The former bayelsa Governor built a massive edifice befitting an emperor only for d new Governor to say it is too grandiose for him, he will rather convert it into a 6 star hotel than use it. I won't be surprise many months down d line, d state Goverment will come with anorther c-oc-k & bull story that d hotel is ran at a loss and d stupendious edifice sold off to private individuals. Guess who d private individual will be, I will not be surprise Mr Jonathan afterall Babangida has a huge pile in Minna so does Baba in Abeokuta, so why not Jonathan taking over Sylvia's house. That will pave d way for Mr Dickson to build his own Governor's lodge. And circle goes on and on. |
The Eggons are fighting for d soul of their state. In fact they are fighting for their independence from Hausa / fulani haegonomy. Just like d Beroms in Plateau who are in control of their own destiny d Eggons are fighting hard to dislodge d likes of Al- makura from d corridors of power foreever and i stand with them for their emanicipation. Afterall democracy is a game of numbers, if they are d majority in d state, common sense dictates they should be d ones controlling d affairs of d state. |
The ingenious people should dislodge those hausa/ fulani controlling nassarawa state. Now that i know what is going, d ingenious people should wrestle power from those hausa / fulani pretenders ruling them or they remain slaves. I 100% support their cause. I was suprise when someone with an arabic sounding name was elected governor in a middle belt state. |
Someone should shut up this fat benioise militant with a bullet to d head. If men of virtue can be hung by abacha, men like ken wiwa saro how much more this loud mouth beer belly fagot. |
@solomon111 I want you to anzwer d question? Who is d owner of River's state jet? Is d Governor & family Deputy Governor & family Commizioners & familiy Special Advizers & familiy Civil Servants & family including primary school, secondry school teachers and state uni lectuerers Rivers Sentors & Reps men & family And last but not d least all citizens of Rivers State since d jet was bought with d peoples commonwealth. I await your answer? |
It is not a law, it is an official witch-hunt Gazette for political office holders. Is it d minister in abuja that will be monitoring who is flying in oyedepo's plane. ![]() |
These are one of those rules written in d staturory books but cannot be enforced. Obviously it can be enforced when a Governor like Rotimi Amechi is marooned somewhere with other VIP's on board the NCAAP or whatever their acronym is would turn around and remind d Governor he is not allowed to carry any other person on board except his immediate family. Pertinent question though? If d plane belongs to d state as purported by d Governor does that not give d commisioners and family, special adviser's & family, LG Chairman, Councillors, state civil servants and their families, state teachers, lecturers, state reps in house of reps & senate in fact d whole citizens of d state d same right to ride on d plane, since d plane was bought or leased using d state's commonwealth. If this law is challenge in court it will be defeated wholesomely without any doubt. |
The biggest undoing of Abuja is lack of proper administrative manager like a mayor of Governor. The minister of Abuja is an unecessary appendage to pdp who does d presidencies bidding. Abuja needs a mayor. |
Wether we like it or not 16 years of ACN has depressed any development stride that Lagos could have capitalised on. I left Naija 20 years ago and d only roads connecting d mainland to d island is d samr and only 3 routes that have existed since d 80's. Ikorodu road, 3rd mainland bridge and Malu / Apapa axis. What has ACN done to alleviate d sufferings of poor Nigerians, nothing. Those pictures of congested and choked gridlocked traffic is an eyesore, this only happens when u have more cars on d road than alternative routes. I remember b4 they built 3rd mainland bridge there use to be odd and even numbrr days for vechiles coming into Lagos island. Lagos not only needs 4th mainland bridge but 5th and 6th mainland bridges plus openining up d badagry axis in a boulevard version as done in kinhasa, it is then i will know d govt of Lagos State is working. Not building 4 km in a suppose 60 km roads from lekki to epe only to put toll gates on kilometer 2 and another toll gate at km 6. That is daylight robbery. ACN has failed Lagosians. |
When you pray, fast and read d bible, d holy spirit's connection with you will come as a series of suggestion which u might think it was your own suggestion but alas it is d holy spirit. The holy spirit tend to raise d bar each time you overcome a hurdle. That is what is called strecthing your faith. I was fasting and praying and also reading d bible when d holy spirit put in my mind why don't you try dry fasting. Normally I do wet fasting 6 am to 6 pm, but on this occassion d holy spirit put in my mind to try dry fasting that is no food and no water or fluid. I thought to myself can I really do that? but to my own surprise, i have not only did it, it is now a norm in my daily life. The holy spirit put it in mind that any good christain should a matter of routine practise spiritual exercise just like a sports man goes to d gym to exercise any chridtain worthy of that name should engage in spiritual exercise. For now my fasting days are every mondays and thursday dry and one wet during d week but not compulsory. You should learn to throw your faith from time to time, like quoting what jesus said in d new testament when praying. |
LG elections in any state in nigeria is a sham. They more or less do the Governors bidding, I sometimes wonder why hold elections when the results 100% of the time goes only one way. You spend millions of naira holding elections that can only go one way. |
Sylvia had powerful freinds, I heard Abramovich was a personal freind and he comes to Yenogua with his yaght moored at d coast. Hence why Sylvia spent so much in that house. Reliable sources inform me Abrahavovich buys bunkered Nigeria oil for d cheap and sell on, Sylvia was d middle man. I also understand that sylvia has an executive box at Stamford bridge. |
Since this Dickson man will not stay in d Governor's lodge it goes without saying another Governor's lodge will be built that befits Mr Dickson. Bayelsans strike me as clueless people for real as someone mentioned earlier. What of the abandoned 20 storey Hotel Jonathan was building in d middle of Yenogua, what will happen to that edifice if d Governor's lodge becomes an hotel. ![]() |
He probabaly started enjoying d fruit of his labour towards the tail end of his career. It is a shame it can happen to anyone of us. That is why those of you who are young and verile strive to own your own business so that retirement will be at your own terms. ![]() |
Jollyfication na im dey kill person. See how Amechi is junkenting from one party to the other only because he has a jet, from ACCRA to Abuja to Owerri to Akure. The bible is right in saying those that store wealth and other goodies on Earth has being paid in full, FOR their minds body & soul would be attached to those goodie-goodie to the detriment of serving God and in Amechi's case serving his community. This Governor is like a kid in a candy store, once he has acquired that jet hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, it is jollification all the way, the man has lost focus completely. He is courting and planning his own downfall with his own hands. Softly -Softly Mr Governor, pride goes b4 a fall. |
The town of Biu in Southern Borno State is majority christain, so is the zuru area of kebbi state and obviciously southetn Kaduna state. |
He is a beacon of hope in Boko Haram infested Northern Nigeria. Bombs are going off all around his state but none comes remotely to him or his state, it is either he is a very astutue politician or a discreet cheer-leader for BH backing them by way of bribe to let his state live in peace. Whatever he is doing works other Governors need to go and ask him what d secret is? Anyways kudos to him, the state is waxing on from strenght to strenght everyday making his candidature for the Presidency a very viable one. |
If its true he is a fraudster, what is the nigerian authorithies waiting for, Nigeria & Britain has extractdition orders except of course the guy have served his time in d UK and deported. |
There is a word called " apa " in Yoruba language or spendthrift in english this man Akpabio is the number 1 "Apa" in Nigeria after Governor Amechi of Rivers State. They are real humpty-dumpty, big hollow empty heads. |
That nigerian Population cannot be a true reflection of what is on the ground. Borno State can never be still 4 million+ h |
OR BETTER STILL, WHY Don't Boko Haram form a Political Party and run in 2015, if they win Borno and Yobe State, they should be allowed to run it the way they like, if they want to run it like the Talibans ran Afghanistan that is their choice, after-all Democracy is Government of the people, by the people for the people, abi I lie ![]() |
Boko Haram has now become a monster, that is more deadlier than the fictitious vampire, her lust for human blood has become very un-nerving and it seems the authorities have lost hope, control and are both harp-less & helpless to this reign of terror. |
Boko Haram has now become a monster, that is more deadlier than the fictitious vampire, her lust for human blood has become very un-nerving and it seems the authorities have lost hope, control and are both harp-less & helpless to this reign of terror. The question that have been bothering me for sometime is, are we harnessing all our security forces properly? And by Security forces I am talking of the Army, Air-force, the Police, the SSS, "CID-OR PLAIN Cloth police officers", Immigration Officers and Custom Officers. Are we managing these forces properly, have we got the right numbers of personnel on the ground, do they have the right working equipment to do the job. Are we managing the crisis well, deploying the right force to the right theater and vice versa? Well I believe the way forward out of this quagmire and cul-de-sac we have suddenly found ourselves is , we should look for an "Insurgency Czar" on a $$$$ 'dollar salary' who will micro manage, harness, and deploy the forces in a more effective and efficient way. The "IC" would project manage the whole insurgency business with clear a mandate of eradicating it or quitting if he/she fails to deliver. I sometimes wonder why so many nations in Africa hire a foreign coach to micro-manage their national football teams, obviously without thinking too deep for an answer to that question, one can satisfactorily conclude that football is a result oriented driven business so is war, insurgency and un-relentness killing, bombing and miming of innocent Nigerians. So why are we treating the Boko Haram crisis with kids gloves, don't we want results? The Government is playing lip service and toying with the lives of innocent Nigerians as the crisis seems to get worse every other week. Is it not time to change tact and look for a Nigerian amongst the 160 million of us who can sort out this problem and if there are no Nigerians with the expertise and the technical know how on how to resolve the problem, we should not be shy of hiring a foreigner who would do the job. This country is making a mountain out of a mole. At the last count "Boko Haram" has killed well over 5000 people since this renewed-insurgency started and yet we don't seem to care about the lives of all those innocent Nigerians that have been lost. Just yesterday some kids were killed on their way home from an exam centre . What kind of Government do we have in this nation? On a personal note, a foreigner would be a better choice for me, because of our never ending inter-tribal bickering which without mincing words could have contributed to this crisis. A foreigner with a neutral view should be able to unravel the mysteries behind 'Boko Haram' , that is my own 2 cent in dealing with this unending crisis!! ![]() |
what if the senate turns it down, knowing David Mark's passion for d creation of a new state out of Benue state representing the Idomas, what happens? ![]() |
I am impress with what the Ogun State Governor is doing. The guy surely knows his onions. |
if the terrorist are given 10 million naira, then the least piad soldier or police officer who lost his or her life should be given 20 million. We should not be seen to encourage terrorist. As the Northern Elites are calculating 'Boko Haram's total compensation they should put the dead security officers compensation into the frame, wether Nigeria as a nation can afford it is another question. ![]() |
power corrupts, and absolute powers corrupts absolutely, that is the problem with akpabio. |
With people like Jonathan in power in Niaja, I have pointed out to my families and friends to bury me in the UK(even though this place is full shiiit of its own) so my brother from SA. Come to terms with your new home in S.A. But having said that, Naija is still the place to be if u want to be a millionaire over night, Nigeria is an un-tapped heaven which the discerning mind can make a fortune. |
[nn |
A Law should be put in our constitution whenever any of our leaders back track without any reasonable compromise from the other party in this case 'Boko Haram' their discrepancies should be pointed out to them while they fall on their swords and resign. |
Is that why killing of innocent people by boko haram must continue? Do you know the number of innocent people that die daily?A war of attrition is a war of attrition. Collateral damage is bound to happen, the terrorist organisation would sooner rather than later run out of would be suicide bombers. But given them a reprieve to re-organise and strengthen themselves should be a No-No by any wise Government, it will mean all the gain of the past few years would have being for nothing. All the intelligence gathering and operational burst up of terrorist cell network would have being in vain. If Jonathan want to go down this inglorious route of amnesty he should just resign quietly, because the stance he is taken now is at variance with his earlier view that they(the FG) cannot negotiate with Ghost. ![]() |
