We dont need a christian or a musilim we dont need ijaw or youruba or housa or kanuri or ibibio we need a GOOD COMPETENT RELLAIBLE LEADER and nothing more! someone that would have the balls to tackle corruption someone that would make us get things rightMy dear what you said is how things are supposed to be, but unfortunately, Nigeria is so grossly complicated that you CAN NEVER remove these factors from it's politics and leadership. May God help us. |
Am already working on a new and different name/concept for the show. Thanks for ur tip, I dont want anyone to compare me with their own standard. It will be my first and am ready to do it to the best quality, no matter how small. The more we do it, the better it will become year after year. |
Instead of all this faffing about, why not approve a decent oil derivation % for oil producing states (say like 50%), and empower NDDC better to concentrate on world-class projects that benefit the entire region, rather than the present situation where they get involved in local gov't level projects like clinics, boreholes, classroom blocks, hostels, etc;My dear, I dont know if live anywhere in the Niger Delta. This is exactly what we see here everywhere. Almighty NDDC and co engaging in construction of convent, drainage for lanes borehole etc instead of capital intensive projects that can befit the region in the long run. |
May God give us and understanding heart, that we may be able to know what is spiritual and what is cultural so we dont keep deceiving ourselves. |
I have always wantd to do traditional marriage fully and then marriage blessing. But i dd white/church wedding cos of my lady. You know, ladies are just crazy about wearing gown and ring and the whole wedding thing. |
I am a minister in my church though not a pastor per se. I got married about two weeks ago (Did Traditional then church wedding). I have been considering: the way we organise church/white wedding and the activities therein eg the rings, white gown, groomsmen, bridal train and all what the ministers does in the process of the wedding. Are they actually christian doctrines/injuctions or are we just promoting whiteman's culture through christianity. (based on my level of knowledge of the Bible) Jesus recognised marriages but He ddnt conduct one and He ddnt prescribe how it should be conducted. Jesus went to a traditional marriage in cana (John 2:1)which was conducted according to the custom of the Jews (v.6). He "adjusted" so many laws of the jews but ddnt alter that of marriage. The Apostles recognised marriages but there was no record of any of them conducting a marriage neither did they write anything about how christians should conduct marriage. I cant find any biblical basis for how we conduct weddings in church today and I think that what we should be doing in our churches is marriage blessing. The intending couple should go thru the church couselling programme and if everthing is ok, the intending couple will go for the (traditional) marriage at the ladies family house, thereafter, they come for marriage blessing in the church, which gives then both church recognition and spiritual coverage. What is your thought please. |
Thanks, Guy. It then means that the organisers of West African Idol, Nigerian Idol, Nigeria's Got talent etc all took permission and paid royalty to their foreign counterparts. In that vain, what is the difference btw Nigeria's Got Talent and Peak Talent Hunt, maybe change of name. |
Thanks for the response on phone. please, more will be appreciated. |
We are working on organising a Talent TV Reality Show, something in the likes of Project Fame, West African idol, Nigerian Idol, star quest, Nigeria’s Got Talent etc, which are very successful reality show concepts. We need a good logistics framework which will address issues like; venue management, auditioning, publicity, marketing (for sponsors) etc. In the main time, please, I urgently need advice/info on the following: *When is the best time of the year to organise such reality show. *What form of authorisations is necessary? * Does the organisers of West African Idol, Nigerian Idol, Nigeria’s Got Talent etc had to get any authorisation from their American counterparts, that are the initiators of such concepts. (Like I said the concept of the reality show is adapted from the above already existing and very successful reality shows but with a niche) For partnership, advice and general enquiries you can post here of email: kinharold2@yahoo.com 07034268732. |

DANGER LETS STOP HIDING OURSELF, LET EVERYBODY,STATE AND TRIBE SAY THEY MINDI would hav supported this BOKO stuff if they were fighting for succession of the (Core) North, like Massob in SE. The Truth is that REAL security and peace CANNOT be possible in Nigeria with our current configuration. The (core) north and the South ar both facing different directions and thinking they ar working together. They ar a completely different pple. The North facing east with eastern education, civilization, religion etc. The south facing west with western education, religion, civilization and culture. This setting can never bring about real peace, security and self expression especially in creative ingenuity for general development. The problem is the mainstream leaders ar just afraid to be seen as "agents of disunity", so they enslave and endanger us all with a "false unity" A lesser alternative is to hav a true federalism. U can SHARIA in ur own state as u like. You work, you create and you eat. |

A very dedicated member of our chch just died, over the night. wasnt sick before. Only complained of stomach ache last evening. left 2 great kids. God rest his soul |
Neva you invest in business you do not know aboutseveral suggestions has been made. My word of advice is the above. From real estate to transport, telecom to importation, from gems to gold; pls make out time and effort to learn at least the basic rudiments of the biz u chose to go into. Be ready to get personally involved unless you are looking for a second income stream (residual income) U may not know everything about something but know something about everything. Transport (Haulage) is great and fast in returns, drivers are the devils. |
In 1985,IBB was the president of Nigeria and our Teacher told us about Buhari the former President. he is so desperate because he wants to steal more money from we nigeriansIS IT NOT THIS SAME BUHARI THAT ABORTED OUR EARLIER ATTEMPT AT DEMOCRACY?. Our democracy by now should have been one of the best in the world. He set us backward for more than sixteen years. The worst democracy is better than the best military rule. (Military rule is not a form of government but a form of anarchy). It is 2day we are still resolving issues like when the tenure of a governor will end when there is a break in the four term, things we would have resolved longtime. It is time for old layers like him to go and rest |
Don't mind the haters here, we love them. They are sometimes criticized to make them sit upWell said: Nigerian Actors and Actresses represent not just Nigeria but the whole of Africa. WE ARE ALL VERY PROUD of them. Most negative comments are to make them sit up and be more creative. And it is working. |
Its a silly article from a mind that doesn't have any logical grasp.I don't seem to understand this 123 or abc people. Are there actually reporters or politicians. Whether for good or for bad, is GEJ the only prominent name missing in the article. Why would a "reporting" newspaper be the one to raise the alarm about it. They should just report and let Nigerians say "look, this or that name was not included". GEJ is not the best Nigeria can offer but he is the best option we have for now. Let's all pray for a better option come 2015. by then old cargoes like BB and TB would have been cleared out of the store room. |
, destroying infrastructure in your own heartland. My dear, it is obvious that this is ALL politics. Lets, look at it. The Niger Delta have not been opportune to be at the helm of power at the national level. This is seen as the reason for the continuous exploitation and neglect of the region, which is what they claim to be fighting. Now, their own man and son is there and has the best opportunity of continuing for some more years. GEJ may not be the best man from that region but for NOW he is the best opportunity EVERYONE & ANYONE from that region has. You may be quarreling with someone in your hometown but when you meet the same person in a foreign land you become friends. As it is now, If not GEJ, who is the best choice for the people of Niger Delta like myself. MEND's current threats are political. |
