cos it is vacant not particularly a seat at the "High Table" Even our Lord Jesus said something about that in the Big Book (Luke 14:8-11) "When you are invited by anyone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in the best place, lest one more honorable than you be invited by him; "and he who invited you and him come and say to you, 'Give place to this man,' and then you begin with shame to take the lowest place. "But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say to you, 'Friend, go up higher.' Then you will have glory in the presence of those who sit at the table with you. "For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. She went and sat on the chair reserved for the state deputy governor, and the security agents approached her to look for somewhere else to sit, and she ‘flared up,’ saying she is a member of Board, and who is the deputy governor. All efforts to pacify her failed, and she walked up to me and asked me if I knew she is a member of Board.Madam should learn to give honour to whom honour is due. BTW, why is it that it is every four years during election that she remembers that she is from Delta state. |
Tonjeola1: do u ve personal system? Thanks a lot for the offer. I am always online and I just registered with ChirsVicMall after finding knowing about them here on Nairaland. |
Hello, hope I didnt come too late to the Party. I have just about 200k that I wish to start with in this importation business. I know well about most China importation/suppliers sites such as Aliexpress, Madeinchina etc. As an IT Technician, I plan to bring in majorly Laptops and its accessories, Ipads, Smartphone etc. But i am still skeptical about the payment aspect and quality guarantee ie getting exactly what you ordered. please, I need contacts for practical assistance in this regard. Thank you. |
gboss4sure: If APC thinks that their support for insecurity will make GEJ not to contest 2015 elections then they are just wasting their time. Ok let's put it this way, it will be very bad for any type of election to hold in this worsening security situation, let's postpone all elections till further notice till when the security situation gets better. Apc supporters una gree? The truth is APC knew they are never going to beat GEJ that's why they are scared of him contesting for a second term unfortunately they have exhausted nearly all their games and the remaining few will consume them.By now APC strategists should have realized that this attack and condemnation tactics on GEJ is not working and it's backfiring on them. If they dont realise and adjust quickly it will soon be caught in their own words and recommendations. |
Hi guys, we got to party; it's my birthday. |
Sunny_bobo: The handwriting is as clear as MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.But who will interpret it to them. Definitely not their consultants, Special Advisers , Senior Special Advisers, commissioners or e-warriors especially here on Nairaland. They sure need a Daniel. |
We all know the story as told in the great book, about a strange handwriting that appeared on the wall of a government house some years ago. The Governor could not read or understand the writing himself, so he sent for all his consultants, his Special Advisers , Senior Special Advisers, his commissioners including his e-warriors on social media but it was only Daniel that could read and interpret the handwriting on the wall. Unfortunately it turned out that the meaning was not good news for the Governor but, you know, like they say; what is written is written. With the disappointing performance and defeat of APC in Anambra and Ekiti states; an unexpected handwriting is obviously on the wall. And my worry is whether Amaechi and Rochas can find a Daniel. |
If Amaechi is sure of this, why dont he conduct Local Government Elections like Delta State is doing. Sometimes, dreams appear so real that it affects the mindset and actions of the dreamer. |
Like seriously, I don't understand these Judiciary guys. the way they are used and tossed about by just anybody base on interest. Is the Judiciary not supposed to be an independent third arm of the Government. Anybody runs to the court to get one injunction or the other based on their interest. |
If the TWO options APC has as Presidential candidates are PDP products (We all know that Buhari is not an option) who then are the progressives, what does APC stand for and what are they opposing. After-all, the profile they are considering in picking the two of them were built in PDP. Even Tambuwal is still a PDP member and OBJ is APC Navigator AS FAR AS WE ARE CONCERNED; APC JUST WANTS TO OCCUPY ASO ROCK AND CONTINUE FROM WHERE PDP STOPS. TALK ABOUT PROGRESSIVES OR CHANGE IS JUST IN THE MEDIA. |
