I will suggest 2 ways that can help: 1. Spiritual 2. Physical Spiritual - If you are born again, pray against the spirit of porn, immorality in your life, and plead the blood of Jesus on your mind. Saturate your mind with the word of God. Read the word of God regularly. Physical - Identify your points of temptions, TV, movies, Phone, Apps etc and set boundaries. Get an accountability partner. The post was very educative. But then I do not encourage divorce because no marriage is irredeemable. See this article: https://victorscorner.com/2016/10/07/towards-a-better-marriage-7-shut-the-door-on-divorce/ And before you divorce your spouse, think of your children. Because, they are sinners - disobeying God's commandment: Thou shall not commit adultery. Meaning, don't sleep with someone who is not your spouse. |
My take away from this post: when it comes to making luxury cars, Germany is the one country, followed by Britain and Italy. |
Righteousness89:Thank you. |
handsomeyinka:A breath of fresh air. Thanks for speaking up. |
The world has grown more than this. We have some teenage millionaires and many millionaires in their twenties. |
Please follow your heart. |
Just do what the Bible says: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9. Someone have the ABC principle: 1. A - accept Jesus in to your life. 2. B - believe that you are saved with all your heart. 3. C - confess that you are saved by faith. If you still have doubts, you can DM me. |
That's why it's good to have a back up singer. In terms like this, you can step back and allow the person step forward to continue leading the worship. When next you experience blankness, try speaking in other tongues. Your spirit will be fired up. |
Lavisha:Good to know. |
BigSarah:Wow, for real? |
Please don't give up. Education is a leverage. Sooner or later it will pay off. |
I went to church ooo. Glad to be back to congregational worship after the Covid 19 lockdown. |
At present, it has to be Sinach's The Name of Jesus. |
Kdon2:True, but I just wonder how the child has been made to feel. |
Go physically to your bank to report it. If the transactions are genuine, the money will be left in your account. But if it was an error, you will have to give them a written consent to reverse it from your account. And if the funds were fraudulently transferred, that's where the issue is. If you don't report it, it means you are complicit. By all means, don't transfer or use the money untill you clear all the issues around it. |
Chino4NAUTH:You are a wise man. Keep it up. |
It makes women vulnerable in every area, especially emotionally. It's good you have decided to avoid the temptation. |
You have a point there and I can see where you are coming from. This is why as Christians (believers in Christ) who are not allowed to have a boy/girl friend, because that will inevitably lead to sex. And the practice of sex for us is a sin for an unmarried person. So the advice is: keep all relationships platonic, without sex, until you are married. It's a tough call, but we are doing it and it has been saving plenty of issues. |
Your point is understood but I wouldn't take the gift back if I were you. It is not by force to buy expensive gifts when it's your child's turn to celebrate. Just buy what you can afford. That's all. |
Another impact of Christianity on the land. Commendable. |
It is not so much about giving your physical goods to God. It is about giving your heart to God. God should be your top priority, not wealth and not any other thing in life. But you can be a Christian and still be rich. Both do go together. What can't go together is loving your wealth and God at the same level. If you are in doubt, I will mention that Jesus became poor to make us rich. "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich." 2Corr. 8:9 |
Sorry for what you went through. This is another example of the negative consequences of divorce. It's good to note that despite what you went through, it still graduated. So congratulations. As per your parents, all I can say is that there is room for forgiveness. But I leave that to you to decide. Humanly speaking, it might be difficult for you to forgive them. But with God's love in our hearts forgiveness is possible. If you are a Christian, remember the story of Joseph in the Bible. His brothers tried to kill him and later sold him to slavery. But in the end, he forgave them. So since you asked, I will suggest you forgive your parents and reconcile with them. But that doesn't mean their burdens will fall on you. You can only do your best. |
My favourite Bible version is the KJV, now upgraded to the NKJV. That's the version I have been used to. All the Bible quotes I memorised were learnt from that version. So I have gotten used to style and language. All though, I often make reference to other versions while doing a study, I have continued to use the NKJV as my base. |
Atlanta 96, Our Dream Team winning the Olympic soccer gold. |
You shall know the truth, the truth shall set you free. The problem is not that you are eating in the dream. The problem is that you have not used your faith in Christ to assert your authority over demonic oppression or manifestation in your body. That's what you need to do if you are born again. |
Very creative. I can relate cos my wife does things like this too. |
Commendable. But I'm still waiting for affordable made in Nigeria cars. |
Any one who has the right knowledge can give marital advice. Single or married. Reverend father or not. Paul in the Bible was not married but he was the one that taught marriage most in the New Testament. I'm married now. But I have been giving marital counseling from my single days. |
The points are valid. Let me also add that sharing the testimony of what God has done for us brings glory to God and shame to the devil, and also strengthens our own faith. |
Did your father leave a will? If yes, he may have already stated how his assets will be distributed. If not, then you will havr to go process a letter of administration first. That will make you the administrator of your father's estate on behalf of your family. You will need it access the funds in his bank accounts. Hope this helps. |
