Why do we overflog this issue of the types of lucrative businesses that can be done with a specific amount of money?
Too many of such threads abound on this forum.
There are no magic biz ideas anywhere!
All businesses are lucrative. In any business, you"ll find people who have become excelled in it and also many failures in the same line of business.
Business is about providing solutions. It is about organizing resources( men, money and materials) to achive a goal.
To make money, look for a problem or a need, get the solution and create a business to provide that solution. That is all.
Either online or offline business, find problems to solve and you will make money. People pay for solutions.
For example:
Problem: People need light in many parts of Nigeria due to poor supply from the national grid
Solution: Market alternatives such as solar products & candles. These products sell very well in different environments.

Problem: Many are too busy to clean their homes. Househelps are difficult to come by.
Solution: Set up a House cleaning business and provide the services they need or set up a recruitment agency to supply househelps.

Problem : There is a need for computer skills & online business training
Solution: Set up a school and train people computer literacy and online biz skills

Problem: Waste disposal is a huge problem because the government is failing in this area
Solution : Set up a waste disposal outfit.

Think. Find a problem, look for a solution, create a biz to provide the solution,you make money.

The banking industry is not stable and many of the banks are in trouble of varying dimensions

Do not look down on it as too menial. There is money in many menial jobs we often look down on in Nigeria. keep your degree certificates in your box and face the reality. Many are trapped by their certificates thinking that they must work with a certificate in an office to make a living. Office jobs are fewer now, so you need to look elsewhere to make a living. Look beyond your certificates.

4) You must be ready to work hard, stay focussed and persevere, not giving into discouragement.

   Moin-Moin is a delicacy prepared from beans. Many people love to eat moin moin usually taken along with rice or garri.  Some restaurants do not sell this delicacy because it is somehow tedious to prepare. If you have N5k as your last card, you can do this business in today's Nigeria even as an unemployed graduate.
  Look for restaurants around you both big and small including Bukas, that are interested in selling moin moin but cannot prepare it or dont have time
  Make a deal with them to be supplying them in small quantities maybe 10,20,30.
  You prepare the moin moin in your kitchen at home, pack them neatly and go supply to the restaurants on daily basis.

It is not right and that is not how to do consultancy.
A consultant should state the true picture of the matter for the client to decide and make up his mind.

Paypal does not accept Nigerians.
Opening a PayPal account as a Nigerian is a huge risk
You have to open through the backdoor with false credentials which is not right
If Paypal discovers the real identity, they close down the a/c and any balance in it is forfeited

I disagree. MLM does not work like any other biz venture.
What is the percentage of those participants who make N2million?
Most MLM businesses are designed to benefit a tiny minority.
The vast majority of participants, over 90 % always lose and quit in frustration because the system was created that way.
In Many MLM businesses, the majority must lose out for a few 5% & below to benefit.
The problem with us Nigerians is that we do not analyze these MLM offers before we jump in.
They are designed to trap the undiscerning who are tricked to believe that they can become rich by little or no effort.
One of the ways to quickly identify a scam or fraudulent MLM is when some investors flaunt their incomes to attract others in.
Most MLMs are Ponzi and Pyramid schemes and these schemes do not work for the majority. These schemes are illegal and fraudulent and often disguised as legitimate.
They benefit only the operators who set it up and a few who were fortunate to join very early.
However, there are a few legitimate mlm businesses. they can easily be identified if you can see through their system of operation.
HYIP schemes are Ponzi schemes and are scams too. Every HYIP investment will collapse though the rate of collapse is usually slow but it will collapse.

If the Federal Government made an agreement with them, the agreement should be abided by,inconveniences notwithstanding.
If there was a deadline for the acceptance of amnesty and some militants are surrendering after the expiry date, then the government should not be blamed by refusing to welcome them. However there should be a meeting point for peace to avoid war.
If they return to the creeks to take up arms against the government, that will be too deadly. How will the nation contend with two deadly enemies- Boko Haram Bombers in the North and Niger Delta Militants in the South?.

Avoid get-rich-quick schemes and online overnight riches scams.
If you want online business, you have to learn how the internet works from those who know how it works and have proof, not fly-by-night internet teachers. Internet business is real but does not yield overnight riches. Dont believe anyone who tells you he can teach you to earn $100 in 24 hours.

To get business ideas:
Sit down in a quiet secluded place early in the morning or late night and do some thinking. The ideas will come but write them down as they come, else you forget.

Scan your environment. Take a walk round an area. What do you observe? What problems do you see that needs solutions? What solutions can you provide to a need or problem? Think like an entrepreneur, an innovator. Consider the existing products in the market. How can you add value to an existing product in the market? Business is about solutions to problems. If you can solve problems, you will make money.

In Nigeria, we just jump into business because we see others doing them whereas there are many better and profitable biz opportunities waiting to be exploited if only we can do some thinking and scan our environment. There are no magic business ideas anywhere. Hundreds of biz ideas have been presented and discussed on this forum. You only need to make up your mind. Pick one you consider suitable to do and pay the price to make it work.

I advise that you read the book titled ‘Models & Mentors’ by Uju Onyechere. You will read about 50 men and women who set up great businesses with virtually nothing and rose to the peak. You can do it too if you can believe in yourself. Access to huge capital is not the issue!
Many look down on some ideas as too menial yet the money they seek is in those ideas. Many look down on small amounts of money as inadequate capital and fail to start from scratch with what they have. Many seek get-rich-quick biz ideas that will yield overnight riches without any work. Businesses are built by focus, persistence and consistent hard work. Purge yourself of such beliefs and you are on the road to build a business.

You can set up to provide essential services and basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, transportation, education, baby care, health care and communication. With N15k, if you are creative, focused and persistent, you can set up from scratch and build up a big business.
Nigerians look down on some businesses as too menial,yet that is where the money is.

Seest thou a man diligent in his business, he will stand befor kings,not before mean men.
You have to be creative in present day Nigeria.
Now consider the following offline business idea anyone can do with N15k in present day Nigeria,  if you can keep your ASUU battered degree certificates in your box, humble yourself and try it out:


House Cleaning Agency
If you are willing to work hard,be focussed and patient to see results,you can do good business with the N15 you have if you wont look down on some jobs as too menial. Business is about organizing and mobilizing men,materials and money to achieve a goal.
Scan your environment. there are problems that need solution. Business is about solving problems through solutions
Many working class  people  particularly in Lagos are too busy to clean their homes and househelps are rare in the present day.
They need part-time cleaners who will help wash their toilets, sweep the compound and wash in-house gutters,cut grass,trim flowers and the like.
Print biz cards. 200 copies is about N2500.00. Print receipt books and letter heads
Package yourself as a Professional Cleaning agency. Dress well like a banker and go introducing yourself to them as a Professional  House Cleaner and tell them what you can do. Focus on buildings like flats where the elites live in. However dont rule out 'face-me-i-face-you apartments.
Charge low for a start maybe N3500.00 monthly and agree once weekly cleaning with them. Get about 50 clients in a residential area.

Then look for unemployed young boys and girls and jobless housewives in the area who have nothing doing. Attach one person to 5 houses to clean. Pay them N2500.00 per house and your own profit is N1000 per house. Use the N15k as working capital to buy brooms and buckets and detergent and the like for cleaning.Dress your staff in overalls. Supervise them to ensure they are at their duty posts on work days.
Earning N1k per house from 50 clients will fetch you N50k monthly.
This is much better than retailing recharge cards. The profit on N15k worth of recharge cards is N600.00 and you may not sell N15k worth daily because the competition is too stiff.
Think about this House cleaning  idea and modify it.

Do not look down on N15k. If you can think, it will make a way for you. Start with what you have.
There is a biz idea you can start with just N5k and grow it to a big business.
