Family › Re: At 23 Years Old, I Have No Idea What I Am Doing With My Life by KLand(m): 6:30pm On Aug 06, 2020 |
When there is life there is hope. Don't give up on your life because life has not given up on you.
At 23, you are very young. A bright future awaits. No need to despair over the errors of the past. It's time to move on.
Kudos to your parents that forgave you. You disappointed them the first time by dropping out of school, but don't disappoint them a second time by doing something nasty in the situation you have found yourself.
It is good that you went back school, now in 200L. That alone is progress. I will beg you to follow through till you graduate and make your parents proud again.
Despite all you have said about God, He remains the only One that can transform your life. Believe it or not, He still loves you. And wants to help if you ask Him to.
God's love is available for you to take if you put your faith in Jesus Christ. Just ask Jesus in to your heart, ask Him to help you, because you can't help yourself.
There is a reason you are alive. There is a reason God brought you to earth. You can't find that reason outside of God.
Since school is not open yet, find something useful to do with your time. Help your parents. Talk with your siblings. Away with suicide thoughts.
Find a job around your house to bridge the gap. Volunteer if you have to...being idle contributes to personal misery.
Don't be ashamed before your old classmates who have moved higher than you. It's a matter of time you will level up too and even surpass their achievements in life. (Hiding from them makes the matter worse. And you can't even hide forever).
Lastly, forgive your self of the past mistakes and look ahead to a better future. Accepting the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ into your life will make it easier to do so.
God loves you and He still has a plan for you. Embrace it. |

kingxsamz: Pay what price? Your god created Lucifer who became Satan. Punished Adam and Eve for eating an apple, even though he's omniscient and knew they'd do it. When sin became too much, even though he foresaw it, he decided to kill all humans, even though he knew they wouldn't listen to Noah. After destroying humans, he didn't even think for a second to destroy Satan (the root of the problem) once and for all. Yet he allowed Satan live and thrive. Many years later, sin had been restored and the earth was as sinful as it was before he destroyed the earth with flood. He now sends his son to die for the sins of people. To pay the debt that who the fvck is owing? To save people from the same hell that God himself created. Do you people use your brains at all? If only you knew new better, you would not be talking like this, criticising what you don't understand: Let me make a few points though, with the hope that you will get it better: Man sinned of their own freewill. Don't blame it on God. God created Lucifer not satan. Satan is a spirit, it doesn't die. God created hell for satan to punish him for his rebellion. Any man that goes to hell go there because they followed satan - by rejecting Jesus. These are spiritual matters. As good as your brain is, it can't understand this without the help of the Holy Spirit. Just give your life to Jesus, the picture will definitely become clearer to you. |

She is a rare kind of girl. All the stories I hear are about ladies asking for more money for wedding, here you are with a girl that wants less.
Please don't annoy her by insisting on your N1m wedding. She told you what she wants - half of what you budgected. Thant souds good; please work with the medium budget.
The money you spending for a wedding is to impress other people. If your madam, doesn't want you spending plenty money like that, please follow her advise. From the story she told, she had never given you bad advise before. So why are you doubting this one?
If you really want to impress her because she deserves it , just save the extra 500k and give it to her after the wedding, or better still add money to it and buy her car as gift. After all, you said she accepts gifts but doesn't accept cash. Thank your God you have a fine girl like that. |

As much as people want to deny that it exists, hell remains real for satan and his followers.
The good news is that Jesus has paid the price so that people don't go to hell. So the people that will go to hell will go there because they refuse to accept that Jesus paid for their sins.
Simply put, hell remains a beckoning reality for any one who rejects the saving grace that only Jesus offers. |

Amujale: Perhaps you didnt get the main point.
Jesus is a fictitious character.
Furthermore, should anyone adopt a God who is not in the person's own image; once a person embraces doctrine that doesnt teach that person to love that person's own kind above any other people, when one's oppressor and saviour; one's God and enslaver are one and the same, such a person becomes the principal agent in the person's own destruction. Jesus is not a fictional character. Both historical and Biblical records prove this. Oh by the way, I know too He is real because through faith in Him, my sins are forgiven. |

Graduates are no more getting jobs like before when university was university, after spending so much time, spending money just to learn, you later come back to square one in becoming a business owner. #FACT
Most people are getting jobs on what they didn't even read in school just to earn a living.

Christianity Etc › Re: 6 Useful Tips For Raising Godly And Confident Children by KLand(m): 10:07pm On May 31, 2020 |
JourneytoEL: Do you know why many adults today are suffering from low esteem? It is because of their upbringing. This has affected their life choices in careers, marriage and even their faith, as they can be easily swayed away from the Godly life they were raised with to living a sinful life. Read on to learn helpful tips you can use to raise your little ones to be a Godly and confident individual.
1 Do not body-shame or insult your kids. Don't call your kids "dudu", "blacky" ,"hummer head" ,"wowo","blockhead" ,"big-mouth" ,"lekpa", "orobo-kiti", "ugly child", "Anya 4:30", "hammer head of horror" "idiot" "fool" "goat" "slowpoke"etc. If you are doing these already please stop it ASAP. Ha! Many ladies who are bleaching today are doing so because their parents used to mockingly call them blacky. Were you the one that created your child?, did she create herself? so why are you insulting her. These types of insults will remain in the minds of your kids all through their lives. That your daughter that you constantly call wowo will at the age of 14 have a toaster that will call her beautiful. Do you know what she will do? she will leave your advice and run into his hands just because no one calls her beautiful at home. Even as a joke, never ridicle your kids and caution whoever tries to do that.
2. Always call them by sweet names Always call your kids beautiful, miss world, mr handsome etc. Proclaim God's blessings on them by calling them child of favour, child of grace, blessed child, prosperity is your name, love, apple of God's eyes, 'uwa-oma', peaceful child, my joy, my firstfruit, future president get my phone from the room etc. You can even customize these names in your local dialect for your kids. Personally, i don't call my kids endurance, perseverance and patience, biko don't ask me why
3. Give them positive proclaimations to say daily. Say these statements with your kids daily at the end of their morning prayers. You can spice it up by jumping, hitting your chests, or shouting hurray to make them gingered. I am beautifully and wonderfully made (x3) I can do all things through Christ that strenghtens me (x3) I am blessed, I am favoured and I am a child of grace (x3) I am strong, i am beautiful, I am great, I can do anything (x3) My protector is awake. The protector of (INSERT NAME e.g ugo) never doses or sleep (x3)
4. Don't flog or scold your kids excessively Yes, the bible says spare the rod and spoil your child, but just as with all things, flogging or scolding your child excessively is very detrimental to their esteem. It leads to two things, either the child stops getting scared of been flogged or scolded or the child's spirit gets broken. He becomes a dummy, has no say of his own. He won't be able to speak out for his rights when been maltreated as an adult. On the either end, they can become narcisstic, beating up their spouses because they believe that is the only way to correct someone. Your kids are individuals with their own minds just like you. Learn to take them by your side and ask why they acted in a bad manner. Listen to their opinion and their point of view and correct accordingly. If you must spank use a cane and beat on their palms or buttocks. Please don't use your hands, belt, pepper, iron to slap or inflict bodily marks on them.
5. Treat your kids equally Always show your kids that you love them equally whether or not it is true. Not doing so can make them grow up feeling like they are not good enough. Don't show one kid more love or buy better gifts than the rest. This act can breed sibling rivalry that will last even after you are gone.
6. Preach and practice Godly values with them Teach your kids Godly values like love, peace, humility, forgiveness and how God hates envy, jealousy, lies etc. You can tell the first to forfeit his meat for the last, if he does without hesitation reward him with two meats. Tell the last to hug and forgive the elder sibling who spanked her. These values last for a lifetime. Remember to practice what you preach. You can't be beating your wife and be teaching your kids about love.
Lastly, endeavor to pray for them always. It is only God that can perfect our efforts. Please post some cute names and useful tips others can learn from in this thread. Thanks for sharing. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Please, No Sex Before Marriage Is NEVER A Scam by KLand(m): 8:48pm On May 31, 2020 |
Interesting15: So a guy here recently published a piece claiming no sex before marriage is a scam..
At first, I was thinking he's just one of those loose guys who only justify sexual immorality because they can't be human enough to gain mastery over their bodies, and who can't control themselves and are slaves to their urges.. But I was shocked that this guy was attempting to justify an unholy act like premarital sex, with the Holy Scriptures..
I was like, JESUS, this guy must be stopped!
First of all, if you check the guy's profile, you will discover he is selling sex tools and products. Therefore, he is only trying to pervert people's mind so they could comfortably patronise him. He is aware that the Holy Words of God is a threat to the sales of his immoral sex tools, hence, he is trying to twist the scriptures for his own dirty motives.. If only he knew the danger of what he just did! Don't forget that the devil too is a master at twisting the Bible!
Nevertheless, please discard his claims.. The Word of God stands sure.. Premarital sex is a sin, because it is contrary to God's Will. God's Will is that all sexual experiences should be shared between a married man and his female wife only, in the safe circle of their marriage.
The Bible says in Hebrews 13:4: "Marriage is honorable among all, and (let) the marriage bed (be) undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge"
It means, those that indulged in premarital sex will not only hurt themselves (STDs, unwanted pregnancies, etc), but will attract punishments to themselves (and even the devil will have a chance to afflict them).
God Himself said: "...the sexually immoral...shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death" Revelation 21:8
The guy even claimed that during the time of Mary and Joseph, virginity wasn't highly regarded. That's a lie from the pit of hell! Their society was a very conservative one, and women caught indulging in sexual immorality are usually stoned to death!
The guy also claimed that you can sleep around because "God only sees a clean and a pure heart". Can you imagine! If you wear a clean white dress, won't you avoid anything that can get it stained?
In conclusion, although the world is currently vehemently corrupt (as we are in the last days), I want you to know that there are still many of us (Sons and Daughters of YAHWEH) still obeying Him and living lives of total purity. And guess what? We are happy and blessed. We are enjoying our marriages, and raising godly and responsible children. God bless you and thank you for speaking up. |
Family › Re: Why Your Diasporan Friends And Family Do Not Send You Money When You Ask. by KLand(m): 8:45pm On May 31, 2020 |
eazzzy1: Are you a Nigerian? do you have friends and family in diaspora or home who are doing well for themselves but will ignore your request to send money all the time? before you call them stingy or wicked, here are some of the reasons why rich friends do not give out money;
1. They don't have enough: Enough is subjective, someone can earn as much as $100,000/annum but feel he's not earning enough, some people have these dreams of being wealthy and that salary isn't sufficient to get them there. So you have a friend/relative who works in a big firm abroad, you think he's rich, he thinks he isn't earning enough. Even millionaires have needs too.
2. You are not the only one making financial demands: You think you are his best friend because you went to secondary school together and were seat mate or bunk mates in the hostel so automatically he should be predisposed to meeting your needs, well there are primary school best friends, university best friends, first love, NYSC best friends, Neighbours, uncles, aunties, brothers etc who think their request should be met too. It is impossible to meet all these needs.
3. Making financial demand is never a one time thing: I had this habit of giving money to people who ask for financial favors the first time. I thought since they never asked for such before, they must really be in need. I soon found out that after that first time they run to me whenever they need money again, sometimes they space out the request like two months, some every month etc. I then realize that the $100, $200 i send them is never going to be sufficient, they will always come back for more. So i joined the God will provide gang.
4. Yahoo boys : Not every fraudster hacks into companies accounts, or forge the accountants signature, or even find lonely older women/men to scam. Some yahoo boys have resorted to begging, they send you message of how their dad is dying in the hospital, how their sister got arrested for a crime she didn't commit and they need a lawyer bla bla, they call these lies format and once you send them money they pop champagne and call you client.
5. General realization : One day i was going through my bank statement and i noticed i gave out about $500 monthly to family and friends. The same me who will walk into H & M, see a shirt of $40 and think it's too costly. I either buy it grudgingly or wait till it's on sale to buy. I realized i wasn't taking care of myself enough. Most people will come to this realization at a point in their lives.
This thread isn't limited to just people abroad, it include people who work and earn who are home based too. How do you cope with demands?Diasporans what made you rethink your generousity?
Feel free to add yours. It's all right. |

Christianity is the definition of idolatry.
As in, everything about Christianity is fake and malicious.
Whilst our parents was concerned with promoting science, technology and intellectual improvement, Christianity on the other hand is concerned with murder, brainwashing, theft, impersonation, desecration, defamation and slavery.
