You can buy fairly used battery cages that can carry 90 birds per unit

BusinessRe: What Can I Do With 3million by knowledge4(m): 6:49pm On Jan 05, 2012
Another good opportunity is the cassava cultivation business.
Rent a hectare of land in Ogun State for N10k yearly
A hectare will yield 30 tonnes of cassava
A ton from the farm cost N3000 and can be sold forN7000- N9000 per ton in Lagos
This means that the production cost per ton is lower than N3000.00
Do your own due diligence on this.
Do not hand any money to anyone who says he can cultivate for you.
PoliticsRe: Bicycle Vs Other Means Of Land Transportation! by knowledge4(m): 6:04pm On Jan 05, 2012
Another income revenue for the police will be created in Lagos
Every bicycle owner & rider has to carry his Bicycle Particulars, helmet, C-Caution, Fire Extinguisher, Certificate of Road Worthiness, Riders Card, EMR, Purchase receipt and MOT.
In Lagos, there are routes where motorcycles have been banned. It may apply to bicycles too.
I think its a good idea to start riding bicycles as a palliative measure
However those leg pedalled bicycles wont be ideal for Lagos where you have to cover great distances.
There used to be an engine propelled bicycle which can do 40 kms an hour. i think it uses one litre of fuel to cover 40kms.I saw the advert a long time ago but am not sure.
Such a bicycle,if available will sell in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: 1600 Buses To Be Deployed Nation Wide by knowledge4(m): 5:57pm On Jan 05, 2012
Divide 1600 by 36 states?
That is 44 buses per state. Grossly inadequate.
Lagos State Government has hundreds of buses in its Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) scheme, yet there is a huge vacuum.
The promised 44 buses per state: How will the fueling of the buses go? Is it not at N150.00 per litre that the buses will be fuelled?
If the buses are fuelled at N150 per litre, what will be the transport fare?
If the buses are handed over to private investors to manage, then it is obviously not going to be different from the commercial operators in town
This is no solution yet. Its back to square 1.
A better option would be to introduce Railway Transportation powered by electricity
PoliticsRe: Effect Of Fuel Subsidy On The Common Man On The Street by knowledge4(m): 11:41pm On Jan 02, 2012
Cogent, you are very right.
Most of them complaining on the net will never get on the streets to protest.
This is the reason why the government keeps enslaving them and riding on their backs all the time.
What happened in Egypt, libya,Tunisia, cannot happen here because Nigerians are too cowardly to stand up to fight for their rights!
PoliticsRe: Stop Moaning... Petrol Is 326.21 Naira a litre in the UK! by knowledge4(m): 11:13pm On Jan 02, 2012
Petrol in libya is N2.20kobo per litre. In Algeria,it is N31.00. In Venezuela, it is N17.00 and Venezuela has about 40 functional refineries within and outside the country. Libya has free education, free health services, free power supply and free telephone services for the citizens.
Britain has unemployment benefits, national health insurance, functional alternative transport systems and many other benefits for the citizens.
What does the Nigerian government have for its citizens? Absolutely nothing other than removal of subsidies to cover up for the govt's inefficiencies and maladministration!
we generate our own power supply via generators in Nigeria because power supply from the National Grid is erratic. In my area, there has been no power for about two weeks. The residents in my area have been using generators powered by petrol and diesel. Even without electricity supply, the electricity bills come regularly and we are expected to pay for what we did not use.
Yet the govt is increasing the cost of petrol from N65.00 to N150.00 and an insensitive UK based Nigerian who is enjoying 24 hour power supplyin the UK is justifying this wicked act.
How many residents in the UK have petrol generators? Every home in Nigeria has one.
PoliticsRe: Stop Moaning... Petrol Is 326.21 Naira a litre in the UK! by knowledge4(m): 7:58pm On Jan 02, 2012
Thor, you are not making sense yet.
If taxes are not meant for subsidising fuel consumption, why dont you advise the Nigerian government to have functional refineries and stop importing petroleum products?
Why dont you advise the FGN to set up functional transport system, power supply infrastructure, health system like that of the UK?
Here in Nigeria, a Nigerian builds his own house, installs a borehole in it to get water, generates his own power with an imported generator, polices his environment himself, pays for health care in private hospitals, takes his children to private schools from knidergarten to university and repairs and builds roads in his community. Yet you expect this same Nigerian to pay N326 per litre because Uk residents pay same?
When was the last time you visited Nigeria?
PoliticsRe: Stop Moaning... Petrol Is 326.21 Naira a litre in the UK! by knowledge4(m): 7:39pm On Jan 02, 2012
Thor, the first poster and originator of this thread in out of tune with reality comparing the Nigerian economy with the British economy.
Is the minimum wage in Nigeria equal to that in the UK?
If he does not know how to make a sensible contribution, why dont he shut up?
If Thor can pay N326 per litre in the UK, then Nigerians should pay same?
Or is he bragging to us that he can pay N326 per litre? Is that not arrogance!
Abeg!

Have you read the book 'My Hatred for Christ and Christianity' by O.O.Paul
Please look for it and read it.
It was written by a former Muslim Jihadist, now converted to Christ.
He was a notable Nigerian Islamic Jihadist while a Moslem who played prominent roles in many Jihad campaigns.
It will open your eyes to the truths that you have been blinded to.
PoliticsRe: Christmas Day Bomb Blast: No Mass Burial For Victims by knowledge4(m): 7:57pm On Jan 01, 2012
Decent burial or no decent burial, what are we burying?
An empty dead body that is going to dust!
The more important is the spirit and the soul which have returned to the Creator to give account and face judgement.
Why we are still alive now, rather than focus our energies on the dead for whom nothing can work for anymore, we should check our lives to see whether we are standing in God's will and quickly make amends. Death can come at anytime and in whatever guise but after death is instant judgement (Hebrews 9:27).The Madalla Bomb Victims did not know that that was their last day.
That a soul will rest in perfect peace is dependent upon, and determined by how that person lived his life on Earth in the light of God's word.
Make hay now while the sun is still shining. Repent and make straight your ways before the Lord.

It is the fulfillment of Jesus prophecy in Matthew 24 that in the last days, false prophets shall arise.
There is a difference between 'Man of God' and 'Man with God'.
Many people are too gullible, ignorant of God's Word, spiritually bankrupt, therefore fall easy prey to false and fake Man of God.

God's word is clear, very clear and God cannot change His words to favor anyone.
As long as the wife is alive, the husband can not remarry and vice versa.(Romans 7:1-3) (1 Corinthians 7:10-16)
To remarry when the first wife is still alive constitutes adultery which is damnable in Hell fire.
Divorce is not allowed under whatever guise.
Therefore, remarriage in this context is an act of disobedience to God's word.
The correction to these wrongs is to do Restitution (Ezekiel 33:14-15).
To do otherwise is to risk eternal condemnation in Hellfire for all of eternity.
God is not mocked. His words stand for ever (Isaiah 40:cool
PoliticsRe: Lagos To Ban Okada, Fashola’s Committee Endorses Plan by knowledge4(m): 5:30pm On Jan 01, 2012
It will likely worsen unemployment and perhaps crime levels . the govt is not creating jobs for the people and now intends to frustrate the same people who have created a job for themselves.

The vacuum that will be created will lead to untold hardship becauset he transport system is grossly inadequate to cater for the transport needs of the people .Before the ban comes into effect, the govt should put in place a Railway service, a larger fleet of BRT Buses and Ferry service to cover the whole of Lagos transport network.

However, the govt may have a point because the okada system though a blessing is also a worrisome evil in many areas. Methinks, the govt can fashion out ways and plans to curtail their excesses than resort to an outright ban which may likely backfire somehow. For example, to organize them in zones for registration, enforce the use of crash helmets, enforce the use of road worthy bikes, training for the riders, uniforms that identify them etc.
PoliticsRe: FG Set For Mass Recruitment Into Security Agencies by knowledge4(m): 5:14pm On Jan 01, 2012
It is a wrong step because there is no database in the country to ensure that the right people are engaged.
what will likely happen is that all sorts of riff raffs including Boko Haram and armed robbers will be engaged in error as happened during OBJ's regime when the Police did a similar exercise. The security situation would be worsened and compounded.
The National Census and the National Identity card which would have provided a central database of Nigerians were messed up on the altar of political banditry.

Who is a terrorist? what is terrorism and what is a terrorist gang?
Any one or group who carries a weapon of destruction illegally and goes about killing and maiming innocent persons under whatever guise is a terrorist. Therefore, Boko Haram, OPC, MEND, EGBESU, MASSOB, FULANI MURDERERS IN JOS and all the other tribal & ethnic armies are all terrorists at least in the Nigerian context. The problem we have and why these gangs are thriving is that the FG does not have the will to flush them out.
Christianity EtcRe: Okotie Cancels New Year Eve Service by knowledge4(m): 4:41pm On Jan 01, 2012
Do not blaspheme against God with reckless statements else you incur the wrath of God who can destroy both body and soul and cast one into Hell. On the day of judgment ,you will give account of your reckless statements(2 Corinthians 5:10 & Hebrews 9:27).Therefore, beware.

Our God has not forsaken his churches. He is the God who fights for us while we hold our peace(Exodus 14:14). Christians are not running from any dark powers and cannot run because our God,the Xtian God cannot run from anyone. He is the God of vengeance (Psalm 94:1), a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29). You can not stampede Him to act.He is a sovereign God who acts at His own time. God will act soon to bring the Boko Haram menace to an end in Nigeria. Nigerian Xtians are already praying and our God in Heaven answers prayers. Prayer is the Xtians' weapon and no power can overcome the power of prayer as long as no power can overcome our God,the Xtian God in Heaven, the creator of Heaven and Earth.

If you are a discerning Xtian, you should know that what is happening around the world (Boko Haram, terrorism, wars, floods, diseases, famine, drought, earthquakes, economic crisis, increasing lawlessness and many other disorders) are a fulfillment of Jesus Christ's prophecy in the Bible in Matthew Chapter 24 signalling the fast approaching Day of Judgment and end of the world.

The message in this is for you to make straight the crooked ways and live a life worthy of Christ to be confident to stand before Christ for judgment.if a Xtian dies in a Boko Haram bombing and has lived a crooked life,he will end up in the same Hell that a Boko Haram suicide bomber will end up in.God is no respecter of persons. His message, warning and  and standard to all men is clear: Repent and make straight your ways before the Lord.

Methinks it a shame that Nigeria, an expert in peacekeeping operations elsewhere around the world cannot root out Boko Haram with the military arsenal at the FG's disposal?
Its a bigger shame that all the intelligence outfits in Nigeria cannot locate the Boko Haram bases for elimination. Could it be that the FG is treading cautiously to ensure that the conflict does not snowball into a religious conflagration? For how long at the expense of the cold blooded murder of innocent in bombing raids? Is it not time we go back to the root to address our problems as a nation.
Lets go back to Sovereign National Conference!
PoliticsRe: Breaking News: GEJ Declares State of Emergency in selected LGAs in Borno, Yobe, Niger and Plateau. by knowledge4(m): 3:51pm On Jan 01, 2012
Declaring state of emergency is no solution
If the emergency is declared in a selected area, and the bombing menace spreads to other parts of the country, what will the declaration serve?
It is better to tackle the problem from the root to forestall further occurence.
How did the Boko Haram enter the country and massively build up their weaponry under the nose of the Police, Army, Navy, Airforce,SSS, NSA and the other numerous security & intelligence outfits in the country. These are the security lapses we should be addressing.
How did the OPC, Niger Delta Militant Groups and other tribal armies come about their massive stockpile of weapons which are illegal?
When Boko Haram entered Nigeria in 2002 and set up a base in Maiduguri, in which direction was the Customs, immigration and the military base in that area looking that it took them 6 years to entrench themselves before launching their bombing campaigns?
Changing and reshuffling security chiefs dont work. The FG has to take decisive steps to address the problem
BusinessRe: Are You Into Network Marketing? If So Share Your Success Story by knowledge4(m): 2:54pm On Jan 01, 2012
If anyone is interested, research and study the pyramid scheme business model in detail, then apply it to Nigeria and you will know at what point the saturation occurs and what makes the majority of Nigerian participants to end up empty handed and quit in frustration.

The fact remains and i stand to be corrected, that many of the MLMs operating in Nigeria are scam outfits defrauding gullible and undiscerning investors or participants.
Those that have crashed within 5 years of set up.Where are they? Why are they no longer in business? Why did they crash out?

But there are genuine, legitimate and rewarding MLMs operating here in Nigeria, but very few and can easily be identified based on various criteria which i am going to highlight on my blog for the benefit of those interested in MLM to know the legitimate ones to do business with.In Nigeria, there has been very few success stories in any of the MLMs because its application in Nigeria was to hoodwink and defraud people.

MLM is one of the best models for free enterprise because it enables a manufacturer to avoid the huge costs of managing a company sales team. it is a cost effective stream for an entrepreneur.

There are a few legitimate MLM businesses, even in Nigeria but you must know how to identify the very few genuine ones before you stake your money, time and energy in any of them. There are various criteria that can be used to identify a genuine legitimate MLM business to do business with.
Any MLM business that is more focused on the sales of its products and which does not focus on recruitment of salesmen as a means of growing the network, and does not pay persons for recruiting others, is a legitimate network to do business with. Watch it, there are more criteria to use to identify a genuine MLM business besides this. Many MLMs everywhere, including Nigeria are disguised Pyramid schemes to fool the undiscerning!

Any MLM business that is more interested in recruitment of persons into the network, and pays people in the network for recruiting others into it, and promotes people in the network on the basis of the numbers of persons recruited, is not a legitimate MLM business to do business with. Many of those that have set up and crashed in Nigeria fall into this category.

The 95% that often lose out in many MLMs are those at the bottom levels whose money is used to pay those at the upper levels and must lose their money to benefit others and when there is no one below them to pay them, they quit in frustration. This happens when the market has become saturated which is often the situation in countries like Nigeria.
More details later on how to identify genuine and scam MLM business.

When you identify a legitimate, genuine MLM to do business with, there are many factors and principles which you must be conversant with and apply religiously to succeed because even the legitimate ones are not get-rich-quick schemes.
BusinessRe: Are You Into Network Marketing? If So Share Your Success Story by knowledge4(m): 12:22pm On Dec 27, 2011
Network marketing also known as multilevel marketing or MLM is one of the best models for free enterprise but has been thoroughly abused by fraudsters, scammers and con artists who use it as a legal means to rob people of their money.

Many MLMs across the world especially the vast majority of those that set up in Nigeria operate on the Ponzi and Pyramid scheme models which are illegal in many countries of the world. These MLMs are really not selling any real sellable product. What they are selling to you is merely an idea, the idea that you can quickly become rich with little or no effort on your part. The majority of their victims are those who are new to the world of marketing and who believe that the best way to own a business and make money is to join an MLM business as an independent distributor.

The real facts are:
1) At least 95% of participants in any MLM business anywhere including Nigeria always fail miserably and quit empty handed and in frustration.
2)It is easier to make money in a gambling outfit than to make money in any MLM Business anywhere.
3)The beneficiaries in any MLM business are always very, very few individuals and are usually the operators who set up the business and those who joined much earlier. These few are the ones who usually flaunt their income testimonials and success stories in order to attract new comers or novices into the network.
4)Many of these MLMs do not last in the market place usually less than 5 years because,by the way they set up to operate, they must collapse and the collapse usually comes within 5 years. This is the reason why many of those who set up in Nigeria few years ago are no longer in business.
Beware of network marketing claims.Do not swallow any without a thorough analysis. It is easy to analyze them but many Nigerians, motivated by greed get hoodwinked too easily.
